Supply chain issues...If youre wanting to see floor models its hit and miss based on delivery schedules. But the staff do their best to show you what they have and describe the rest based on your questions. They are very willing to help. And if youre ready to purchase they are able to tell you the timeline of some of their models. This is great cause it allows you to plan for your install.

We have purchased two above ground pools from Griffin Pools. One was purchased in 2010 and one was purchased last year during the covid pool pandemic. Our first pool was installed without any issues at all. Our second pool was installed this April. We had two issues beyond the control of Griffin, however, they made sure to help us correct the issues free of charge and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our pool. Every time I call the store I’ve always been dealt with nicely. The employees follow through with what they say they are going to do and take their time answering my questions. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase a pool or spa again from them. I know I can trust them to be honest and provide me with an outstanding experience overall. Thank you to Chris, Will and the install crew, and all the staff at Griffin. My family appreciates you!

On the phone when scheduling an appointment they were dismissive and unpleasant. I decided to give them a try anyway and once they arrived to my house 2 months later check out my yard-they were incredibly rude. When greeting them I had my dog on a leash and was told to put him away. The pool man hadn’t even looked at my backyard without telling me “I don’t think we can do a pool here anyway.” I just asked him to leave after that comment.I would try another place! I am not one to write reviews when I have a bad experience but I think there was a lack of effort from this company.I believe because we are in the process of renovating our new home and live in a up and coming neighborhood he got the impression we didn’t have the money for a pool, so he didn’t want to waste the time. This was disappointing because we did have the money and the want for a pool. I’ll be looking elsewhere and if you ask me you should too.

They were very rude to my husband and I. To my husband on the phone when scheduling the appointment and then to me when they arrived for the appointment.. 2 months later. We have been looking forward to getting this process started so we’re definitely disappointed. Being a young homeowner some companies treat you differently and unfortunately this was one of those.

We contacted Griffin a few months ago for a pool quote. We waited over a month to get on the schedule to get someone to come out to our yard. Before they came, we had already spoken and planned to hire a landscaping company to do a retaining wall and flatten out our yard. On the day of the appointment, the salesperson met me at the gate of our yard, took a few steps into the backyard, saw the slope and immediately said, Nope, this isnt going to work. He hadnt even heard what we planned to do with our slope or anything. I was so taken aback! It was like he saw the slope and didnt care about our business any longer at all. My husband came out and told him more of a description of what we planned to have the landscaping company do to flatten out the yard with a retaining wall and showed him where we had envisioned the pool, etc. The entire meeting, I felt as if we were trying to sell the sales person on us getting a pool instead of the other way around! It was the worst customer service and we felt like we were treated very rudely. He left and stated he was meeting with someone that day to discuss and would let us know if it could be done. That was over a month ago and we havent even heard back at all. Not even a Im sorry, it cant be done.. Just no follow-up?!?!?! What type of company does that to customers? We wouldnt use them now even if we did receive a response, based on how we felt at that initial meeting. I get that the pandemic has really changed the needs of pool companies and they have been busier than ever because of it all, but to not even remotely care about potential customers and write them off because you just dont want to do the job? Thats unacceptable and I felt compelled to share this experience.Since one cannot respond to a response, I felt the need to edit my review based on your response. Its interesting to say that our yard is not conducive to the types of pools you all build, when in fact, we have had 3 other pool companies, who build the SAME pools you all build and not gunite, give us quotes and want to work with the little space we have as you state. Im sorry that is what you were told, but the yard and the space was 100% absolutely NOT the problem. The problem, as it appears to be with a lot of the reviews we have read, is the rudeness of the salesperson and the lack of customer service and caring to do ALL jobs that are possible at this crazy busy time and not just cherry-pick the easiest jobs.Im in customer service and being honest as you put it, is WAY different than being short, rude and not even caring to listen to potential customers ideas and plans before you actually step foot into their yard or then even following up and contacting them back to let them know that it just couldnt be done. When in fact, it could and IS being done! We are so thankful we found a wonderful and caring family-owned business who is more than happy to work with us and our yard to get our pool installed (interestingly enough... the same type you all install...) and backyard oasis done for us and by the end of this summer!

