UPDATE... Unit was installed, runs super quiet. Great wash AND dry. VERY HAPPY. 😊 We had a great experience. The staff was quick to answer all our questions and they were very knowledgeable. They helped us compare many different dishwashers, from features and options and across all price-points. We were able to make an informed decision and received an excellent value on the GE unit we purchased. Great coverage for an extended period of time was a bonus value, and delivery and installation options are quite flexible. Very happy and cant wait for our new dishwasher to come in.

Appliance Wizard is Amazing!!!My husband & I were in search of a refrigerator repair service in the area. When I called Appliance Wizard, I was greeted by Lana who was very nice & helpful in setting up a service appointment for our refrigerator. I few days later I called to change the appointment, & Lana was very accommodating. On the day of the appointment, Sheldon, the refrigerator repairman, called before he arrived & was so pleasant. Within 3 minutes of looking at our ice cube maker, Sheldon diagnosed the problem. We were thrilled to finally get an answer, after quite some time being frustrated with the problem. Sheldon was so professional and quite the expert on refrigerators. My husband & I were extremely pleased with Sheldon’s knowledge & friendly customer service. Appliance Wizard & Sheldon are Number 1 in our book!!

My mom got her washer fixed from here. They said they needed to order a part, then she waited almost a month for the part. Then whenever they finally get it in, she waits another week for them to come. Which is fine, but the guy who fixed her washer didn’t even finish the job. We had to call someone from another company to come fix her washer because apparently it’s hard for somebody to do their…job? Weird. Anyways, I don’t know how the reviews are so high. Extremely disappointed.

I have purchased my refrigerator and my washer and dryer from Appliance Wizard. It is a great business. The folks that work there are well informed about the appliances they are selling and are also customer friendly. The environment is welcoming. I have had very positive experiences at both the Marion and Carbondale stores. I highly recommend them!

I live in a small town and it is sometimes quicker to get deliveries to a business rather than my house. I went to pick up my package and the gentlemen there were nice. They also had some nice appliances for sale too. Check them out!

Appliance Wizard, The Short Version: They are slow to repair your appliance and are money grabbers that will pick your pockets along the way.The Long Version: We were repeat customers that have had Appliance Wizard fix several of our appliances that included: washer, dryer and refrigerator. This has been our typical experience with the Appliance Wizard. An appliance stops working, we call Appliance Wizard to come out and fix the broken appliance. Appliance Wizard on average takes at least one week (sometimes longer) to schedule a date to come out to repair our appliance. Appliance Wizard does not schedule a specific time but a timeframe instead, so you get to waste a period of time from 1-4 hours of your day waiting on Appliance Wizard to show up. Appliance Wizard then shows up, looks at the appliance, tells you its broke (as if you did not already know that), they have to order the part(s) that usually take a day or two to arrive. They then charge $100-$200 for showing up and not fixing the appliance. Appliance Wizard then schedules you to wait another one-two weeks before they come out again to finally fix the appliance for another $150-$300.Update 8/3/2021: We recently had Appliance Wizard fix our refrigerator. It took the usual two weeks to fix it. Then it broke a few days later ruining all of the food stored in the fridge. Appliance Wizard indicated it was a bad part they installed and they came out another week later to fix it again free of cost as it was covered within their time frame of fixing it. I will never, ever use Appliance Wizard again. I will assume the extra expense of purchasing a new appliance as part of the cost of not having the aggravation of dealing with Appliance Wizard ever again.

My son and I went to look at what they had to offer for washers and dryers. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. They have both new and used appliances for sale. I will definitely go back and I highly recommend this place for your future appliance purchases.

Sheldon, the Appliance Wizard technician, was excellent: he was prompt, well-informed, courteous, and very helpful. He explained the problem we were having with our refrigerator -- a clogged drain in back of the freezer -- and gave us a couple options to consider: thaw it out (it will clean itself) or have him unclog it for us. Because the refrigerator needed cleaning anyway, we decided on the first option. In 15 minutes, he was on his way to the next customer, leaving a very satisfied one behind. When we have any further problems with our appliances, we will be back in touch. Thank you! -- and Sheldon -- for the outstanding service.

I would not recommend this business. They were very rude on the phone and not the least bit helpful when dealing with warranty issues from a product that was purchased in August 2020. I was informed by the manufacturer of an upcoming appointment then when Appliance wizard did not arrive in the allotted time I called Appliance wizard only to be rudely informed that they do their own scheduling and have nothing to do with scheduling from the manufacturer under warranty. Very poor attitude from their female service manager.

Our oven element went bad at the house we rent at the lake. Called and had repair Tech Sheldon come out and discovered it needed to be replaced. Had a new one installed within the week since he did not have one on his vehicle. Sheldon was nice a prompt.

