Awful!! I had the Thai ice tea Boba. They put a quarter inch amount of Boba in a tall plastic glass.. Then they put in.powered tea, and water. then they added a white powder with sugar. . Next they sealed and put it on a machine that was extremely similar to ones that shakes paint cans. It tasted very bland and watery. It was upsetting really. No condensed milk. Barely any tapioca balls. Horrible.ADDING TO MY REVIEW TODAY 11 5 2021. HERE IS WHAT THE OWNER ANSWERED ME:Hello Patricia, sorry you didnt like your Thai Iced Tea. Our shop is 30% less sweet than other shops and our Thai Tea is about half as sweet as our restaurant next door. Thai tea actually does not contain condensed milk, at our restaurant we use half and half and its about as sweet as syrup. At our tea shop we use a non-dairy creamer, it does not contain sugar. We could have easily fixed this for you by adding more sugar if you would have simply let us know. There are super sweet shops that give you tons of boba and extremely sweet drinks. Our shop is more for the tea aficionados that prefer their drinks less sweet. But we can easily make drinks more sweet. But help us and other businesses out next time by letting us know you had a problem before you write a 1 star review, it could have been easily fixed.HERE IS MY ANSWER:1) I told the young woman at the counter that I did not like it and why. Then I said exactly this, Can you fix this for me? SHE SAID NO! because there was a formula for the machine and it was IMPOSSIBLE!!!! So, I left it almost untouched on the counter and I left. She did not care at all.2) It is an insult to label me as someone who is not a Tea Aficionado because I did not like your machine formulated and made tea. Your comment epitomizes your problem. Its not me, its the customer! Saying that your tea would please a tea aficionado is like saying that a steak aficionado would be just as content with a meal from Steak n Shake, as they would be from Ruths Chris Steak House. Please!!3. You do not read carefully. I did not say it was not sweet enough, did I? I said it was bland. Actually it was very sweet, but thin and watery. What I should have mentioned is that it did not not have the richness of flavor that is usual in Thai iced tea.4. You wrote this oxymoron: we use half and half... and At our tea shop we use a non-dairy creamer Huh? Half and half IS a dairy product (which is not sweet btw). Duh!! . And you are delusional, if you believe your fast food Boba and other foods a Tea Shop.5. The recipe that you claim is authentic. Delusional again if not just lying. Look up any AUTHENTIC Southeast Asia recipe that is used in the US!! I did and they say ,.Similar to hot Thai tea, real Thai iced tea is a mix of black tea, spices, sugar, SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK AND EVAPORATED MILK .You, the owner, are very confused. Why not post that your teas are healthier than the average tea. Maybe people who are extra careful about their health would choose your place over others? Who knows? We bought metal boba straws. The employee made sure my daughter did not get the caffeine version of the boba. I got the winter something boba and it was good.

Couldnt be worse than this. I felt like I am drinking ice and water. My friend had the same feeling.

Really unique boba here, its sweet, not just chewy. They dont do blended drinks, but the coffee is legit iced with boba. Nott too sweet to disrupt the flavor of the boba.

Best boba place Ive found so far. Reasonably priced and the passion tea is very good. The full sugar option is not overly sweet which I like! They make their own boba and it is a night and day difference from places that dont! But order no ice or youll end up with a whole cup of it and almost no drink...

The place seems clean and the owner was friendly. We got taro with boba and peach with lychee jelly. The taro was powdery and boba was only half cooked. But the peach with jelly was pretty perfect.

I give it 2 stars because me and my daughter had to wait outside after we ordered her drink and it was cold outside the only customers were me and my daughter she got the mango green tea boba it was ok mostly tasted like black tea only nothing like mango probably never going to go back there again other than that the place looked cleanThis is me replying to owner we ordered the boba green tea mango yesterday Thursday evening around 6 pm and we do not need a refund and there should be signs in your tea place letting customers know after ordering during the pandemic to wait outside for your order to be more professional and not make customers feel weird to be told go wait outside kinda sounds rude we did go in with our mask on and left it on the whole time even while we waited outside and you should go test out the flavors of your teas see if the flavors taste as they’re supposed to you should always put yourself in the customers place how you would want to be treated as a customer and how you would want to teas to taste like and I only left 2 stars to be honest how I felt as a customer and I also say put signs to wait outside you were our second choice of place to get boba tea the first choice there was no parking at the tea place and we also saw a couple of customers waiting in the tea place about a group of 5 people customers waiting inside for they’re boba tea

I was in and out in 5 minutes! I got a large sized salted caramel milk tea with boba for $3. I dont think I can find this elsewhere in LA.

Since moving to LA from NY I have struggled to find a good bubble tea shop. I seriously looked everywhere for a year and had no idea refresh was less than a mile from my apt. This is by far the best in town and easily compares to my favorite shop in NY. I got the thai milk with boba and it was HEAVEN. Definitely my new go to!

My friends take coconut and mango green tea. They are very satiated. I pick regular milk tea with boba. The boba is really fresh and soft. Highly recommended.

