So....back in April Imy wife began to look for a new recliner for herself. Looked at various models. Finally wound up at the Lexington, SC, La-Z-Boy Store. To make a long story short, found one; selected fabric; model she chose didnt come in that fabric; was shown a different model that could be covered in the fabric chosen. Wait for 5 months (while they have her $$). Chair is delivered. Not the chair she chose. Small. Tiny. Built for a 10 y/o. Workmanship was shoddy. Materials used were cheap. Made in MEXICO. She called manager of said store. No help. Their corporate office called her to set up a visit with their rep. He came out, took pictures and agreed chair was too small. Corp. called to say they couldnt do anything else....the store Mgr. would have to handle it.This morning, a month after it was delivered, I loaded the chair up and delivered it to the front door of said La-Z-Boy store. I talked with the mgr., Dave Head, explained the situation. Mgr. said he was familiar with the issue but wasnt willing to assist in any manner. Chair was left there. Shortly thereafter, Mgr. called to say he had called the POLICE!!! They took photos of the chair (no fingerprints). He told us the chair would be there for us to come and get or they would put it in the trash.Folks, we are pretty easy going people. But when you take our money and dont deliver what we thought we were getting, we are not happy campers.All this is to let you know the quality of people at La-Z-Boy and to recommend you NEVER, EVER SET FOOT IN THE PLACE. OH, AND PLEASE TELL YOUR LOVED ONES, YOUR NEIGHBORS, SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS! DONT EVER PATRONIZE THEM.Please share!!!!!!😑😑😑😑😑

We spent all day looking for a new recliner, but had we visited La-Z-Boy first it would have been our starting and ending point. Like many I had the misconception that La-Z-Boy was too expensive. I didnt find that to be the case at all. They were in the same ballpark with other stores we visited, but the quality and attention to detail are worth the little extra to me. Also, they had the best selection of any store we visited.Our sales rep, Bree, struck a wonderful balance between giving us important information to consider, asking and listening to what we were looking for, pointing out good options to match what we told her, but then leaving us alone to talk and make decisions. One of the best furniture shopping experiences Ive ever experienced. Well definitely be going back for future furniture needs/wants.

Our Lexington SC La-Z-Boy sales consultant, Courtney, was exceptional. She is very knowledgeable about the furniture. She was even able to inform us of the expected delivery dates of each demonstration recliner. Later, I followed up with an email to Courtney. She answered my question promptly and with in-depth information of the product. Even more importantly, she is kind, courteous, and patient with lots of smiles. We noticed on her desk an award for past superior customer service, and she certainly deserves this recognition.Our delivery was skillfully handled by Jac and Denzel. They were a delight making our new recliner delivery another exceptional La-Z-Boy experience.

Very nice and clean store. Staff is very helpful with any and all furniture questions and or concerns. We werent inside but maybe 15 minutes or so and the very nice salesman Brad Horton had me in the absolute perfect recliner that fits my height (64) and size overall. Super comfortable!! I was sold at that moment! They will be delivering my new Recliner next week!! I cant wait! Thanks again Brad Horton!!

The service we received from La-Z-Boy was excellent. Brandon greeted us on our first visit to the showroom snd then spent 2 1/2 hours with us patiently listening to our likes and dislikes and showing us different options that fit what we were shopping for. He and Evelyn then came to our home to get more details of our space. They prepared a 3-D presentation for us to see on a return visit to the store. We are now anxiously awaiting the delivery of our new sofa, recliners, rug and coffee table. Thanks La-Z-Boy for making this process so quick and easy!

My husband and I put a deposit down on a couch and love seat in January. At the time we were told it would be 4-6 months. It is now July and we have been without couches for 3 months. We understand there is a pandemic but we did not receive a single phone call update unless we reached out first. Susan our sales rep, even verified herself that the last time she tried to reach out to us was in February. This has been by far the worst customer experience we have ever had. We reached out to the store manager, Dave and he said that the best they could do was take 100 dollars off the delivery fee or we could cancel and lose our deposit. We felt completely neglected by the store after making such a large purchase. They first told us they would be here in May, then June and now they are saying it will be the end of July. Every other furniture store we have worked with has updated us at minimum once a month. They have said it was because the couches are custom but we only picked out a different fabric. They also said they told us it would be July in February which is completely untrue. Our first notice of the couches not being ready until July was when we were went to the store in June. We would probably never have been contacted unless we had reached out first. This has been beyond disappointing and a truly horrible experience. I have absolutely no idea how they have 4.7 stars. This is the only time I have felt to compelled to leave a review on any business.

Such a good experience we had. not like the other furniture stores where they attack you at the front door. we spent a pleasant hour or so browsing and then approached Brad when we were ready to move forward. Brad was attentive, receptive, knowledgeable and professional. he helped guide us through the entire process and helped us make the most the most educated choices for our wants and needs with regard to the living room furniture. we are excited to be using there design services and have our next appointments schedule. we so look forward to what the designer comes up with for our space and at no extra charge. Lazy Boy won us over and we will be life long customers from here on out!

