Great store, atmosphere feels like Im back in South Texas! Came twice in the same day and brought my family with me the second time. They loved it too. Also found Inca Kola here; havent been able to find this outside Peru!

The butchers are really nice, however the prices of their meat are outrageous.

First off, non-Hispanic people would not appreciate the variety of Latin-American products this store carries. Their meat department alone is impressive considering the small size of this little market, and their prices are much lower than larger chain supermarkets. Because of this, their aisle are jammed-packed and narrow. However, if you are looking for authentic pantry items and produce from Mexico,, Central- and South-America for Hispanic cooking, this is the place to find them in the greater Tacoma area.I gave this store 4 stars because the people that stock the shelves did not know if they carry what I was looking for (they did) or have personal experience with some of the things they sell but they were polite and friendly.

3 stars cuz they didnt carry hot enough sauce to flavor my chocotaco with... Although they did have a giant blow up doll of Seth McFarlane giving everyone the finger.

I prefer hard tacos, so were not feeling good about that.

Wide selection, the fajita meats ( we got beef and chicken) was pretty good.

Small busy shop with a lot choices . They have a pretty good deal on Plantain . Their vegetables were more expensive than other places. They have the best goat meat meat ! That’s why I always go there .

They have a variety of things.my issue is cashier was rude to my husband he said hi to her and all she did was look at him an start scanning. Honestly feel like they dont like white people going there. Wont be going back there for that reason.

This store has grown over the past 5 years, if you want good chicharones get em fresh and hot.Sometimes produce is out of stock for certain ingredients, seasonal and regional reasoning... But when its in they got a good choice of selection.Theyve expanded the pastry area, floor space, and deli.

The 2 or 3 times that Ive visited this store the cashiers are always super rude. The pan dulce is old and hard. The store is dirty and has little selection. I always prefer to go to the store down the road, Los Guerreors.

Really nice place with lots of options. Tax is surprisingly low.

They have a great variety of things you can’t find at the local grocery because this is the PNW. I’m from TX so I find things here that I used back home. It’s is a bit dirty looking but in all there are some great finds. Place just needs a bit of renovation/upscaling.

To much socializing at the registers with the ladies and customers having to wait until the socializing is over and the ladies at the registers show no regrets for having customers until they finished with their unprofessional/ Lack of customer service behaviors.

I love shopping at El Mercado Latino(The Latino Market) because it truly has a little bit of everything for just about every Latino group; and in the past few years, Ive even started encountering some Anglos shopping there. My favorite thing about this place is that it includes lots of merchandise for Latinos from Caribbean origin.

The best FRESH Spanish produce and meats and other Latino things you cant find else where especially the cooked pork on the weekends. Ahhh cant wait oh and dont forget the worker who wait on you full of love. Yes its all there. Once you go you are hooked.

Ordered a $100 photo cake to be picked up at 1pm it is now 220 and Im still waiting.While Im waiting I noticed how unsanitary their meat slicer, theres a whole bunch of flies.They also sell hot food and the ladies whos ringing up also preparing the food but noticed that not one of them washed theyre hands.Its a little difficult for me to ask certain question if they dont understand me or I dont understand them.Good thing I understand a little bit Spanish...Oh now they told me they dont have the edible photo I wanted!!! They put plastic toy on top of the cake instead. Im really disappointed. Im not gonna say I wont be back i like some of their produce,but I know for sure I wont order a cake anymore

This place is awful. Cashiers are rude and don’t want to help. They have their line zig-zagging into the aisles while blocking the exit door. That’s a fire hazard. People only shop here because they sell items you can’t get at Walmart or any other store. People shouldn’t support this store if they treat their customers like trash.

This business serves mostly the Mexican community but you will find a limited variety of Central and South Amerjcan items. Fresh bakery meats and vegetables as well they carry a small line of last minute desserts.

I love this store. It has a family feeling and I can find Caribbean products. The baked goods are yummy!

My family and I and some friends absolutley love El Mercado Latino they have an abundance of great foods ,meats and specialty cut meats vegetables that you cant find else where and the family that runs the place and their employee are fantastic people.

Where I get stuff to make street tacos, love it there. I dont speak Spanish and have never had any issues there. It is absolutely the best place to go if you want to try new foods, on a side note they do sell Guinea pig meat by the pound so make sure you dont buy it by mistake. If you love tacos, they have the different taco meats by the pound already cut up and easy to make, I havent found this anywhere else. Its perfect for taco lovers, even if your not latino.

My go to grocery store for 6 weeks while staying in the nearby Candlewood Suites.The meat is fresh and nicely done. They also have a bakery on site with some of the best pan dulce I have had in a good bit.They have a nice selection of what you may need. It is not a long list of the same thing, for example, they will not have 46 different kinds of coffee, but they will have 2 or 3. It is like that for everything.Produce can be a little bit of a gamble. I had better luck finding fruit than veggies.

This place was very cool, like being in one of the tiendas we love so dearly in Mexico.

Thankful they have a ton of Goya Products, the also carry fresh Recao half of the time. They have fresh chicharones plain and con carne on the weekends only. They have good meat, what every you want. Prices are great!

*WARNING*Order a cake there, I paid over 40 dollars for 1/4 size cake. The cake was made wrong and they even wrote the wrong name on the cake. Tried to talk to the person in charge and all she did was laugh. Very unprofessional over all. I returned half of the cake back to them with out wanting any money back. For them to see how wrongful they made the cake.. TOTALLY RUINED MY SONS BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Carne asada and pork al pastor is always on point. Been going there for three years. Dont need another Mexican market to buy from cause this one is legit.

They have a good selection of Hispanic veggies that other stores dont offer. :D also I found some kinder eggs which I love! I was only able to get them in Mexico and my kids love them :D I cant give 5 stars because their bread is almost always hard, and if its not hard it gets hard within a day and I keep it covered! Ive bought bread in Mexico and doesnt feel like it does here. Also their pan Blanco tastes like Walmart bread just being 100 percent honest. I lived in Chihuahua for a big part of my life so its hard not to compare amercianized Mexican food to AUTHENTIC. the bread just doesnt taste the same.

The price of their ranchera meat is great and tastes really good. They bake their own Pan Dulce 😍😍😍

This has been the best mexican and hispanic goods grocer Ive found to date. Theyre the only ones that have a lot of the harder to find ingredients such as aji amarillo and other traditional ingredients. If youre looking for those kinds of ingredients, youve found your stop. Its small and tightly packed with pretty much anything you might want from a mexican grocer. A side note, if you only speak english, you may want to know what youre looking for ahead of time when you come. Only one or two people who worked there spoke english, but if you are able to speak spanish itll make life easier shopping there.