We have been going to Griffin Pools since we built our pool. We have never been disappointed and this last trip to see them was a perfect example as to why we use them for our pool needs. We needed a new salt chlorinator last year. We purchased it from Griffin even though there may have been better pricing on the internet, but what the internet didn’t have was a store front and a name and face to work with. Our purchase was made in April 2020, and beginning in May 2021, it was not working properly. Because this business really cares about its customers and desires to treat customers fairly, even though the chlorinator was out of warranty by a couple of weeks, they went above and beyond to help us and then provided us with a new one. That would NEVER happen on the internet, and because of that, we will be Griffin customers as long as we have a pool. Special kudos to Allie A. and Jennifer W. For not leaving us with a defective piece of equipment. They truly went above and beyond for us. Go to this pool store. Develop a relationship with them and use them for all your needs. You won’t be disappointed.

We are in the process of looking for a pool. Your salesman came out and gave us a quote. I am doing my due diligence and notice a few disappointed customers. What I am concerned with is many of their issues are not responded to by your company. It would help to see what complaints are lodged and how they were handled. In regards to your reply, there is a link that says Read All Reviews. I clicked on it and many reviews dating back 1 year to 4 years come up. If you scroll, you will see 10 - one and two star reviews. Other than the reply regarding Covid and staffing, I see no replies. Yes, you get many 5 stars and that is wonderful. But several one and two stars, with no replies is concerning. SRespectively,JM

Griffin installed our pool back in February and do not recommend using them. There was no guidance or advice on anything from where to put the pool, how much concrete to lay, etc. It was like they were in a hurry to just get it thrown in. They never mentioned tracking the sun or asked how the sun comes in, which we didnt think about, therefore our pool is pretty much shaded all of April -May and Sept on. I also asked for recommendations on how much concrete and where, and no advice was given on that. The pool pump was placed in the very back of the yard, and completely out in the open and very far from the house (over 100ft) therefore its a super long walk to do anything with the pump or change the lights. We were told we can pay $995.00 to have something installed at the pump where we could then control the lights from our phones through an app. It also will now cost much more money to run a gas line to heat the pool, due to being over 100ft from the house. We also were not told that a handrail going down the steps was not included and once everything was complete, was told it was a little late for that now. The communication throughout the process was terrible and chaotic. The sad thing is, you pay a ridiculous amount of money to get a pool, and then theres no going back to fix these issues. I do not recommend using Griffin.

We purchased a Bullfrog spa from Griffin in 2014. The purchase experience and delivery and set-up were all great. We began having issues with the spas performance well within our warranty time, and they sent their repairman out to look at it and they ended up replacing a part, with the trip charge, labor and mileage all being charged to us. This seemed to help for a short while, then we began experiencing yet another issue. They sent the same repairman out, but this time he never knocked on the door to let us know he was here. He left no documentation, and they never called to talk to us about what was done or had any follow-up at all. We called to inquire as to the status and spoke to a very rude woman who abruptly told us there was a part on back-order. Again, we had no way of knowing the guy had even come out if he had not been seen by a neighbor, much less what had or had not been done. After several weeks had passed we called again to inquire as to the status. At this time, we were told our unit may be out of warranty, although it actually wasnt, and it surely wasnt before all of this began. After checking through the records and speaking with the Bullfrog Rep who happened to be there that day, they were instructed to repair the unit under warranty. We have never been able to get documentation on our subsequent service calls or what was done, and it seems they have not kept any records either. Well here it is, well out of warranty now, and the spa was never repaired correctly and when we call to ask for help, we are met with quite the nonchalant attitude you would expect from a large corporation, NOT your locally family-owned business. They are not interested in helping us get our issues resolved in the least. This has been a dizzying experience of phone calls and following-up on our end and forgotten services on their end, instead of an ongoing working relationship. As of right now, my advice to you would be 1) Do not purchase a Bullfrog Spa as they are as equally difficult to work with and their product is obviously sub-standard, and 2) If you would like satisfactory service beyond your initial purchase and installation, look elsewhere. Once the purchase has been made, they have no genuine interest in helping you.

