Do not go here for a craftsman warranty. Their store policy is to only exchange a tool that has the exact model number. So your craftsman tool that is 20 years old well they make the same tool but it has a different model number now so they can’t help you. “Manager” was not helpful either. I recommend going elsewhere.

Each employee was super friendly and greeted me with a smile. Wyatt helped me find batteries and I appreciated his service very much. Will definitely be returning!

We always get great service when we come here. We came in for some bird food and feeders. We were shown where the items were and explained which was best for our area. We feel that we got great service and great value for what we bought.

The young man that works there immediately asked what we were looking for and then proceeded to take us to the items we wanted! So sorry I didnt get his name but he certainly knows customer service!! The register girl was very nice and efficient as well. We got all 3 items we needed and was very pleased!

I love Ace Hardware. But... I ordered 4 things online at 230pm thinking itd be an easy pickup on my way home from work (6ish) because the website said available for curbside pickup today. Ive been refreshing my email and theyre still processing my order. They also closed 6 minutes ago

I purchased 2 azaleas that didn’t work in my garden landscape for my storefront. Less than 24 hours later, I took them back but they wouldn’t allow me to return them. I’ve spent plenty here on behalf of my business and felt they could’ve returned them and kept me as a customer. As it stands, I will be doing business elsewhere from here on out. I own a customer facing business and I understand the value a good customer service. The cost of the return was so little in comparison to the loss of my business as a customer.

My favorite thing about Ace is the $5 cards you get in the mail if you sign up 😁. I like the random stuff they have like Ive gotten barbecue sauce and strawberry syrup here.

Westlake is a very friendly and helpful hardware store. It is very like their advertisements, in fact. If you go in today you just know that they are still smiling behind their masks. If they do not have an item they suggest where you might find it. Its like going into Macys in A Miracle on 34th Street.

Always out of stock on the cheaper options. Selection is slim and what they do have tends towardsbeing overpriced (furnace filters are 12-15 dollars and 7.50 at Menards). Staff is not overly helpful (if you can find them) or knowledgeable and will argue with you like they know more than you do about what you need. Always long lines at the cashier because they are always understaffed. Not impressed.

Wouldnt honor a warranty, (2 yr) with 2 months remaining, no receipt , but was purchased using ace rewards card, so its on file!!! Wasted 2hrs and a couple hundred dollars for something that was not worth the 2 hrs!!!

My wife tells me every time we go to the big box store, why did not go to Westlake. Almost everytime we end up at Westlake after going to the big box store because they dont have what we need. Even though its smaller, they have what you need in stock.

If you dont know where the item youre looking for is youre out of luck. Asked a group of employees who were chatting at the registers but they werent willing to help and sent me to wait for someone who never showed up.

There has always someone to help you. They have a little repair shop in the back of the store. I just took my stihl chains to get them sharpened.

Impressed with the variety and quality of plants this year, the knowledge of the employees, and the overall pleasant atmosphere of shopping at this location.

Went in to get a key cut this Saturday. Stood by the kiosk without any help. Then I requested help from a cashier. Another 5 minutes later, no help. Then they paged customer service, i waited another 5 minutes... No help. I walked out. I love to support local business, but i took my business to Menards because at least they helped me. I was okay with paying more for your service and products expecting excellent service. Wont be back again.

Not my best helper this day but dont care. The guy would have found what I was looking for and really tried his best I think. And watched them deal with another customer and offer a better deal to them than I would have. When in reality, they probably shouldnt have offered any deal on the broken tool.

This is a nice, reasonably sized hardware store. Staff is friendly, store is usually well stocked. The only downside to this store is that sometimes it takes too long to check out. Lots of check-out lines but usually not many open.

Good neighborhood hdwr store, nice to have one on this side of Lawrence. Has about everything youll need to home and garden projects. Will fix screens, sharpen blades, etc. Sometime a little hard to find assistance, but generally helpful.

Despite county and state mandating masks, most of your customers weren’t wearing masks this AM. I don’t know what your employee working the door was doing but certainly wasn’t helping their clueless customers put on a mask. Not safe to shop at during covid.

Westlake Ace Hardware is the place to find everything you need! The entire staff is always so friendly and incredibly helpful. There have been many times they have helped me solve problems whether it was which was the best paint to choose for a certain project or what is the best way to repair a garden gate. Love going to this store!

They have a little bit of everything, which is great if you only need 1 or 2 of a specific item, but if you need half a dozen or more of any particular thing from hardware, tools, and more you will need to hit up multiple locations. Staff are super friendly and helpful, there are several young ones that are unexcited and seem under-valued/under-paid. Cashier wait time can be a little long if they are understaffed at times.

A big Ace Hardware store with knowledgeable staff and good inventory. Its the go to place in Lawrence now that there are no independent, local stores left. Depending on the item, they are sometimes less expensive than the big box stores like Home Depot.

This is a great hardware store. They have a little bit of everything it seems. The prices are reasonable and they are just a couple blocks from my house. Whenever the seasons change, they make sure to have plenty of what people will be wanting. Its early December as I write this and they have tons of snow shovels and ice melt (for example). The physical building was formerly a grocery store. Its a little worn looking, but Ive seen worse. The people who work here are always nice.

Always helpful but a little bit pricey.

I shop here for all my home diy projects. I love it so much that I always make a second trip the same day I made the first one, or maybe its because I always forget something. They have 90% of the items Im looking for and rarely do I find products cheaper elsewhere. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable and theres never too long of a wait to check out. The only downsides to Ace is their lack of lumber selection and the fact that I usually end up being there for hours. Some people have church; I have the hardware store.

I bought these pots last summer, ($80.00 each.) The glaze and some of the pottery itself have popped off. See attached pix. The assistant manager thought it was manufacturer defects and told us to pick out replacement pots. When we went inside to do the exchange, the manager rudely told me they werent supposed to be outside in the winter, so it was my fault they messed up. There was no sign telling me this and neither of the cashiers mentioned it either.I emailed my complaint to the main office and was contacted and told I could return these for exchange. I did so and was very satisfied with the end result.

Stores like this need to require employees to where masks. Unbelievable at this point in time that this even needs to be said.

Great buys...I love a bargain and coupon shopping! Close out on plants at rediculously low prices...less than a dollar! Nice selection when we were there. Very friendly employees...helped me load bargains!

Gotta admit, customer service is rediculously SLOW!!! However, they are extremely nice. So if in a hurry forget about it. But friendly services they definitely have!

Due to COVID we purposely shopped the outside garden. Had to go in store to pay. Will not shop for plants there again.

You will not receive the same level of safety and service at the 6th and Kasold location.They do not allow phone orders at all. Anything they deem to be non-essential has to be bought in person in-store.Ace at 23rd and Louisiana has much better service and safety during this pandemic and you can place phone orders for pick up!Stay safe and keep essential workers safe too!

They seem to have resolved staffing issues, I havent had to wait in line for a while now. Always super friendly people. And unlike the big box joints, their plants dont come with mealybugs 😉

Friendly Place. Helpful even when the thing is tough. I hate that they lock things up in the tool and chainsaw sections and the corporate website is worthless. But it smells wonderful like hardware and garden stuff.

Has many varities of paints, paints cleaning supplies, kitchen tools-- more option than Walmart and other stores.
