If you are new to the area and trying to fish on lake Murray this is the bait shop for you. Easton was awesome!! He will set you up with bait, tackle, rods,reels and is extremely knowledgeable about what’s biting where and at what time of year.

Getting prepared for my daughter’s famed maid Fishing party! It’s been a while since I’ve been fishing, but the staff here at Lake World were great. Gage was prompt, asked good questions and provided me with what I needed! All with a good price.

Very informative, answered all my questions. Everyone there knows whats up. Took like 10 minutes to get my fishing license, mostly bc I was looking at other stuff lol. They got everything you need and all the info you need for local fishing. Will be back again and again. Fresh bait great lures. It may not look fancy outside. But filled to the gills on the inside with anything you may need for your fishing needs. I cant wait to go back.

Ignore Tim’s review. He clearly doesn’t value customer service and the mom and pop support Richard provides. Sure you can save money by going to Walmart and Amazon, but they offer no help. Sad you would give such a great bait shop a 1 star review Tim! You should reconsider and rethink your position.

I stopped by but was very surprised that they had no up to date info like you can get online up to the second like up in NC. w those interactive waterproof maps... they have a lot of gear but still you can go online find it way cheaper and have it shipped to your home next day... let alone shipped right to your boat!!!!

The best place anywhere in the greater Columbia area for information and supplies for fishing and hunting in SC. Richard and Donna are the kind of people you just make your self go back to see. If they dont have it... you dont need it for fishing fresh water or hunting in SC. By the way their prices are below most of the big box stores and their knowledge is as good as it gets.

I love Lake world its the only place I go and get my bait and to lie about fishing LOL but if youre smart and you listen you might just find the spot where the big ones are.

Lake world has a knowledgeable very knowledgeable staff and very friendly people they have ample supplies and fishing equipment and snacks and you can get anything you want there for fishing if you need a guide you need information its just one great place probably the best one in South Carolina

Its a great place reminds me of an old town tackle shop they have one of everything. when i was a kid I mowed yards an bought my very first Bait caster there it was not the best one there but I loved that rod an reel i caught a lot of stripers out of the river below the lake. Ive moved away but everytime I come to visit i stop in an buy something then go eat at Rushes, or Lizards thicket.