We had Griffin put in our pool years ago. Love it. They replaced liner. Great work. Now, I call to get in schedule for new liner and convert to salt water. My husband had spoken with some one about it previously and got a price. The deck needed some cosmetic work, so I was told to get it done first. They said 2 months out, which was okay bc this call was made in last week in April. I call back 10 days later to say deck is getting repairs now, put us on schedule. Now its 5 months out and $$$lots more than previous quote to my husband. Not very happy with this situation now. And today I hear their ad for pool construction and prices. I am wondering how you can solicit new business and not take care of old customers. Very dissatisfied.

We had a fiberglass pool installed in February and within 30-45 days noticed holes developing in the concrete, also the brick coping around the top edge of the pool wasnt properly cleaned and has permanent mortar staining and we noticed the pool wasnt level. Griffin also breached the contract by not completing provisions that were negotiated and added to the contract before we signed. We have asked that these problems be addressed for 9 months now with Griffin only replacing a hand rail and cleaning mortar stains from the inside edge of the pool. We have been consistently lied to by the head of construction, Rob Bowers, and promised repeatedly that these issue would be corrected. We have run out of patience and have no choice but to pursue legal action to get results.I contacted Rob by text a few days ago hoping for a proper response but when I notified him of our plans for legal actions he responded with total lack of concern.Ive been around heavy construction in my working career and mistakes happen, people do poor work, materials break down, it happens but what should never happen is a customer being lied to and ignored for months after paying over $35,000 for these services.Ill update after the legal process has completed and if anyone needs an attorney who specializes in these cases, Ill provide our attorneys name and number. The response below is not from the owner, I was told months ago when I called to complain about Rob Bowers that the owner wasnt involved with the business anymore. No need to call Monday, that opportunity has expired. Our attorney will be sending you folks something soon.Does everyone see how unserious these people are? They dont bother to even address me by name and respond with a generic statement from a hourly employee. You folks are the worst, if you want a better example of condescending behavior read your own responses. I posted facts in my review and my responses. You have yet to refute any of them. Instead you say youre sorry I FEEL that Griffin hasnt met my expectations. Then you cant attack the message so you attack the messenger with calling me rude and belittling.I will gladly post pictures of your bad work and screen shots of Robs texts and emails from 8 months ago where he promises to fix the problems but has yet to do so. Want me to do that? Heres some advice, When you find yourself in a hole its best to stop digging.Update time. We hired an attorney and he assisted us in sending Griffin a demand letter asking that the unlevel pool, holes in the concrete and the stained coping pavers be addressed and gave them 30 days to complete the work. Griffin sent a response letter stating that the unlevel pool was within the allowable tolerance but they agreed to repair the concrete and clean the pavers. The concrete has been repaired and were pleased with the outcome but the repair guy is now saying that the pavers shouldnt be cleaned because they may not have a uniformed look after cleaning, they arent uniformed now with the stains. This led to a shouting match on the phone with our buddy Rob who had the nerve to say Ive done everything I know to do to make you happy. Lets review what hes done shall we?Hes lied repeatedly, hes disappeared for months at the time, hes head of construction but hasnt set foot on our property in 10 months and our pool was completed 56 weeks ago and theyve just started repairs.Robs not only corrupt and pathologically dishonest, hes also delusional.I didnt trust that there was a tolerance for the levelness of the pool so I research the issue and found an installation guide from Latham Pools whos the manufacturer of our pool. It confirmed what Griffin says about levelness but also provided the requirements for installation of our pool. Its seems that our pool wasnt properly installed. We sent pictures of our pool being installed to Latham and have asked for feedback but they havent responded yet. This is very disturbing information and well provide another update soon.

