The staff here is knowledgeable about a great many things game related. They run popular games on a weekly basis, so be sure to ask if they run your favorite table top game! They also rent computer time for gaming. Their game selection is always excellent, too! They do sell some beverages and small food items, they sell all kinds of dice for all of your table top role playing game needs! Overall, this store is excellent, and not only because it is the only one of its type in the antelope valley area! Its a pretty fun place to hang out!

I’ve been playing Magic the Gathering for over seven years, and this shop is one of the worst I’ve experienced. The management shows favoritism towards their highest paying customers and the groups who play here laugh at newer players.Mtg is a game for people of all skill ranges and ages. I’ve brought friends here multiple times who end up thinking the community is just like they see at this shop.I do not recommend this shop to any new players. There are plenty of other shops in Santa Clarita and the AV that are WELL WORTH the drive.

Locally owned and operated frequently by the owner.Decent selection and a wonderful place to gather for games and conversation.Subscription or pay by hour option to play computer games.They can even take special requests for you or help you find a product with in the genre of the venues specialty.

Lots of improvements made in the last six months and it really shows in everything they do. Tons of merchandise, lots of gaming PCs to play and a great social atmosphere.

I had my sons 13th birthday party here. We got to reserve 10 computers for four hours at a super cheap price. Everyone loved it and had a blast. They ate pizzas and cake (we provided, not the store) outside on the patio which was convenient.The staff member was super helpful, and now all of my kids friends want the same thing for their parties.Also, the boulevard has a party supply store and a Starbucks right there, so if you forget something (or just need a pick me up to keep up with the kids) its really close.

Awesome place to just geek out, nerd out, or whatever else you want to call it. I went during a special event so it was a bit crowded, but even then it wasnt loud. Staff was very helpful and patient.I was getting my kids their first dice sets and the guy helping us was patient while they picked out the dice they wanted. He made us all feel comfortable unlike some comic shops Ive been to which make you feel like they only want adults in there.

Probably the only gaming center in the AV and it sure does make a name for itself when being the best. Tbh, I wish the owners would come around more so we could voice how great of a job the staff is doing at maintaining the place. Either way, I wanted to come in a renew my membership and they said they werent offering it yet due to system changes? Either way, its a great place to come in. If you love Tabletops, PC Gaming, Tournaments, Arcade Games, Comic Books, Card Games, this place is definitely for you. Just ask if you can play certain games on the PC, they have a banned set of genres. Like A and M+, it should go without saying you shouldnt play those types of games in a family type of environment. Other than that, I would come check out regardless. You never know, you might find out something new.

The go to store for all your War gaming needs! The staff is great! I highly recommend you stop by to play, they are some of the best staff to help you get better. I was on vacation and just loved the place and plan to be back to purchase more stuff and get some gaming in.

One of my favorite happy places. Pull up a chair and play everything from Magic toPathfinder to Settlers of Catan. Better yet, buy a game from the store and then play it there. 😎 They sell comic books and gaming accessories, and also have computers along the walls for e-gaming. I dont play the video games, but the players talk and laugh with each other so I can tell its loads of fun.

My local card shop and I personally love the people here. The owners dont pressure anyone to buy anything and are friendly people.

Anyone who knocks this place must not have actually gone inside.Ive gone there quite a few times and never once have I not been greeted or been helped.Ive purchased something each time and was helped from the moment I walked in until I left with my new stuff.The staff is great, the selection is amazing and Id definitely go back for more stuff.

I do not recommend entering if you have a vagina. They definitely are not interesting in helping you or answering your questions. I went in to try to build an MTG deck for my roommate and the staff all but acted like I was a naive child not good enough for the elite geek atmosphere they are trying to cultivate.

A great board game/RPG store that has computers that you can rent by the hour or the day, arcade games, and tons of events.If its your first time walking in, the owners arent always the most attentive unless you ask for them but thats because theyre usually playing games with other people in the store. They definitely know their stuff when it comes to board games, RPGs, and the various computer and arcade games that you can rent.

Good selection of many types of games and a small selection of comics. There are a handful of gaming PCs on site and two arcade games (with multi-game configuration) for use at hourly/daily rates and they offer monthly memberships.The business has odd hours but that isnt a big deal.The one employee I met was friendly of not slightly distracted. Even playing RuneScape he quickly turned his attention to customers which is great. He told me a bit about the business and their busier hours.I look forward to returning soon. Ill update the review once I see how tournaments are run.

Nice place, good location, but swings towards serious RPGers and video gamers. Would be better if it were all-inclusive, for families and casual tabletop gaming too. I guess theres a lot of dead time - why not fill it with casual gamers during that time? The staffer was polite but clearly not encouraging our sort there. Relatively little for sale in the way of non-RPG table top games. This place will not last long without filling the dead time and bringing on new gamers, diversifying.

