Jack and his team are awesome. My experience was with them a number of months ago abut I am just getting around to this. They did a wheel bearing on my wifes Audi A6, it would have been far more money anywhere else but they did the work and a fair price and they did great work. If you have a Euro vehicle, this is the only place to take it!

One of the greatest experiences Ive ever had at a shop, had an urgent repair that needed to be done on my Volkswagen vanagon , as Im currently going cross country, and they had it done within the day, genuine life savers, everyone was very super pleasant and genuinely cared about the customer, would recommend to anyone and if I ever break down again in Iowa, I will be returning, huge thank you to jack and his team

Jack is a real car guy & that reflects in his shop. I went there just based on google search, to get checked the AC & Horn that went out on my Mercedes. Jack took 20 minutes while the technicians looked at the car & told me that the diagnostic would need some more time. He even gave me a ride back home. He called me the next morning & told me the blower motor & the horns were out (I had jump started my car and that messed up something due to voltage I guess) He gave me a crisp estimate of it & as soon as I said yes, he told me he would order the parts & let me know. He confirmed 2 hours later that the parts will be there tomorrow. The next day my car was ready. 😊I mean, this is excellent service and very reasonable costs. Thank you so much Jack. It was a pleasure.

I just called J&J motors, and whoever I spoke with was very condescending towards me. I feel like it is extremely easy for guys to get frustrated with women when it comes to car issues, but I genuinely never grew up with a father or grandpa who could have taught me about vehicles. I really am behind when it comes to learning about them, but I am trying to just learn and gather information for my own knowledge. Whoever I spoke with all you needed to do was just explain a few things, I never had an issue with the cost, just truly wanting to gain full understanding of what all I was paying for and what the engine reader could find out.

When i took my VW to J&J, it was having a shifter issue where it would not go into gear. i had had taken it to a few other shops previously and either been dismissed or been told i needed a new transmission. i threw a hail mary and took it to J&J . jack and his tech were awesome they listened to what the symptoms were and asked questions to better understand when and what was happening. i left the car there fearing the worst. a few hrs later i received a call and they had found the issue a broken shift weight and thus the car was not able to go into gear bc of it. i asked what the best course of action was and was told it was not needed and would not effect the performance of the car to go without. Thank you to Jack and the whole team at J&J for saving me thousands of dollars in unnecessary replacement of my transmission and your professionalism. forever a J&J customer!

Been a customer at J&J for years. Had major work done on my 98M3, full engine overhaul with shrick cams, to my current 135i with a limited slip install. From complex work to simple fixes, always upfront and honest and work was always done right.

We took our BMW e90 in for a wheel bearing replacement. Was quoted $470. mechanic ended up destroying the hub and axle. Instead of advising us of the cost to repair and replace we were told they had to purchase parts leaving us to believe they would cover the cost for their mistakes. When we finally we notified the car was ready to be picked up over a week later we were left with an unexpected $1400 bill. We charged for the part replacement and all the labor. We tried to work out a deal and were continuously told No money, no car. Even offered to sign a contract conceding to pay for everything but in 2 installments. No money, no car. We called and spoke with the Marion PD and they tried to negotiate with owner and was told the same thing. 2 days later owner called and was hostile on the phone making comments about being a punk kid (to a 40 year old man). We felt it was an unsafe situation to return to so again had the Marion PD meet us to pick up the car. We ended up paying for everything. on the way home we noticed a rubbing/grinding noise. Their was also a black ring of grease on the driver side seat. After this situation, I would never recommend them to anyone.

My guy and I had traveled to town for a quick getaway and were getting ready to leave town when we found ourselves dealing with car trouble and with a Volvo no less. Jack was able to get my car right in, had a look and he and the guys working in his shop determined the problem right away. He was also able to really help us out by coming up with a financially helpful solution. He saved us in more ways than one! Fixed up and back on the road in the same day! I have a 99 328i that has needed service a few times. Jack has always given me a good price for his time, and stands by his work. I was back in Iowa for a weekend and was having some trouble with my BMW. I needed a part that would have cost over $300 new and had to be ordered in. I called up to J&J and told him what I needed - he went out back to a BMW 5-series with the same engine, made sure the part was working properly, and sold it to me on the spot for a good price. I saved a couple hundred bucks, got my car running, and was back on the road within a few hours. Highly recommend!

Pricing is better than dealership and you know who is doing the work. Jack is always committed to doing the right thing and you never wind up with unauthorized repairs or an unexpected bill. I love having my vehicles repaired by someone who is as passionate about vehicles as they are at J&J.
