I ordered wine barrel rings. They were priced very well. The rings were in good condition and packaged well. However, only one of the six met the description on their website. They were all supposed to be between 1.5 to 2” in height. Only one of the six met that criteria. The other five were either 1 3/16” or 1 3/8” in height. Needless to say I was not pleased. I contacted them and I’m awaiting a response.

I was delighted to work with Midwest Barrel Company in the design of my boyfriend’s Valentine’s gift. Design team member Taylor sent me three screen shot renditions of what I envisioned and worked with me to my absolute satisfaction. I couldn’t have been more pleased. Once I settled in on my final option, she emailed me again and told me that the work would be completed that very day and would be mailed out the following morning. It’s refreshing to work with a small company that listens carefully to their customer and executes the plan above and far beyond your expectations. Would love to post a picture of the finished design, but I don’t think I have the option on this site.By the way....the recipient loved his gift as much as I loved working with this company.

I ordered six hoops but wanted four of a certain size, not something the website showed was available. I put a comment in the notes section of my order saying what I wanted and received a phone call within minutes. They shipped the items I requested the same day. I ordered a barrel for my husband. The shipping was very fast and I got it faster than I anticipated-literally a few days after I placed my order! Ive been using Bourbon Barrel smoking chips from Midwest Barrel. My most recent product was pastrami. I soaked the chips overnight and used them in my smoker. The smoke flavor added was pleasant and the product easy to use. My family loved the smokey pastrami.

Recently got my hands on some Bourbon Barrel wood chips. Not only do they work phenomenally for smoking, but as soon as you open the bag you are hit with the sweet aroma of bourbon and your mouth begins to drool.The wood chips worked great and provided a perfect smoke ring on the meat.Do yourself a favor and pick up a bag as I definitely recommend using for any and all meats!

We used the bourbon chips on steaks and they were AMAZING. I can’t figure out how to upload a pic as part of this review, but trust me. You need them!

Great Product - arrived in two days after order via fed ex. Had an ale ready to keg that went into this barrel - filled it today. No leaks even though they recommend to fill it with hot water to check for any leaks. I didt want to wash out the essence of the whiskey so took at chance after looking at it through the bung hole with a high intensity light on the outside looking in for any signs of a stave cracked open. Let me tell you about my day using Midwest Barrel Co. Bourbon Barrel Smoking Chips.I got the smoker going about an hour before lunch and threw some frozen burger patties in the smoker with some of the bbq rub I would be using. They came out amazing. Light smoke flavor with some of the awesome vanilla notes that the bourbon imparts.When I took the burgers out I put in ribs. Did 3-2-1 method ribs and I have to tell you they were the best ribs I have ever had. The smoke flavor from those chips is amazing. While the ribs were going I also did two pork tenderloins that will be used as lunch meat. Again incredible flavor.Go grab some of their smoking chips. And while you are at it look at their offerings of gifts barrel heads and sides which they can lazer engrave however you want.Great company even better people.
