Very easy to work with and quick response time. Kieran knew exactly what we wanted out of our landscape and offered great suggestions without feeling like we were being “sold” anything extra.

Very happy with our experience! We had a wooded/brush area of our yard cleared. Saluda Hill made the once unsightly area look lovely. I can’t wait for all the shrubs to grow! Lynnea did the design and was amazing. She worked with me to get things just right. Our site manager, Robert, took the time to answer all my questions and was responsive even when he wasn’t here. Junior and his crew did an incredible job with everything. Everyone was on time, worked hard, and cleaned up at the end of the day. When I had a concern both Lynnea and Robert came right out and got things adjusted. I never felt like I was a bother. So glad we went with them and would use again!

Bought a house from Essex Homes now Martin Homes. We bought the house over 4 years ago brand new. We have had the landscaper come out multiple times to repair a poorly installed french drain that they installed. They leave your yard a mess every time they say they will come back to fix yard never do , always excuses why they can not finish the jobs and never come back to complete their work DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

My home builder used this company for landscaping and irrigation system installation. Recently, I requested service to have sod install and to check irrigation system for functionality after my yard was damaged by a truck. I was told by a company representative that they were too busy to provide any services because their home builders are keeping them extremely busy. I’m disappointed that service is not provided after you’ve purchased your home.My service request had nothing to do with warranty. I simply wanted the contractor that installed irrigation system and lawn to come out for assessment and services that I was going to pay for. Nevertheless, service after the sell doesn’t exist unless you have a warranty.

An overall excellent experience working with Lynnea, Kevin, and the crew at Saluda Hill. Although a small backyard project, I was updated, as well as educated, throughout the entire process. My backyard oasis looks great!

Beware!! Months of back and forth with this company and the builder on runoff drainage issues. The quality control manager told me that a French drain was needed and that his company would install it free of charge if the builder did not. Well...time went by and nothing was done. Then they said that a French drain wasn’t needed now. They finally came and regraded..this is where it gets good. They tore out sprinkler lines and heads to regrade and left them on top of the sod after laying it. Never reinstalled the sprinklers. I had to do it in order to get the system working so the new sod didn’t dry out. Very unprofessional company and extremely poor quality. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I had Saluda Hill do some landscaping work in my front yard as I was having issues with tree roots. They placed edging all around my trees as well as on the sides of my house. They also placed pine straw around my house. It all looks great! The crew was very professional and friendly. I will not hesitate to use Saluda Hill Landscapes for any work in the future. Saluda Hill gave us a proposal to put new plants in our front bed, and remove old pine straw and replace with mulch. They arrived on time, cleaned beds, planted new plants per diagram, and added new mulch. They replanted 2 shrubs that we were going to move and remulched back beds that were not in proposal. Work was professional, and we recommend them.

We retained Saluda Hill to do the outdoor design and landscaping for our new home, which in addition to the multitude of plants included irrigation and lighting spread out over 3 acres of property. We were extremely happy with both the overall experience and final result- so much so that we decided to use their Ground Maintenance division as well. We have not been disappointed.The thing that has impressed me the most in my dealings with Saluda Hill is the professionalism of everyone on their team. Saluda Hills did great job of designing and implementing a complete refurbishing of our yard. New trees, bushes, grass and flowering plants. Also installed an irrigation system and a outdoor lighting system. Wish we had done it all when we first built our house 25 years ago. The cost was less than I thought it would be. They were recommended to us by a friend and now we recommend them to other friends.

I am a property manager of a storage facility and use Saluda Hills and they do a excellent job cutting our grass, killing our weeds and keeping our property up for our customers. I strongly recommend using Saluda Hills for you lawn maintenance.

Dealt with Lee for a quote and Shiree for scheduling and billing. Both were very professional. Worked with me on the projects and were reasonable and within budget. Installed French drain and moved sprinkler heads. Both times they came out, the guys got right to work and did a great job. They were very friendly! I recommend Saluda Hill!

Reached out to Saluda Hill for service twice. The call service was very polite and seemed eager to help by passing along information. I never recieved a response for availability, or to busy for residential areas. I figured after the second call someone would have notified. If commercial clients are your go too. Please dont reach-out to the residential clientele when times are bad. We dont matter now so way come to us later.