We arrived 10 minutes before the store actually opened but were allowed in anyway. We were met by Debra Kelly. She first checked our temp per covid-19 policy for the store. Then she inquired about helping us. I told her we were there to find a recliner. After asking about the type of recliner, material and size. Debra led us to a huge selection of recliners. She explained about all the recliners and I sat in several to check them out. I soon picked out the one I wanted and was advised on how to obtain credit. This was done and Ms. Kelly got us checked out with an estimated date of the recliners arrival. This was truly the easiest shopping I have ever had when picking out a piece of furniture and Debra Kelly was extremely helpful and not pushy about picking one out quickly. We will certainly be return customers. Definitely a 5 star experience.

WARNING! The local store is perfectly fine. My warning is about the product. I would encourage you to not put your money into ANY La-Z-Boy chair without experiencing the EXACT model with or without the motorized functions.A La-Z-Boy chair with motors sits and feels like a completely different manufacturer of the same model without motors. Don’t be fooled by a salesperson who lives on commissions. Contrary to what they might say, there’s far more difference than β€œbarely noticeable”.I just received my $3,000 chair after six months of delays and already have moved it to another room, covered it and gone back to my 20 year old La-Z-Boy.A motorized La-Z-Boy is not a La-Z-Boy at all.UPDATE: 06/25/2021 - Heres the response I received after emailing, phone messages and this review...______________.

Working with my sales person was a good experience. But then you are handed off to delivery and never have a single contact person to talk to if there are issues or to ask questions. Their automated system notifying you of the status of your item isnt always accurate. If there are problems (mine is with furniture they carry - not furniture manufactured by La-Z-Boy ) then it takes even longer to get things resolved. I have furniture that was delivered broken. After 4 months and 2 failed attempts to fix the item, they are now ordering a replacement with no date for delivery. Tickets have gotten closed without communication. So, guess I wait 6 to 7 months to hopefully receive furniture that isnt broken - remember - I paid for this furniture and there is no sense of urgency. Plus, I was reminded when I reach out to my sales person, that she was sales not service.UPDATE based on La-Z-Boy comments:It should not take 4 + months to fix a piece of broken furniture that you delivered broken. Tickets should not be closed without communicating with the customer (in this situation me) and it has happened twice. I have had to call to get the tickets re-opened so the problem could be resolved (but not yet) Your email updates should match what is on the Portal and it doesnt always do so. The pandemic has been out there now for 10 months so perhaps you should look at adjusting your business model to take the pandemic into consideration in lieu of providing bad customer service. Repair parts have been lost and I was told well it is a big warehouse. Do not respond with a canned response again. If you wish to comment, then look up my ticket so you can provide specifics based on my particular situation. If you want to discuss, I will be happy to call you if you provide a direct number (not Customer service line).

We, my spouse and I, decided one afternoon of just riding through the countryside, just to drop in on LaZ-boy Furniture. After being being let down by two (2) competitors, within two years. We knew what we had purchased, had to be replaced, a piece at a time.We were greeting by a young man, temperature checked, and proceeded to look at chairs. I basically knew what I wanted. We have long shopped at LaZ-boy. We have long been customers there, and we know the Quaility of the products. We had a wall hugger, tan colored, that had turned 47 years old, gave it to our grandson. And a second Brown wall-hugger, about 15 years old, which we still have, but it’s time to up grade.Our salesman, Tim, was very knowledgeable of his products, and allowed us to look. We got quotes, went home to discuss, returned to see him in about two days, and made a purchase.When we return, to make our other purchases, we sincerely hope he is still with the company. He did about superior service!

Talk is better than service and quality. Purchased a sofa, love seat, swivel rocker, audubon , 2 end tables, dining room table and 6 chairs and a kitchen table with 6 chairs. Spent a lot of money. From the day of delivery things went terribly wrong. Dining table was damaged but they knew that before they delivered it. They knew it would need to be replaced. But they had to replace it 2 times due to damage. Had bad kitchen chairs delivered. Took a couple of trips for them to make them right. Had multiple issues with loveseat and chairs. They made multiple trips to correct then but still had issues. Finally they just stopped taking my calls. I spoke with the service manager one time and informed him of issues with the loveseat cushions not being comfortable due to the shifting padding and filler and he told me they do not guarantee comfort!!!! I reminded him of their slogan live comfortably . Well any way, we are stuck with some furniture we are not happy with and they do not care.

Bought the $4,000 Collins sectional and it looked nothing like the showroom! All the seams zigzagged the fabric stretches and buckles and looks like I have had it 10 years not 10 months. Bought the fabric lifetime insurance and it covers nothing! They said I should β€œfluff” the cushions and that it was normal. It looks sloppy and cheap and La-z-boy will not stand behind their product. I notified them immediately And I the run around for the last 10 months. Buyer beware!