I recently had a in ground pool liner replaced by Griffin worst experience ever. They called for final payment days before install said they would be out to do the job Monday, Tuesday. This was suppose to be a 2 day job, which they was a no show either days call and said they had equipment malfunction. You tell me as much money this company make and what piece equipment you couldnt get replace to keep your customer job on time. Finally showed up later that week what was a two day job end up going into a whole another week, leaving vacuum running at my house 5 days running my light bill up my whole back yard was a mess from the old liner just laying around every where and once water start filling in pool tape was left on my pool wall and never removed which is very sticky now two places on wall of pool. Trash, pieces of linear left in my pool, never kept up to date of day to day info. I was told pool liner would be hauled off that was included in price, pool floor is very soft after a week liner still on my curb. I went to store to voice my concerns and complaints and wanted a call back from a manager or someone over that division I was told Nick would call me back well its a week later still no call. So you have my money paid in full for this liner and I got a half ass job and no one cant return my call. I will never do business with them again. Wondering what happened no hoops being jumped over here to talk to a complaining customer unhappy with the service. I only would give them a one star because they was efficient with getting my money.

The service department, on the other hand, has let me down on more than one occasion, and they dont seem to care about making it right. Rather, they (specifically, Nancy, who claims to be the manager) are more interested in making excuses for poor service. I would recommend buying chemicals from the store, but plan on getting any service required (repairs, installation, etc) done from another company.

I left a message begging them to call me. This morning I called the store and asked for the manager or owner. The guy answering the phone said he wasnt available but to explain what I needed and hed have Rob return my call. I told him the whole story. Rob never called back. The hot tub I was speaking of is no longer available. I spent $700 at Lowes over the weekend to build a small patio to put the hot tub on. The patio items were delivered so now Im stuck with the materials for a 9X9 patio and no hot tub and not even a call back. These folks are wonderful to have your pool water tested and purchase your chemicals and supplies. They are knowledgeable and courteous. They have a good inventory to help you deal with most any crisis immediately - even if they dont have it in stock, they can usually get what you need timely. Their location is super convenient. We cannot thank them enough for recommending we install a dead man to siphon the ground water when we had them out to measure to replace a pool liner at a new home. They offer a nice variety of inground pool liners and have a separate area to give you focused attention while you make this significant purchase. The only challenge I have is relying on Griffin to install liners. They actually sub out the pool liner/install. The challenge is made clear when you have a problem of the subcontractor causing the problem and Griffin is asked to remedy their subs mistakes. In our case, we had ordered/installed 6 pool liners from Griffin over nearly 2 decades we have been customers. 4 installs were because the liners leaked (from improper installation). Various issues occurred: bad gaskets werent replaced or indicated needing replacement with the new liner -- and they leaked. The subcontractor cut too much liner away from the bottom drain and/or skimmer opening and it leaked. The underwater light wasnt airtight, leaking -- as were the seals around the stairs. Improperly measured liner that cannot lay fully against the bottom curves of the pool at walls/floor because the measurement wasnt accurately captured. Bottom line: Improperly installed pool liners created a giant hassle for us - requiring draining pool of 32K water, the chemicals, replenishing both, just to learn the liner leaks. (Then there are the increased water rates that get affixed by the municipal water provider for having a high water use those months that follow a new install as well - so the punishment is ongoing. If that wasnt painful enough, each failed install led us to argue with Griffin to get them to get them to acknowledge water loss in excess of 2/day is not evaporation-- so they would address the obvious failed liners/installations -- taking weeks, leading into months. In the end, we get to eat the cost of drained/refilled/repeat water usage, the loss of chemicals and the hassle to boot. Just cant afford Griffins subcontractors consistent mistakes and am worn down by Griffins deflective responses to liner issues. I realize these same group of subcontractors align themselves with other pool suppliers in the area - so my challenge is with Griffins dismal response to mitigate issues that result from the subcontractors they align their customers with.