In February of 2018 we purchased a new home in a development in Blythewood. We were disappointed with what the Builder provided as landscaping in the deal, so we started to look for a company to design and propose a more attractive landscape plan (shrubs, trees, bedding materials) for our home. After several disappointing experiences with local nurseries/garden shops (some of which wanted to charge up to $100 just to have someone come to our home and prepare a proposal; some of which said that for a fee they would prepare a plan and sell us the bedding material and plants, but would not install anything: and one of which took our contact information for a follow-up call from their designer who never called), we contacted Saluda Hill Landscaping - the company our Builder used to do the initial landscaping for our new house. We were able to get an appointment with one of their Designers (Lynnea Urban) within a short period of time. She is a very knowledgeable young professional who is well qualified to do this sort of work; she answered our questions in a timely manner; and she was there at every stage of the design - proposal - installation process. The project ultimately involved installing 16 tons of crushed brick in the flower beds around the house, as well as planting three large trees (and two smaller ones), and planting or moving about 25 shrubs. The work was done on schedule, the crew of laborers were careful and courteous, and we have been very pleased with the result.One of the things we might have done to make this process simpler is to set a budget from the outset. The initial Proposal we got from Ms. Urban had a price point that was considerably more than we intended to spend on this project, and we had to ask her to revise her Proposal (to reduce the cost.) One of the things Saluda Hill Landscaping might have done to improve this process is to help us to understand the size of the various proposed plants which were to be used. For example. we were a bit disappointed to see how small a three-gallon shrub actually turns out to be - they delivered what they proposed (e.g., three-gallon or five-gallon shrubs etc.), but we did not realize what that meant in terms of height, or fullness of the particular plant.Overall, we are pleased with our experience with Saluda Hill Landscaping, and we recommend them to anyone who needs to have this kind of work done at their home.

They are the worst kind of landscaping company. They charged us up front, and after they completed they are not doing any service. Our lawn has municipal black spots and overall lawn looks dark and yellow, comparing the green lawns of our neighbors. We asked them, were told we need to water more. It has been raining heavily for last couple of months almost every day, our sprinkler system was on whenever there is no rain. It is an absolutely unacceptable answer to an customer. They cant just put up the cheapest grass and expect miracle growth.

Phil Soltes has by far the best customer service I have experienced in the construction industry.

They are incompetent and have no idea how to properly install a french drain. After it doesn’t ever work properly, they say it’s out of warranty. How does a french drain that never worked properly go out of warranty after fewer than 2 years??

We retained Saludahill Landscapes in April 2017 to re sod our front yard with St. Augustine. They graded the front yard, backfilled with topsoil and took no shortcuts. They more than met my expectations in the quality of their work. I am a picky and hard person to please and I am glad I used them. Thanks to Shawn and the grounds crew for a wonderful job! I will recommend to all my neighbors and friends.

There hardscaping may be good but they do a terrible job on sod installs and pinestraw. They Try to do it as quick as possible, they do not take there time to do a good job. Made a huge mess at my neighbors house an I could not believe Saluda Hill would do a job like that.

Overall, just a poor experience. Sod was delivered on a Sunday evening at around 10p, making a bunch of noise in the neighborhood. Then, installers show up a day before scheduled, luckily I was home. Sod install was not fully completed, leaving a 3 foot wide area by the home - I was told this was standard practice, and understand it was a mistake. It took over a week to get it fixed. Worst of all, 50% of the sod was DOA. Watered it based on recommendations, but it was beyond saving. There are patches in the yard of dead sod/dirt that cant be saved. I feel like I wasted money.

Ive had the most horrible experience ever with this company!Weve contacted them for a quote and were waiting for more than a week for them to return our call. After a couple of follow up calls, we were able to set up an appointment, which was canceled on the appointment day as somebody left the town. Ive tried to set up another appointment with a very mean lady (Sherie?), and after some back and forth I was lucky to schedule it! Guess what - I took some time off from work and nobody showed up! Ive waited for 45 minutes! The company said they had my appointment in their schedule for a different day the week I was actually out of town (!?). Very unprofessional - dont even waste your time! I would never recommend this company to anyone!