If youre looking for a warm welcome, you can find it outside. New to Cali I came by trying to make friends, find a D&D group, and overall have a good time. The staff is friendly your first visit, but you get the feeling you could take your business elsewhere. Every visit after, you dont exist if youre new. I came by for D&D, and was casually told they start at 6 and l could just wait around. So I waited an hour with my wife and another couple came in inquiring about the same. They got more information than I did, and got told D&D started at 7, but the only DM to show would likely be the shop DM, and his campaign was full. I grabbed my bag and left. Im upset that I didnt get pertinent information, and it took another couple to get that info.

Great place but i will mever go back ...something goes missing at your table which sits 4-6 and cables everywhere. Its up to the person who lost it to pick who stole it i was told over the phone. Instead of checking cameras they assumed i did it because they boy said so.

Its a nice little hang out spot for people that love play card games and such, there a hand full of gaming computers to use, though Ive personally only went here to play Pokemon TCG and to purchase Card accessories. The people are really friendly, and all and all a pretty nice hang out spot

I was here a couple of times and let me say by far it gets worse every time I go.1. Garbage collection lot behind the counter-It is disgusting with the amount of fast food trash, empty cans, boxes and whatever else you can imagine just piles up behind the counter in a disgusting heap of rubbish- (hoarders would be jealous). Speaking from a business environment I would only ensure that behind the counter is the pride and joy of a business.2. Singles just thrown in the counter. If your already going to put singles in your counter please make sure you are organized and dont just have a pile of 200 singles upside down and scattered everywhere . That goes again with how dirty your business register section is.-short story to this/. I played at your aether revolt pre release and I was going to buy singles. Your employee behind the register was munching down on fries and without even wiping his hands grabbed the cards I wanted and Im not even exaggerating huge grease marks all over the front and back. It was so bad there was even salt granules on them still. I respectfully declined the sale.3. Bathroom. The bathroom is filthy. Broken toilet, no soap, no tissues. And plain filthy with random assortment of tools and supplies shoved in every cranie you can find.I just am amazed that you have such a huge player base but yet short change them. You have one of the best locations from all the game stores there is no reason you guys cant be number one with a little inside spring cleaning and sifting through your employees.Start more events . Little organization would be great and honestly you guys could rise up beyond what it is that you have going on now. The player base loves you apparently. Just make sure you as a store honor your customers and give back with a more professional environment.

Maybe it was because I was going in looking for comics, but what I got was smelly, dirty, messy room. I mean I found a few decent comics. Not many worth buying though has some neat cards and collectables, but all this falls flat when you have lazy rude mangers. So I didnt enjoy my stay at all!!!!

I am blown away by the reviews for this place, its like Im caught in an alternate dimension. 80% of the time I go here no one even says hi to me when I walk in, the staff is usually too self involved with the front desk computer surfing the web or some conversation with one another to even acknowledge my existence. Ive spent five minutes in the store (while it was empty) browsing and have left without ever being spoken to even with a person behind the front desk ten feet away the whole time. Their selection is pretty good, but dont bother requesting items. I went in for about two months requesting some of the new Munchkins, in response their selection of munckin has decreased. So I buy them on Amazon now. Their selection overall has shrunk recently, what used to be the back comic room with miniatures has been moved up front and the rest is just gone. Theyve of course kept all the materials relevant to the games they host like Warhammer and such. Their biggest problem is their prices however, but I also blame Amazon Prime. Im a big board game collector, their selection is good but is roughly 10% or MORE expensive than Amazon, combined with Prime I only have to wait 2 days to save $10 or more? Munchkin Quest was $20 above its Amazon Prime price. I used to love local shops like this, and while I continue to go back to Battle Grounds because I do truly want to support my local hobby shop, their prices combined with their lack luster customer service continue to push me out without buying a thing. I truly wish I could have the 5 star experience all these other reviews have had, sadly I have not been so lucky. Personally I think their greatest advantage is theyre the only real gaming hobby store in the Antelope Valley, if youre looking for any serious board/card games you can go here or to Amazon, otherwise youre relegated to Wal-Mart and the like for your standard board games and collectable card foil packets.

Im a big Mtg gamer and the staff is great. The Mtg players are very helpful and are very generous to players who havent played in awhile. Devon and Craig are great guys and I wouldnt go anywhere else but go to them. Im going to go there for the D&D on Wednesday nights now and see how that goes. They stock up good on Mtg, comics, Bronies, Warhammer, Heroclix, dice, star wars ccg, thats all I can think of for now.