Good cold brew coffee. Get it a double with no water little ice. Dont forget the cream and no sugar. If you smoke ... It will pit in work. Just dont drink it too fast ... Enjoy it. Dont forget to tip ... Dont be cheap.

Yes. The boba is delicious - soft and warm with just enough gumminess. One of the better shops for the boba. Tea is not like Ding Tea sweet, so good for those who dont want that level of sweetness. Nonetheless, also delicious to the point where 1/3rd of my milk tea was gone between me going from the counter where the straws were and the table behind me. Its not strong on the tea flavor like Tea Station, where it tastes like Tea with sugar and flavor. Instead, its balanced between the tea and milk with just enough ice to make it a hit. An instant favorite for my friend who will definitely visit soon (because shes local and because she has not yet found a good boba shop until today)!

I like boba and this is my favorite spot on the westside. The boba is typically very fresh and easy to chew. And theyre milk teas are spot on. They also have little fruit flavored poppers that I also like in my green teas. I highly recommend this place.

Really lovely spot. Food was great, as was the sangria. Patio seating lends a nice atmosphere. Hoping to go back when they have live music, which is on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.

Quaint, no frills shop with great quality drinks. We had the coconut milk tea (iced) & lemon ginger (hot) with boba, and they were both great. My sis got the lemon ginger drink hot, which Id never tried but it was really great. My coconut milk tea tasted really fresh, not artificial or with a weird aftertaste like some places coconut flavors can be. Still craving more!

Best. Bubble. Tea. In. LA. We used to bounce from place to place trying bubble tea until we found Refresh! Just so you know, this is the *freshest* tea you will taste! You can tell its not powder and/or loaded with sugar. Though the passion fruit black tea is very good, my go-to is black milk tea with boba. There are other additional toppings you can add to your drink and you can also adjust the amount of ice (i.e. regular, less, etc.). If youre in the mood for baked good, try their amazing chocolate chip cookies! In addition to offering phenomenal products, Refresh is a small business and the owners are awesome. When you factor in all of the above, not sure what else you could ask for!

Their menu was very limited. I asked for 2-3 things and they dont have it; like coconut milk. I settled for something that I really didnt want.

Service is great, staff is kind. Just wasnt a fan of the Boba. No flavor and very tough. Thai milk tea was ok. The blended coconut was the best one we got.

I find this place so peaceful. The staff will talk to you. The bathroom is super clean.I got the chunky chocolate chip cookie and the wintermelon milk tea with pudding. Delicious! Go here to relax and have a yummy snack.

The boba is super good. Recommend mango green tea and black milk tea. The reason I gave 4 stars is because boba portion is too small. I wish they can increase the portion.

Very rude Im not coming back, I wonder he wants customer or he wants to scare customer? You dont treat customer bad, you treat them well if you want them to come back, at least thats what I would do if I have a business.Edit: I also read in this rating another customer that have the same issue, so yes, definitely not coming back.

Entrance is hard to find relative to where Google maps dropped off. Its in the building next door to the Thai restaurant (which has a giant sign). They have one size only. Lots of great add ons. Alternative milk available but the option is in tiny font. Got the lychee green tea and a milk tea. The lychee was refreshing and delicious but the milk tea tasted thin. Ask for light ice because half the cup will be ice. Sugar level is light for the milk tea so full sugar will taste like 50-75% from other places.

Friendly staff, fresh boba. Drinks are less sweet than other places, which is great for those of us who actually like to taste the tea. Large, bright and clean inside.

The boba they have here are a little on the sweet side and the perfect chewiness. My go to is black milk tea at 75% sweetness. The bahn mi sandwiches are also super tasty. Always hits the spot when Im craving one. All the employees Ive encountered have been really pleasant as well!

The tea is pretty good! i’ve been here twice and gotten green milk tea with boba. it’s a family run place so in the back they have like kids toys and sometimes napping children on their couches. not too much seating but they have a small lot in the back which is a plus

Best boba secret of LA. Ive been to boba cafes all over and this is still hands down my favorite. Super friendly service and nice, comfy spot. The coffee milk tea with boba is on point!

I love the staff at the shop which is really important for me since its the closest one from my school. The boba is a really good amount of sweetness and chewiness and theres quite a lot compared to other shops Ive been to for the regular amount (which is it you dont order the extra boba). The drinks themselves are also very good as well as the prices (unless you order add-ons, everythings mostly no more than $4.50). There arent too many people (unless the occasional times where theres a long line) but they have really fast service and they almost always get my order right (but they always make it again if you ask). This is one of my top two favourite places :)

I asked the guy there if he can make me a mocha shake boba and he said he’s not trained to make that one yet, they barely have a few things on their menu (nothing with natural fruit) and the flavor of my coconut shake is bleh and their boba has sugar added, I mean, this place is not worth it.

The boba is REALLY good, they dont make the tea that sweet (however, they do provide extra sweeteners), but the boba itself is very sweet and soft and chewy. Its definitely the best ive had in a while. Next time you decide to go, though, keep in mind its more of a grab-n-go kind of shop rather than a place to sit down for a while.
