This has been our go-to bagel place for years now. The food is all really high quality, and the people who work there are fantastic. Even when the store is absolutely slammed, and they are understaffed, the people who talk with you are polite while still being ridiculously efficient. If you can, I highly recommend using their online ordering system before leaving your house to get bagels. The online menu is well laid out and descriptive, though there are no pictures. Plus, if they are really busy, ordering ahead can save you a lot of time especially since you can then use the exterior pickup window. Again, my family highly recommends this awesome bagel store!

Recently I have been unsatisfied and extremely disappointed both with the quality and the service. I put an order for a whole wheat bagel, got a message that my order is ready for pickup and drove all the way there to pick it up. When I got there they told me that they ran out of whole wheat bread. They could have easily called me and save me the trip to go there but I guess they neglected. Not happy with their behavior because they were not even apologetic and the lady was almost mad that why do I need a whole wheat well thats because people have different diets and issues and not everyone can have sesame bagel!

Prefacing this by saying the bagels and donuts are great. The reason for my review is to let the owners know that the customer service provided by their employees is among the worst I’ve experienced in hopes that they can rectify the situation. First, the employees steer phone orders over to their website - that’s completely fine and reasonable. However not all menu options are on their website (for example, donuts are not listed for online order). So if you want these items, an online order isn’t possible. I called one morning to place an order and the manager (he will now be referred to as Mr. Grumpy) was VERY rude, almost angry with me for even calling. I tried to explain to him what I wanted to order (donuts) aren’t on the website so I couldn’t order them which was why I was calling and he said to text my order instead and then actually hung up on me. Then again this morning, I tried to text an order in, only I got an automated text reply said they’re not accepting text orders and to call. So I did. Mr. Grumpy answered and yelled at me for calling telling me he wasn’t taking orders because they were “sold out of everything” (side note: it was only 7:45am). He then changed his story to there being 70 orders ahead of mine so I had to come down in person and wait in line. Again, he hung up on me. Fine. I went down in person assuming okay, they’re busy I get it. When I got there, ten minutes later, I was expecting a crowd…only to find there was hardly ANYONE even there. Worse still, there were between 15-20 employees all standing around just talking to each other, Mr. Grumpy was outside talking to people, and there were only about 5-7 pickup orders on the shelf. To the owners, Mr & Mrs Mahoney - I have been in the service industry for many years. I have had many roles from employee, to manager, and eventually to owner. I wouldn’t be able to tolerate an employee lying to customers and disrespecting them this way and I would absolutely want to know these things are happening at my store. My experiences do not appear to be outliers either; there are many posts about Mr. Grumpy and they span several years. He is actively costing you business and I thought you needed to know, especially given how 2020/2021 has been for the service industry. While I truly do love your bagels, it is clear that your staff doesn’t care about my business and for this reason, I sadly will not be back.

They got my bagel order wrong. We were given 3 everything and 3 whole wheat instead of 3 everything and 3 multigrain. We went HOME with the bagels, our hands have been in the bag. When we saw the mistake we returned to the bagel shop to exchange them and they put the whole wheat bagels from our bag back on the shelf. My mother told the employee they should not put the bagels we had taken home back on the shelf and they did nothing. Just said Have a nice day. The bagels remained on the shelf.

The everything bagel was the plainest “everything” bagel I’ve ever seen. The cheese on my bacon egg and cheese was very solid and not even a little bit melted even with the hot bagel and egg. Coffee did not have French Vanilla. They only offer pure cane sugar. Overall bitterly disappointed especially in the amount of seasoning on the everything bagel and the coffee that was not even close to par.

New York transplant to the area where you can get a freshly baked bagel 24 hours a day and the Wicked Bagel is great for the Greater Boston area. I like how you can look right back into the food prep area, fun for kids.Everything bagel was well cooked but slightly under-seeded. I asked for it toasted and they perfectly toasted it (you’d be surprised how many places burn their bagels when they toast).Prices are reasonable (I only got bagels) and the cream cheese was very fresh and creamy.Since it’s 2020, their setup was very safe and had a strict mask-on policy. You had the option to order ahead online, by text or right at the register. All employees appeared to be using safe COVID-19 techniques.

Amazing bagels at a reasonable price. These are New York quality: soft and chewy, with exactly the right crust, just slightly larger than average for the style. Because the Boston area has a scarcity of bagels of this quality, theres a line in the morning (at least, there was on opening weekend), but the staff kept it moving at a decent speed. The only nearby bagel baker thats comparable to this is Bagelsaurus in Cambridge, but Wicked Bagel is much less expensive (e.g., at about $15 for a bakers dozen, its about $10 cheaper than Bagelsaurus).

I called Wicked prior to placing my order to let them know I wanted 6 everything bagels. I specifically called them ahead of time because the order feature on Grubhub did not allow me to choose what type of bagels I wanted. So I contacted the store and told them that I was submitting my order and to please fulfill it with everything bagels. But of course, not only did I NOT get 6 everything bagels, I got ZERO everything bagels. They gave me a variety of 6 bagels, which I paid $13 for and not a single one was everything. I understand we are in unprecedented times right now, but for a business whose ONLY option is deliveries, I would imagine they would be extra diligent in making sure their orders were fulfilled correctly, considering I called to confirm my order. When I contacted to find out what happened, the owner accused me of yelling, which I definitely wasn’t. We are talking about bagels. There would be absolutely no reason to yell. Bunch of clowns. Won’t be ordering from Wicked Bagel anymore.

It was not edible. I took one bite, made both my parents try it to validate my thoughts and then it was thrown away. I love Wicked Bagels. The bagels are fresh and exactly what a bagel should be. They offer a large variety of bagels and toppings. They serve hot tea and hot, iced, & cold brew coffees. They are busy and, understandably, run out of the more popular bagels pretty early. They also run out of toppings - I’d say every time I go, they are out of something I wanted to order. Annoying, but again, understandable. If I were just basing the stars on today’s order, I probably would’ve give 4/5 because they were out of bananas, but didn’t know until about 10 minutes after I ordered and paid so they had to refund the banana charge. But also, once home, I found they gave me one wrong bagel out of 3 ordered - right toppings.Mistakes happen & things run out.The bagels are worth it and everyone who works there is always friendly and ready to help.

First things first, the bagels are delicious. Great variety, great taste, and pretty good texture. Not the best in the Boston area (that probably goes to Exodus in Jamaica Plain), but pretty close. For just the bagels, Id probably give 4 or 5 stars. The toasted bagels and sandwiches leave a bit to be desired. Weve gotten them a few times and the prepared orders that should be hot are luke-warm at best. A bagel toasted with butter was loaded to the gills with unmelted butter. I had to scrape it off and everything was just kind of cold and barely toasted. Also, theres no changing table in the mens bathroom. Im not sure why the bathrooms are gendered at all...they are single-person bathrooms with locks, so just make them unisex. But as it is, theres only a changing room in the womens bathroom. Whenever Ive been there, theres always a lot of dads with kids, and I dont know how they change diaper. I had to do it in my car.

When I got them home, the bacon egg and cheese sandwich was missing the egg :( I want to support this place because its great to have a quality bagel place nearby, but I wish they could speed up sandwich prep and improve qc.
