Great service! Roy came to my home to evaluate my three garage doors. He gave me several options of what to do with my aging doors that I was reluctant to replace. He made some needed repairs and did some much needed maintenance on the doors, and installed a new motor on one of the doors. All three doors now work beautifully. Came out on Memorial Day to fix my garage door spring. They were scheduled to come at 2pm but called at 11am and said they were near by and could come early if I was available. They came and fixed the garage door spring. Replaced it with their spring that has a lifetime guarantee. I would highly recommend A1 to anyone who needs garage repairs done!I was blown away and very happy to find that he had the new spring with him and could install it right then and there. Wednesday morning our garage door spring snapped and we called A1 Garage Door Service. Roy came out that afternoon and hooked us up with a brand new outter spring system and wireless motor. I cannot say enough great things about A1. My garage door broke late last night. After calling a different service and getting a strange voicemail, my dad suggested I call A1. Anthony was great! He showed me the various problems l was having and provided solutions to the problems. I was impressed with the coil springs A1 uses compared to Precision Door. A couple of months ago, I made an appointment with Precision Door to perform a tune-up and let me know what needs to be done to get my garage door operating the way it used too. I couldnt believe, I was charged $100 for tightening a screw. That fix lasted a week before I had the same problem. I dont recommend Precision Door but instead ask for Anthony at A1. Anthony took his time despite the hot and humid temperature. He provides his suggestions and didnt over sell. He provided the cost from the most expensive items to the basic. I truly feel he was honest and did excellent work. I highly recommend A1 and ask for Anthony.

I didn’t like that he didn’t wear a mask but understood given the conditions being 107° (he was outside and where in NV and didn’t want to make his working situation worse than already it is w/the heat). I was happy that I found him on the Angie app because I was able to get 15% off my job and that was a big relief since I wasn’t anticipating a new new garage door system. I never had my garage door serviced before and called A1 to do a tune up and overall assessment. The tech did a great job going over all components of my garage and opener. I ended up replacing my rollers on the tune up visit and called back to get their max life springs installed with new cables, drums, and bearings installed. Definitely spent more than I was planning but couldn’t be happier with my overall experience with both A1 technicians. Top notch company and one less thing I have to worry about

My technician was great. He called when he was 20 minutes away. He showed up during the window of 2-6:00 pm that I was given. My compliant is the cost. It was a minor wiring repair. He removed the duct tape on the sensor wiring, cut new ends, and reconnected the ends with small electrical covers giving the sensors the electrical connection needed. He then replaced a missing bolt of the inside garage door handle and sprayed some lubricant on the track wheels. Forty-five minutes of labor, maybe $5.00 in parts. Bill $170. I wanted to tip him but I felt robbed already. Otherwise, he was wonderful. Service great. Cost NOT!

Technician was very polite, informative, and very detailed. He explained everything thing that he was going to do and also made some great suggestions. He cleaned up his work area very well after the job was done and I will definitely used this company again for future repairs or upgrades. This is a great company with talented and knowledgeable technicians.

So I heard of this company through podcasts with the owner Tommy Mello. From the beginning, the two gentleman that showed up, Roy and Tyler, were consummate professionals. Masked up and ready to go, they were kind and explanatory in what was happening with my garage door. They provided options for the motor, the springs, the brackets and even rollers! We ended up replacing the motor, the sensors, the rollers, one pair of brackets and springs. It was more than I expected to spend, however I feel the price was fair for the quality of service and products. They focused my options around our needs which is what service professionals do. Full disclosure: I have a non-standard length garage door, which requires A1 to have to special order a custom length. I was trying to get a new door installed prior to selling my house, so I needed the door installed within 2 months.Review: The estimated time for delivery was quoted at 4-6 weeks, so I thought I would be good (I was moving in 2 months and wanted the door installed prior to listing and selling the house). There’s a 3-day grace period to amend or cancel your order; after discussing options with my wife after the initial quote and deposit, we decided to go with a different color, so I made that request within the 3-day period.Fast forward a month, I get an email saying that my door has been ordered. To my dismay, the invoice did not reflect the changes that I had requested. My reflex was to call customer service and cancel the order before they cut the wrong custom door. The answer I got was, “ok sir, I’ve put in the cancellation request, someone will contact you in 1-2 business days, and yes your refund will process by the end of the week.”No one ever called back, so I proceed to call back probably 5 times over a two week period. I got the same line every single time, even when I had my query upgraded to “urgent” supposedly. Meanwhile I kept getting emails saying my order was on track.Fed up with customer service, I finally got a hold of a manager. After explaining the situation and going back and forth for 10 minutes, we were at an impasse. The only way I could cancel my order was to lose my $1300 deposit. I said “no way, I changed my order within the required 3 day period AND made several attempts to help you avoid cutting this custom door that nobody wants, plus this is the first time anyone has said a refund would be impossible!” I was again told my request would be elevated and someone would contact me in 1-2 days.Nothing. Then I get an email about delivery of this door, which by now was set to be delivered after I’d already listed my house, and I would be gone by then. After 2 more useless customer service calls and no progress, I had no choice to file a dispute with my credit card company. The deposit was finally refunded, about 2 months after I had initially paid it.TLDR; customer service is ineffective at processing changes or cancellations, they just do nothing in order to try to keep your deposit. Shady stuff.

I contacted A-1 Garage Door Services for a tune - up since my door opener is aging already. When the technician came out, he politely and in plain - English explained that the springs need to be replace since it wasnt doing its job anymore and the motor might give out anytime soon. I asked for a quote for the replacement of both parts from them and several other companies and they came out the cheapest. They came way under all competitors! Our technician, Zeke, was there on time and in an hour, everything was done and ready to go. Definitely recommending this company especially since they have wonderful technicians and the manager, Bruce, reached out to me just to make sure everything was done right - thats what I call quality customer service.

Broken garage doors are stressful and the need for repair is immediate especially if your car is trapped, but everyone at this company was so kind, helpful, quick, and professional that the experience was actually pleasant and I cant say enough nice things about them. They updated me several times on the progress of my appointment and the technician Jason was helpful, calm, and knowledgeable and showed me everything that was happening step by step. I was given several options with different price points and he explained each one so I could make an informed decision rather than being pressured or given a take it or leave it price. When he called to say he was on his way he asked if I needed him to pick me anything up at the convenience store he was at. I was delighted with his generosity and he made my day. Everybody at A1 acted completely professionally. They know their jobs and they do them well. My only issue was the time that it took for them to get the doors that they were installing. I spoke with the man who gave me the estimate shortly before Christmas and it took until early March before they had the doors to install. Once they did, they came out within days and had two garage doors replaced, aligned and dialed in in about four hours. And they honored their discount coupon because I placed the order before it expired. I cant blame them for the Covid-19 delays at the factory. I just wish I had more of a heads up about that. fortunately, my old door was still working so the extra time just gave me more time to set aside some money to pay for the job. I would use them again.
