A cute little local art store. Service is great and local artists occasionally hold events here. You can find many art supplies that are hard to find. On the other hand their prices are on the expensive side .

Art Essentials is a quaint shop with a multitude of supplies for purposes of the fine arts. The shops interior has a quiet atmosphere that I find very soothing when I am shopping for classroom materials there. The shop is locateded very close to the the main campus of New Mexico Highlands University (a short walking distance away for students who live on campus) and the shops current ownership offers a discount for students. I am somewhat involved in the NMHU media arts department and I find Art Essentials to great resource for my assigned projects.
