This is less of a review of the establishment and more about the products. The place itself is pretty dang small and isnt much to speak about. However, I stumbled upon this tiny shop after dining at Aloha Specialties. I got the Strawberry Banana Gummy Bears and they were easily the best Gummy bears Id ever had. Im just kicking myself for not picking another one of their dozens of flavors. Oh well, gives me something to look forward to next time!

This a pretty cool store in the California hotel. If you are looking for the playing card cookies, they have them here!! Thankfully I was able to find them and bring some back home to share. It was a tiny store but they did have some interesting 808 jerky flavors. I havent tried any yet but they look delicious. Overall cute store!

This is a convenience store specializing in Hawaiian kine and unique Chinese & Japanese treats. Vegas 808 has a long history in Las Vegas, 46 years in fact, according to the store owner, Tiger! I found a true gem thanks to other friends recommendations, and I am so looking forward to tear into my haul of snacks, including jerkys, matcha green tea almonds and butter toffee nuts. Its at the top of the escalator in the Hotel California in Old Vegas (Fremont), a local Hawaiian favorite spot!

Would have given zero stars if it let me. Came in on Christmas Eve and not even a greeting. What seemed to be the son of the owner was on the phone complaining about an employee. When he snapped at my child touching the Christmas decorations ( a stuffed snowman at the entrance of the store). You know if you are grouchy that you have to come in on Christmas Eve, you are in the wrong business. Being in customer service myself, I was very offended by how he spoke and called my kids to get out of the store and refused to buy a thing. I usually will spend close to $500 at this store on one vacation. They have lost my business forever! I will also tell all my friends and family that go to Vegas to not buy things from that store. It’s cheaper in Hawaii anyway. I will tell them to walk a block further to get their Vegas treats at the ABC store where the workers are much more friendly and eager to help you find things. He needs a lesson on how to speak with customers and their children. He has a Mainland mentality when talking to people, not the aloha spirit known to the California Hotel.

Rude customer service! I called to ask about lemon peel because I’ve been looking for some all day. I asked him how big the bag was and he “huffed” on the phone like he didn’t wanna get up to look. Than I asked how much it was and he said they don’t give out prices over the phone. Coming from a girl who is from Hawaii, I will NEVER shop there ever again! If I could’ve gave no stars that would be the case!!

A lot of items to choose from and the prices are reasonable, staff is also friendly. Would definitely visit this store again when Im in Las Vegas.
