The store itself was fine, and the employees were great, but the prices were crazy. Ive only been to maybe a dozen different Goodwill stores in my life, but none of those other stores had prices anywhere near the prices here. Half the stuff I looked at was priced at about what you would expect, and the other half just seemed like it was randomly priced at 5 times the normal price you would expect. If youre looking to save some money, you might not be able to do it here, depending on what youre looking for.

Prices are insanely high here. Before you reply that your a non-profit....mission statement....blah blah blah, your prices are higher than new for many items. The store is over cluttered. Drop the prices by at least half, turn over the inventory and enjoy higher revenue through volume of sales. Especially since your cost of goods is zero.

Inventory is plentiful, but their prices have increased significantly....between 20% to 400%. For those people truly needing a break in price, they are priced out if the market. Its a shame.

I think Goodwill is a over priced store, everything they have is given to them. The prices are higher than Walmart or other major stores. You are saling someone elses junk that they dont want. Items shouldnt be over $2.00.

To the lady whom states low income place , umm. Speak for your self . I know several people in Lexington that are Very well off myself included and still shop at Goodwill . Better make sure you have your facts right . Also I am a very friendly person , sometimes I see everyone myself included trying to say hello to employees and the weirdest thing they never want to really speak . If your that unhappy with your job you shouldnt work with the public . Especially the manager , she is so unfriendly .So is this African American lady and cashier she is another very unfriendly lady .

They need to shut that place down, prices are ridiculously high especially since everything is donated , l will donate to salvation army

Excellent store to visit. They keep everything well organized, its not too crowded and they keep it clean. This location is a good spot to find furniture items as well, whereas other stores dont have the room.

Its like treasure hunting you never know what you will find in there

These place has free labor from people that get punished to community service besides this the other employees are not being paid that great either. This is a low income community also so why is it that they seem to be charging full price for half price junk and it if is nice then you better believe your going to be paying for every nice inch of it. They over price everything n if you say anything they say they cant help you, pay or leave it pretty much, so not my favorite place to go but hopefully they get better soon before they lose another customer(Me)

I accidentally donated a bag of clothes and I called them. They asked for some details, my name and number. They shortly called me back and I went to pick it up. They were nice, friendly and understanding.

Employees act like they don’t wanna help you

We called to ask a quick question to see if they had any dining room furniture. The lady on the phone said, I am very busy. You will have to come in and look. Did not offer to let us speak to another employee or hold. Rude!

Staff could be friendlier plus they charge to much for used items.

Overall good experience, only thing I didnt like was the fact that a cashier took and sold my item to another customer after she said I could leave my shelf at the register, since I was only running back to retrieve another item from the store, came back within 4 minutes or less, she had done sold my item

You never know what you will find. I got my husband a Duke basketball tshirt in excellent condition (not sure it has ever been worn) for $1.59! Great place to find gently used clothing.

I found very nice clothing for very cheap $3.99 for all kinds of tops and they were in excellent condition! Thanks Goodwill, because I cant afford the clothing prices everywhere else! I also appreciate Salvation Army but they have more stains on their clothes.

The customer service was AWFUL...

Would leave 0 stars if I had the option. Had some nice furniture that was left in a friends house by a previous renter.. We took it to Goodwill to donate. The woman (im guessing was a manager) came out and looked at what we had and refused to take it. There was a very nice entertainment center that had a very small scratch on it that she said would cost them too much to repair and sell it and she also said that some of the stuff was too heavy (we had at least 5 people to help carry it inside). Never in my life have I seen someone so picky over free stuff. If someone didnt have anything, they would be happy to find an entertainment center with just a small scratch on it. Honestly, I think she didnt want to take the time to actually move the stuff inside. I have been in the store several times and found something with several scratches or dents that they were selling for probably way more than its worth. Completely unprofessional and horrible service. Will not be donating anything to this location again.

I have been to many Goodwill stores. The ones at the Carolina coast are cleaner, less junked up and the prices are a lot fairer. The fact that a Goodwill store in a high poverty level population is more expensive than goodwill in a much less poverty level population. I just can not fathom the reasoning behind that. The things being sold at Goodwill are used not brand new so why charge 1 or 2 dollars less than a brand new price! Example: A small (extremely small) enamel coated cast iron tiny pot (maybe big enough to boil ONE egg in) was 7 dollars! Not to mention it was starting to RUST!!! 7 DOLLARS!! Lets be for real now. Get a grip on price gouging!!!!

