A guy named Dave helped me with shoes. I could tell he was busy since there was a shoe sale so I thought that I might be out of luck getting a size but he was whipping through customers and I hardly had to wait.Great prices. Great staff. Love the selection of products. Great place for my family to get gift cards for the kids when they are invited to birthday parties.

Bought some snow boots at the Big 5 store in salt lake city two days ago and on my first wear a hook snapped. Made the return at this store. The manager made the process very easy and was very helpful. Could have done a refund but I decided to get hiking boots instead and do an exchange (I bought snow boots at a different store right after the hook snapped off the other ones. I needed them right away). Mathew was very attentive and helped me find the right hiking boots for the exchange. Thanks for the help Mathew!

A great store with some really good prices. The selection is really good but maybe just a few more options would be nice. Still absolutely nothing to complain about though. They have some great prices especially for the quality of the items. For example I spent less than I thought there for some basic snow gear, seeing as I was raised in VA and lived in Miami the last year, I thought Id be frozen to the bone however even with the low prices I was able to go up in the snowy mountains all day without getting cold for a second. To top this off the staff was helpful and really made me feel comfortable since I knew nothing about buying snow gear. I trust they didnt try to rip me off and actually knew what they are talking about now. Thanks for the great visit and help!!

I mostly go here for shoes and boots. They always seem to be having a sale. We bought some tubes and the guy was really friendly and helpful.

They were very friendly and helpful with me wanting to make sure that I could find what I was looking for. There was an elderly gentleman who was there that was asking me questions about an item in the ad asking where it was located at. I had assisted the older gentleman in locating the item (it was some eco brand socks on sale for $6 with coupon). When I had finally spotted a store associate (4 of them had came from the back room of the store at the same time) he asked if I needed assistance in finding what I needed. I had explained to him that I was fine but that the older gentleman (who had now finally left not knowing if he had grabbed the correct item or not) needed some assistance. The male associate looked at me and stated Ive been helping him for half an hour. I think hes not all there as hes taking his finger and circling it next to his head as if the older gentleman was cookoo. This had really bothered me. I have a neighbor and sister with memory issues and for an associate to act like that towards a customer is uncalled for...no matter what the customers special abilities are. Maybe its time to retrain the employees to assist all customers the same. I cant imagine how they would be if my sister had gone in looking for some stuff and needed help. I was very appalled by the situation, but more appalled by the store associate. Im just blown away. Very unsatisfied with the customer service

The sales rep helped me find a few different size ten extra wide running shoes to try on. Eventually, I tried a shoe brand I had never heard, and it fit perfectly. I would never have known about these shoes if I hadnt come here and received help from the staff. The staff member promptly cleaned up the area after someone finished trying on shoes. They have a variety of other outdoor and sporting equipment.

Bought a fishing pole that didnt work and they were happy to return it

They have rifles,guns and ammo. Ammo was a bit on the higher side tho, so did t buy any.

Employees very helpful & courteous, i would definately recommend this store. Its a bit smaller than most Big 5 stores but well worth the stop.

Needed a new pair of swim Goggles and spandex last minute before a triathlon. I checked a few other places in town, none of whom had what I was looking for. Luckily, I stopped by Big 5 right before they closed and found exactly what I needed. The staff was super helpful and the prices were great - less than I expected to spend. Will definitely be taking my business to Big 5 in the future.

Its great to have a less expensive option for sporting goods! I love that they offer a $10 Valupac coupon every month. Its easy to get help when we need it, but the staff is never pushy.

I hardly ever write reviews but honestly this was the best experience Ive had. Im a poor college student but I was looking to get a skateboard and the staff was SO cool about it! They helped me get one I was really excited about and helped me keep it in my price range, the guy helping me even got tools and adjust the bearings and everything for me so that I was super comfortable with the board. They were incredibly friendly and Im so happy with my purchase as well! I left the store completely happy and I had to give it a good 10/10

Great value on sporting goods. We love the prices and definitely prefer it to Big Als. The discounts are amazing and you can even add online coupons. If your kids are in sports, this is the place to go for equipment. Also, this is the only store in town we can find Heelys. My son loves his! This is one store we NEED to keep in Logan.

I like this store. The staff is always helpful. They have a bit of everything for sports and outdoors. They have a very good shoe selection. I wish they had more cycling stuff to compete with the big box retailers. If they did Id probably go to big 5 more often.

Always good sale prices and friendly staff. My wife and I have been those jerks that cant seem to clear out before closing twice now (over the course of 2 years), and no one ever rushed us out. The first time we were actually there longer because one of the employees was teaching us a thing or two about fishing rods. We were looking to purchase or first starter rods, and wanted something cheap that at least works. He even helped us change the string in store. Thats not how people treat someone they just want to get rid of.

This place has unbeatable one days sales each day via email if you sign up for it. Many of the prices are 50 percent or more. If you want something this store sells sign up for this email list and wait. Within three months it is almost guaranteed to be reduced that day.

I usually like to come here to buy my running shoes. But today I could not find any one to help me. I walked around trying to find help and then went up to the front saying that I needed assistance in the shoe department. One clerk came and then left immediately. I wanted to try on a different pair of shoes. My husband walked around trying to find a clerk and found 2 clerks playing together literally to wrapped up in flirting with each other than to care about the customers or their jobs

Big 5 is usually where we we end up buying sporting goods when comparing prices to Als, Big 5 always has them beat. We sometimes shop at Sportsmans but typically Big 5 has the best deals. Theyre in a nice location, close to Walmart, with a wide selection and relaxed atmosphere.

The clerks are very friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of sporting goods from camping to baseball and at good prices. Definitely worth a look.

This is by south logan and surprisingly had amazing deals on shoes (hiking mainly). I had no idea this store existed. Definitely stopping by more.

Went there specifically to buy an inversion table today. Grabbed a tag for the table I wanted, but it turned out it was not really in stock. The only other available table was over $100 more. A disappointing experience today. The clerk was apologetic and very nice though.

I had planned to get my first fishing license this weekend so I headed off to good old reliable Walmart, of course, right? Wrong. I sat at the fishing counter for 10 minutes waiting for a worker to reply to my ringing of the “ring this bell for help” Bell. No one ever came. Plan B: I went to Big 5. As soon as I walked in the door I saw this really creepy mannequin sitting there and it shook me to my very core. There were 4 employees in the store and they all got a huge kick out of my horror which I liked because who doesn’t need a good laugh after coming face to face with nightmare fuel. Anyway, the girl at the counter immediately asked me if I needed help; I told her I needed a fishing license so she redirected me to the fishing counter with her really cute boss, the manager, Colter. He had a beard. Colter made a strong effort to relate to me personally. He took my Driver’s license and entered in the information. We just shot the breeze and had a great time. Because this was my first fishing license, it was only $16. Colter then took me to the front counter so that I could pay. The girl at the counter was clearly new but she was very funny. She joked about how she had never checked out a fishing license before and in a few seconds another girl came over and showed her how to do it. The checkout process didn’t take longer than three minutes. The entire process including all conversations and jokes took around 15 minutes. This is a very quick and easy process considering everything I had been told about getting a fishing license prior to my own experience. I was thoroughly impressed with the services rendered and I would definitely go back. I would 100% recommend Big 5 as it is much easier and quicker than Walmart. The employees were personal and kind. They have creepy mannequins but don’t let that deter you from following your dreams and paying the government to allow you to fish. Thank you Colter and I love you.

It may not be as upscale as the Als, but after the sports authority disappeared, this place becomes the only sports shop I visit locally for some inexpensive stuffs.
