Sharing my recent experience at seema grocery dorsett store. They are selling stale snacks (imported from india). I bought spicy sev and it has strong bad smell of oil (which generally comes from outdated oily snacks). I asked for replacement but they wont do it saying product expiry date is good. And then owner says if you had come within 2 days of purchase he would have replaced it.Looks like they are just trying to sell off some old products with newly dated labels. And they even have a notice in store saying no returns/replacement. It just doesnt sound right, if a store is selling a food product and its bad, they cant replace it for another one.Update after owner called me: He says there was some miscommunication with the guy working there. And they are ready to refund.

To me, this is the best Seema Indian grocery brunch. This place is not cosy like the other Seema outlets. But, as usual, the prices are higher compared to Global Foods Market or Pan-Asia.

As a longtime fan, and newer cook if Indian dishes, my wife and I went in to look for certain ingredients. We were met with an onslaught of different choices, some I have already looked up to add to my collection of things to try and enjoy. You will find pretty much everything you need to broaden your food horizon.

This is the worst Store ever1. Expired products and they still keep selling2. The pricing machine won’t work so that you cannot see the price even if it was over priced.3. When asked for price they say I will get receipt ( when an item is over priced and asked to take it back, they won’t )4. There is no right for customer to question.

Very cleverly, the shop owner has removed the price tags from all the items. So you end up frustrated as you cant again and again ask the salesman the prices. All this is being deliberately done so you end up buying costlier items as you are blindfolded. Disgusting.

Been there a few times. Clean place but a little pricey. Also make sure to check the expiry dates of the products before buying them. Greens are okay. I dont know what to think about this but I got the receipts while paying with my card and did not get one when I paid in cash. I am not too positive or negative about this place. It is okay. Have better options available and I have started going to the other store.

I WONT VISIT AGAIN. This store has a very low grade goods, and when you ask about quality among the brands while buying, they suggested me the worst quality brand I have ever seen before. High prices and low quality. They dont even know what they are selling. When dont even take back that product when you call them and tell that it was not good.

I can give 5 stars for cleanliness and for the way the display the products but not for the quality of the veggies. I had to buy 2 coconuts , thank god we asked them to open but only after breaking 4 coconut we were able to get 1 at least, I usually do not buy tomatoes in any Indian store ,this time I wanted to give a try since the store looked very pretty, and finally ended with rotten tomatoes. I am not so sure of the price here.

Its a good Indian grocery stores in Maryland heights community. The place looks well maintained and clean. Make sure you check the expiry dates before buying things. Most of the masalas are expired. Greens are fresh but not clean. Veggies are not fresh. Indian sweets like laddus and jalebis you hey here are not fresh. I have found few items expensive compared to the other Indian grocery store nearby.

Hi,One day i went to this Little India market(Seema Grocery shop) in Dorset road. I purchased few vegetables and a person was weighing using an Electeonic machine. The weight was incorrect. When i checked the quantity and asked to re weigh the same, it gave less than half of the previous weight. Okra initially weight for 1.3 lb and after re-weigh, it gave .43lb. He told the weighing machine was not ON. That gentlemen was the owner of the shop. This is my BAD experience. IF YOU NEED TO GO, KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEIGHT MACHINE.Initially my bill was $29 and after re-weigh, bill came to $19

Review №52

Dishonest merchant; we bought lot of items and he shrewdly put incorrect and raised price on more than few items. My advice either dont visit this store or if you visit make sure you are watchful while these people scan the prices.Problem is if you put incorrect price on 1-2 items it may be overlooked as a genuine mistake, but so many things can only question the ethics of this store. I am definitely never going back. Also it is really STUPID to loose customers by cheating them with 4-5-6 dollars.