We’re excited to get our furniture and feel pleased with the quality and choices for customization. Unfortunately, after a long day of furniture shopping we were running out of steam. Our salesperson said it would be 5 more minutes before we were out of there so we went ahead and ordered a pizza which she was aware of. 50 minutes later, our order was finished and she was ready to charge us. While I don’t fault our salesperson for underestimating how long it would take her to create our order, I do feel like we were bamboozled at the end. Knowing we were tired, hungry, and ready to go- she walked up saying β€œokay so your total including the protection plan...” hold on. What protection plan? Up until this point, it had never been mentioned. She offered us no literature on it but made promises about what it would cover. We were super hesitant, and she even called in another salesperson to answer some of our questions. Eventually we agreed to the protection plans, knowing our pizza was getting cold and wanting to get out of there. When we got home, we reviewed the literature on the protection plan which we received after paying for it. Many of the things we were told it covered are actually covered under La-Z-Boy’s normal warranty. We looked up the protection plan company online and found they had numerous complaints with BBB and consumers reporting they were difficult to deal with and didn’t cover what the plan stated. We called our salesperson back the next day to cancel the protection plan and were told her manager said it wasn’t possible. We left a message with the manager and are still waiting for a call back several days later.

Be careful buy a couch for La-Z-Boy we bought a couch from them and one the area you sit the leather is breaking down and I’d going to start to come off. We reported it because the lifetime warranty was supposed to cover it is what we were told when we bought it. Well they are now saying they will not do anything for us. So if you buy one don’t expect them to honor their warranty.

We called ahead and had Karen waiting for us at door. You walk in to a hand sanitizing pump for your hands while your temperature is checked. The pictures I posted are the 2 items we bought. The sofa will have the same color and material as the recliner. It is nice to be able to customize the floor models to your liking! Karen was great!

I appreciate the salesperson and the large selection. My parents and friends had made recommendations for La-Z-Boy for several years. Susan Staves was patient and listened to my needs. She showed me several options. I appreciate her good taste and artistic options. She was not pushy and was understanding when I left to compare options at home. She only contacted me with information that I requested and did not flood me with phone calls and emails like other companies do. I purchased a reclining couch about two weeks after my visit and it works great. I am hoping to get the matching loveseat in a couple of months.

This afternoon my husband and I visited the Lexington, SC La-Z-Boy Furniture after we saw a couple of chairs online. We were happy to see they are taking precautions for covid19 when the sales associate Tim took our temperature before we could enter. Tim took us straight to the chair we wanted to try out. I had a photo of a sofa from another store and asked if he could recommend something comparable and he found it. Tim was so helpful and attentive to the things we were looking for. We were able to find all that we set out to find in one store, which was a relief for us. If you stop by the Lexington location you will get great service from all the people working. Now for the hardest part, the wait to get our custom furniture. That review will be next.

I have been working with Deb at the Lexington, SC store for 6-7 years now. She is a friendly , knowledgeable employee who is a good listener. Once I tell Deb what I think I want, she makes suggestions and shows me items she thinks I might like to β€œcomplete the look” I want. The home visit by the interior decorator and Deb helps me to make the decision as to what I want to purchase.I have worked with Deb at Lazyboy for three different rooms now. I am always pleased with the quality of Lazyboy products and furniture.

My entire experience was positive. I visited many times to get my sofa, chair, and carpet exactly what I wanted. Deb, my salesperson, granted my every wish to look at fabrics, colors, and styles. All other salespersons were helpful and when the decorator, Samar, put my room together on the screen, i knew exactly what my room would look like! It was a perfect purchase.

There was not enough sales representatives, I waited about 2 hours and then someone came to me and said that there’s a lot of customers but not enough sales people to see me that if I want to purchase the items I wanted that they’ll hold it for me and I can purchase them the next day. I said that I couldn’t make it the next day so I’ll be there Sunday to pick them up. When I arrived Sunday to pick up my items Courtney the sales representative said that she has to call and find out what my credit line is and to be honest I don’t know what my credit line has to do with anything, so I said ok call. She called then came back with the paperwork for me to sign, I sign all the papers that needed to be signed and after I took my items to the car she said that she needed to get my tag numbers and I said okay so she went outside and put her paperwork on my car and wrote the numbers to my tags on the paper she then asked for my license to see if I’m who I’m saying I was. First of all she ran my credit card and didn’t ask for an ID now that everything is in my car and all the paper work was signed she ask for an identification card. Like really she made me feel like a damn criminal. I’m never shopping there again.

We went in looking for one recliner and came out with two. They had some excellent sales going on! Our sales associate was Timothy and he was great to work with. He was patient with us as we had our 3 boys with us. We visited the store amidst the Covid 19 craziness and the store was very accommodating. We would definitely visit again.

Terrible customer service after the sale . After spending over 7k on a new sofa and matching chairs we were sold battery packs for an additional $374. After charging them all day, they didnt last one night! Stopped into the store to return them at which point they handed me a card and said sorry, you have to call customer service you cant return them. It seems that this should be disclosed at the time of the sale, but apparently they dont care enough after the purchase. Great business model La-Z-Boy

The sales representative was very helpful and patient. It took a while for me to decide on the right chairs and she was right with me through the whole process. I believe her name was Crystal. The quality of chairs is undeniable. I do have to wait 6-8 weeks for my chairs to be delivered because I ordered specific color and fabric. I’m just hoping that the rest of this transaction goes through without any problems. I will recommend Lazy-Boy if my chairs arrive in great condition and I’m pleased.
