Love this fruit stand! We got the best pumpkins this year and always stop by around fall time for the largest candy apples. Great, fresh produce, and wonderfully lovely staff. Best of all, so fairly priced!

First visit was fun. Great deals on fresh veggies (fresh brussel sprouts were $1 less than what I bought them for 1 mile up the road.) Never knew all the bulk sea food was available. Yum!

Heard this was where you can get Red Royals Shrimp. They werent wrong. First time there. Everyone was super nice. Will be back and next for more then seafood.

For years Ive driven past this place and never gone in. Its a small, unassuming business off a busy road and yet the inside is a cooks paradise! Amazing quality fruits, berries, melons, and vegetables pack the entry, and your immediate reward on entry is a blast of amazing ripe fruit smells (I could smell them through my mask even!). Above the fruits are jams, preserves, and every form of Cajun seasoning you can imagine. As if this wasnt enough, theres a stellar selection of shellfish, whitefish, and sausages near the register (which is a thoroughly modern square terminal).This place rocks, 10/10 Ill be back

They have a large variety of all fruit and vegetables, fresh seafood from the golf. Right now they have beautiful mums and all fall pumpkins. Workers are always so sweet and very helpful.

4th generation produce business. Clean, and well stoked with types of I have never even seen before.The not only have produce, but meat. They are open every month but January. In the Spring they carry plants, and flowers.

Ill tell you what. I had the hankering for a BLT. The only missing ingredient was tomatoes.I had bacon on the smoker and realized my tomato supply was in a precarious state at 7:55 PM.I rolled into the parking lot of The Fruit Stand at 8:04 PM. A very nice gentleman told me they were closed from the evening.I shared my dilemma about my BLT situation. He understood completely. He went back in, opened up and let me buy the most rediculously delicious Amish Tomatoes to make a BLT properly.Folks, you will not get this level of quality, not to mention service, at your neighborhood grocery store.When you are trying to breathe through your face diaper and they dont give one iota about it.If you are in the business of having a top notch BLT this is where the quintessential ingredients come from...I noticed several different types of meat and seafood in their freezer. I cannot wait to go back when they have more time so I can scoop up the good deal on crawfish!Party will be at my house!Got get you some at The Fruit Stand on Manchester.

They have their gross toddlers spitting all over the food, during covid last year. Do you think they really care about their product that much? Better prices on some things but its not organic, just a small grocery store that isnt Walmart. Please improve your hygiene and I may consider changing the review

Great place. Picked up hand dipped chocolate covered strawberries and they were fantastic. I didnt know the carry seafood and meat. The produce is beautiful and cheap. The employees are outstanding. Definitely recommend.

Ordered 30lbs of crawfish on 2/15/21 that I was to pickup from them on 2/20/21. Everything was going great, the Fruit Stand posted a comment on 2/17/21 that their coolers were loaded in Louisiana. On 2/19/21 at 3pm I was informed they did not get the crawfish. Now for my party if 12 that was suppose to be a seafood boil is now pizza! 😤

Last Crawdad, Crayfish, or mud bug cook is June 12th, to pre order, you have till June 9th? Yum yum!!

The produce can be really hit or miss, but even when it is good, it doesnt last long in the house before it goes bad. My household frequently shops at produce stands/farmers markets, and this is the only place weve had trouble with. They will sell you old or moldy fruit at full price, again, a problem Ive only had at this shop.I stopped going in after I witnessed one of the workers being horribly rude to a women and her small child. I definitely wont be back after seeing the owners comments here and across other social media. Have some decorum.Update: Thanks for replying to this review and calling it fake. Really proved the point I was trying to make. Perhaps your effort would be better spent taking the criticism rather than replying to reviews from 10 months ago.Let me be very clear - I lived in this area for two years. When I first moved there, I was thrilled to have a produce stand on my way home from work. At my old apartment, I loved stopping in stands for fresh fruits and veggies, but they were out of the way. After six or more stops in at varying times, I found the quality lacking, prices too high, and staff unfriendly. Maybe theyve improved by now, Im not sure. I have not returned. Id rather have produce from Aldi or Pan Asia. Disappointing.

Best place to buy your seafood and crawfish

I love going to The Fruit Stand. They usually have amazing deals on local fruits and veggies. Not to mention they have some random goodies from other locals.

I just stopped in for my first time because of all the gorgeous pumpkins outside. But inside.... “1 dollar bags” of rotting fruit and veggies. Surrounded by little fruit flies. Most of the produce looked wilted and/or wrinkly and dehydrated. I was really excited to explore local produce, but was let down. I didn’t end up buying anything and quickly left. Also, I don’t know why there are so many accusations of “fake reviews”... I’m not sure why someone would take time out of their day to write a fake review about a produce shop. I’d take the reviews as constructive criticism and improve if it were my own business.

I came to purchase two hanging baskets, two or three hydrangeas and two cases of wood. The checkout person was not masked. I left the establishment. Also the floor was extremely dirty. I would avoid this place.

Great place got a whole bunch of goodies. Couldnt wait to get home and try the cucumber salad and cauliflower salad. Both were excellent. Cant wait to try the veggies and fruits!!

There seems to be, necessarily/naturally, a seasonal ebb & flow to the produce availability, but during summers, they have great black diamond watermelon, and very good beefsteak/heirloom-type tomatoes (incl. Amish yellow ones).

Love this place! They carry seeded black diamond watermelons as good as we had when we were kids! ( Im in my 40s) Cant find ones like these anywhere else and weve looked as far as Lesterville MO. Prices are competitive and they have a value section of items that need to be consumed immediately...all for $1!

The store smells of spoiled produce and Ive seen fruit flies on occasion. Lol my review is not Fake. I live about a mile away from the store off of sulfur springs. A few times Ive met or spoken to the owner he is just extremely unpleasant. I havent had any bad experiences with the rest of the staff other than when I purchased some blackberries. When the cashier rang me out they dumped my blackberries into the grocery bag out of the container. I had no idea this was some sort of policy and therefore I had no idea to take extra care of this bag. When I arrived home I was surprised to see all the blackberries dumped into the bag and smashed by the other produce. I called the number for the store provided by Google. I explained the situation in an extremely nice manner. I was met with nothing but hostility and being told they would not refund my money or exchange the smashed blackberries.

If you havent been....dont know what youre missing.

Most of the produce spoils within a couple of days. We have shopped here multiple times and have had the same experience. Do not recommend.

My mom and I bought avocados that looked fine but we’re not when opening them. We called owner he was nice and said bring them in next time you come by. I live 35mins away. When my elderly mom brought them back he had a higher price and wanted to charge her the price difference. The guy is a big jerk and treated my mom really bad. I’d give him -5 stars if I could. And his fb page doesn’t let you speak about how bad he is. He turns you off so you can’t respond. Never will I buy from him again. Again, he’s a BIG JERK!!

The price of their things, the freshness, and variety of things they carry. They make monthly trips to the golf for fresh sea food and they have the tamale man there twice a month. Everything is wonderful and so is the staff

$18 for 2 tomatoes and a water melon. The water melon was definately frozen before. Couldnt eat it.

Not as cheap as expected. Advertises cheap fruits and veggies and got there and prices were higher than grocery store. Understand that its local so didnt mind, but not what we expected.