They finance you through crooks. You can pay it off in 90 days they say but you’ll have people calling you saying you leased it. $500 dryer for $1200, ain’t happening. Avoid

Our washer suddenly stopped working over the weekend. We called Monday morning and they said they could come between 12 and 4. Someone was at our house by 12:30 p.m. Sheldon was our technician and he was very pleasant. He was able to reset the washer and getting it working again on the spot! Thanks Sheldon!! I have to say that I have been very, very impressed with The Appliance Wizard. We purchased our refrigerator from their store in Marion, IL 4/2019. We recently had an issue with our ice maker (factory defect) and we had to have a service technician come to look at it. Sheldon was very kind, courteous and efficient. He had to come on three occasions to complete what ended up being a total ice maker replacement and was very timely and always called to inform us when he was on his way so we didn’t have to wait around all day at home. We will definitely purchase from their store again in the future. They stand by their equipment and have the best appliance service technicians in the area.

They charged 40 for a part that everywhere else charged around 10-15 bucks. Obviously we was not aware of such a big price difference. We thought it was a our heating coil that went out and the lady was kind enough to test it for us to make sure we wouldnt be wasting 60 dollars for a part we wouldnt need. After we brought the correct parts back and had them tested we then paid for the new ones they said we needed and obviously decided to take advantage of our lack of knowledge for what we where shopping for. Would get our money back but we had already bent the product due to the angle it had to be put into our dryer so since we are not scumbags we are keeping the now damaged product. New refrigerator less than 90 days old. Second time tech had to come out. First time freezing things in cooling unit. Second time same and ice maker quit working. Sheldon fixed the ice maker and then had to order and replace control panel and temp monitor. Both were done in 3 days. Hope this is the final fix. Sheldon was efficient, on time for appointments, called ahead to notify he was on the way.

Sheldon came and was a nice and friendly man. He answered all our questions and was very helpful. I wanted to wipe out the bottom of refrigerator while he had shelves and drawers out, so he waited while I did that. I certainly will recommend Appliance Wizard and Sheldon to friends and family. I also liked that he called when he was on his way to our house and arrived promptly. I don’t like when you wait all afternoon and don’t know when repairman will arrive.

We struggled for some time wondering if our new LG refrigerator was too loud while producing an ear piercing high pitch squeal while running. Sheldon made his first visit and properly identified the compressor was on its way out. In a matter of just a few days I was notified the parts were in and Sheldon was scheduled to make the repairs. Our LG quit cooling and we called The Appliance Wizard. Sheldon came out and quickly identified the compressor as the problem. They got the parts ordered and Sheldon was back within a week. He went above and beyond to get it working, cleaned the coils, and replaced the compressor. Its working great now!

After having several technicians from three different places not able to fix our ice maker, Sheldon then came out and within a short time diagnosed the problem within a few minutes, fixed the ice maker, and it is still working great!! No communication with sales staff. I ordered an electric range and was told that it would be delivered in two weeks. After three weeks, I called them and was told that it would be in the following Friday. Still no range, called again and was assured that it would be in the following Friday. No range Called on Monday and no range, asked for a refund, was told no refunds on special orders, even though they reordered it without my knowledge. Over four weeks to get a range that was supposed to be in in two weeks.I could have bought a similar range from Lowe’s at the same price, but I wanted to buy from a Mom and Pop Store.....what a mistake. The Lowe’s range was in stock and free deliveryThe Appliance Wizard did end up delivering the range and waived their $70 delivery charge because of the inconvenience

We tried buying a used chest freezer, but they had none. They werent interested in taking my old non functioning fridge of my hands and while they would take my fathers working chest freezer that needed a little repair (new door seal), they not only wouldnt give him a penny for it, they couldnt be bothered to drive all the way (6 miles) to Johnston City to get it. Needless to say that despite the recommendation of my best friend, I wasnt impressed.

The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a great selection of appliances. Although I think the appliances are a bit pricey, they do come with a guarantee.

Don’t go here for repairs!!!! I had to give one star because no stars was not an option. I called and had the repairman come out to fix my refrigerator. It was an older man. He didn’t bother to listen to the problem. He got out his screwdriver and pride all the lights out. Then he said he couldn’t fix it. He didn’t bother to look at the code the fridge was flashing. All he told us was is couldn’t be fixed, after he scratched and pried all the lights in the fridge. I called Mid America in Carbondale. They read the code and fixed the fridge. I will never use the Appliance Wizard again. Call Carbondale!!!

We went through our home warranty and they hired the Appliance Wizard to inspect & fix our washer. It is now a month & a half later and our washer is STILL broken. They have been out six, seven, maybe eight times now to work on it and still the issue has not been resolved! Spoke to the manager (who was very nice) and she assured me they would get my washer fixed, sadly, I’m still without a washer. I’m at whits end & have resorted in having to purchase a new washer. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Terrible service. They came out to fix my dryer didnt put it bck together its coming apart and making a lot of noise. They are terrible about working with you on a time to come out as well that works for you.