They usually have at least one thing I want to buy whenever I go in which makes me (not my wallet) happy. The staff is fifty fifty, some of them are great and super helpful while others are about as useful as a fractured cinder block. Prices are kind of high but not high enough to be undesirable, overall I would recommend for a quick stop by on a saturday.

A great place to shop for inexpensive items. Has a good variety. Took one star off because the price of a lot of the housewares etc have gone up. Some of the prices are more than you would pay at a Dollar tree or Walmart on sale.

Be careful when staff unloads your car. There is an older woman with short hair that took a brand new lamp in the bag with receipt. It was on a different side of the trunk and separated from the donations. When I called right back, it had disappeared. It is best to unload your own items.

I know items are donated and wouldnt be in the best condition but I would expect these to be cleaned for consumers. On my search to find bedrails I found a head/foot board covered in old chewing gum. Dishe that looked like the food was still on them. Pretty little vases that still had dry potting soil in them. I wouldnt expect them to clean it back to brand new condition but not cleaning anything you received for FREE is unacceptable.

Always a fun place to go. The prices at this one a a little too high. I still love to look around in here.

I get the premise in which Goodwill is based, however, it is a thrift store, selling used and often times VERY worn items.. you cant sell said items for practically new prices! Why would I pay $40 for a pair of used shoes when I can but a new pair for a few bucks more!? If items are going to be special priced, it has to be a special item to get the price asked... youre a THRIFT STORE! 80% of everything in your stores are completely over priced! I can understand all the backlash on social media platforms!!

This is a donated place Ive gave so much I couldnt count it. No more. My granddaughter was with me she is 3 years old she found an old calculator she wanted that did not work I asked him how much it was a dollar. Long story short they wouldnt take less for just for a toy and he threw in the trash

Its crazy prices

It seems like at this particular store, the staff sits and individually prices each item of clothing. I saw a little girls tee with tags from dollar general and they had priced it at $4.99. The original store tag was priced at $5.99. I know most who shop at Good Will cant afford those new prices, hence the reason they go to GW. Also, there is an older lady who is kind of sketchy. She asked if I wanted to round up and I said yes, I paid cash and got the right amount of change back but when I looked at my receipt that round up charge wasnt there and I should have gotten more change back. Looks like someone is pocketing that when you pay cash.

Great stress reliever, looking for something that can be re-purposed or hard to find antiques.

Could have gotten 5 stars but they hired a new manager who is extremely rude an will not have my business. Now WalMart is less expensive than goodwill. Its a real shame. This community depended on this store but I guess they are just in it for the money now instead of actually trying to help.

This place has gone downhill fast. We was there today and left fast cause it stunk so bad in there we couldnt stand being in there.

When in Belmont, NC. Ive visited the Goodwill in Gastonia, another near Charlotte, and have been to one in Thomasville. They all have courteous people but the one in Lexington has the least selection on home, sporting and recreational items and their prices are much higher on said items.

Super nice people, faster turn over of inventory, a fun weekly browsing place. Prices vary, sometimes reasonable, sometimes high, but overall the place is clean and fun.

The new lady yall hired with the blonde hair and glasses keeps messing everything up. Running a register is not that hard. Charged me twice for one item then yelled me to come back she made a mistake and had me pay a second time only to give me incorrect change. Then began asking me personal questions that were none of her business.

I would leave zero, I had to complete community service here the head lady cared more about customers than saving my life as she told an ambulance not to park on the areas where customers have to drop off their goods, the store is unclean, they sell dusty items and dishes that had god knows what in them there are 2 friendly people there, the prejudice is real black people really arent welcomed, they worked me harder than the actual workers there just dont bother with this store.....Go to the one in highpoint, Thomasville, or Winston Salem NC if you can!

Went there today and this lady robyn was very rude to myself and customers very unprofessional her tone is very disrespectful will not be coming here again .
