We used A&E for a recent move. Everything about this move was perfect. The loading team of Brian and Isaah did an outstanding job to get all of our items loaded, transported, and unloaded very quickly. They were very careful with all items and careful to protect furniture with plastic wrap and pads. They protected the entryway and the flooring with pads and runners. These guys worked very hard and very quickly. They never wasted any time. Great Job!

Don’t use these movers. Rude and very unprofessional. Several items were broken and the company never owned up to it. Should have just moved myself after all was said and done.

A&E sent us reliable, efficient loaders/packers and kept to the schedule they promised. The estimator was personable and worked with the team to get us a good deal. Our lead on the pack/load and unload teams was phenomenal! She was also the driver who delivered our load. Thank you, A&E for a smooth move!!!

We moved from San Diego to the Olympia Washington Area. These folks did a wonderful job of helping us get moved. That included listening to my concerns over the San Diego end affiliate and finding us an alternate awesome mover, helpers and driver. I packed my own stuff, and we had a lot of it, china, art, glassware etc; only one box had three bowls broken (not a bad sacrifice to the moving gods really); everything got here, no missing stuff. I highly recommend them.

This company was the worst experience I have ever ever had. I was military so I moved many times myself for many years and never damaged anything not one item. This company destroyed antiques collectibles furnishings everything I packed the boxes myself after they came out and did a review and determine what I had. my 1st question was you will be responsible for any breakage even though I packed it?? oh yes do I need extra insurance as I couldnt afford it. O no arm went around my shoulders we will replace any item we break. To date I havent received a dime from them they actually refused every item that was packed by me which was everything. They got their green Mayflower paint on several pieces of my furnishings. My stuff was packed so tightly boxes were crushed pictures were very evident od the damaged goods. I photos me open bgg boxes even. They had stacked all my boxes, ignoring fragile, do not stack Etc. Into my garage shop, 14 feet high into the rafters. They did not place items where they belonged or where I asked. The fire department called them to move the boxes as they blocked my ingress egress AND it was a fire hazard. When they ran out of time end of day the crew left items sitting outside and left. I contacted management they sent per fire departments request a couple out 3 days later and they made a path to the door. I had a complete upstairs, tons of room but the crew wouldnt pack stuff up the stairs. This home was larger then the one I moved out but they said they didnt have enough room to unload. They do NOT SAFELY AND CAREFULLY CARE FOR YOUR BELONGINGS. I HAVE SO MUCH CRUSHED ITEMS, BROKEN, DESTROYED. EVERYTHING, HEIRLOOMS DIDNT MATTER, DESTROYED. I CAUGHT THE EMPLOYEES GOING THRU A BOX OF MY PHOTOS, WHEN QUESTIONED THEY SAID THEY DROPPED IT AND IT CAME OPEN. ONE EMPLOYEE PULLED A PHOTO OF ME OUT OF HIS POCKET AND ASKED HOW OLD I WAS. UNBELIEVABLE BUT TRUE. I CAUGHT ANOTHER EMPLOYER GOING THRU BOXES MARKED MEDS. I WROTE A COMPLAINT TO THE OWNER AND WAS CALLED A LIAR. HE WANT HERE AND DIDNT SEE WHAT HAPPENED. IT TOOK ME 9 MONTHS TO EVEN ACCESS AND UNPACK ALL THE BOXES TO CHECK FOR DAMAGES. I HAD TO HIRE PEOPLE TO COME AND MOVE AND ARRANGE THE BOXES SO I COULD ACCESS THEM FIRST. MY DAMAGES WERE IGNORED AND DENIED. I REQUESTED A MEDITATION BUT WAS IGNORED. I FILLED COMPLAINTS WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND BBB. But because the company sent me an $1800 check it was considered I settled. No to date I never cashed the check and have wanted the mediation and the owner to come look at the photos AND DAMAGES AND HE HASNT NOR HAS HE SPOKEN TO ME. THEY ALSO HAD TO REFUND ME SOME MONIES PER THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT AS THEY TRIED BILLING ME FOR EXTRA TIME. EITHER WAY THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY AND THE SETTLEMENT CHECK DOESNT EVEN COVER THE COST OF MY COO COO CLOCK I BROUGHT BACK FROM GERMANY 40 YEARS AGO. IM DEVASTATED. MY STORY COULD GO ON FOR PAGES BUT BOTTOM LINE. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND DESTRUCTIVE. I HAVE NOTHING TO GAIN, MY ITEMS ARE DESTROYED. HONESTY AMD AWARENESS I WANT TO SHARE. THANK YOU. I NOTED OTHER COMPLAINTS BY SINGLE, SENIOR DISABLED WOMEN. SEEMS TO BE A PATTERN WITH THIS MOVING COMPANY.SINCERELY AMD HONESTLY .DEBevident that they destroyed my items but refused to pay for them

I’ll start this review by saying the A&E did an “OK” job with our move. The appraiser who came before the move did a good job and was very professional. The people who came to pack our fragile stuff were a day late but they did a pretty good job and were nice and professional. On the day of the move, we had an issue where the semi truck didn’t have enough room for all our stuff. A&E had to bring out one of their local truck to take the rest of our stuff and store it at their local facility. It took them several weeks to ship us this 2nd load of stuff in crates because of a mix up and the busy moving season. A few things had some damage in the move but nothing major. We will be filing a damage claim for these few items. The person at A&E who was coordinating our move was not as responsive as we would’ve liked but was ok. The Mayflower semi truck drive, while not working for A&E, did an excellent job! So all in all, they did an OK job.

The move went very well. There were a few problems but all of them were handled in a professional way and I would use them again.

I got an estimate from 2 moving companies and decided to go with A&E relocation services (even though their per pound price was higher) because I am disabled and they agreed to load and move on the same day. I researched everything and understood that I could be charged 25% more then the non-binding estimate if the weight was more than THEIR estimate. They came to my house and were aware of everything to be moved prior to the move date. There were a few issues like being really late etc but I wasnt upset about that. They loaded everything and we left Burien. My daughter, grandchildren and I drove to Spokane with all my animals and I got a message from the driver stating she was delayed. They got to the house and told me that their estimate was way off, that my boxes were deceptively heavy and that I needed to sign this supplemental. I said I dont sign blank documents and she said that she would not start unloading until I signed it and said I understood I had to pay double the estimate. I started crying and said that I was told that I could only be charged 25% more than the estimate and they couldnt add charges at the destination. If there had been additional items, Washington state law says a supplemental must be signed PRIOR to loading the truck. She scowled at me and said thats not the way it works. She stated legally they could charge 125% MORE than the estimate. I feel like I was scammed and it was definitely extortion. They knew that I was on disability and couldnt afford a truck at all but I am disabled and cant do it myself which is why I was moving to a cheaper area. She even told me she gave the office a lower weight to help me out (she estimated 6,000 pounds and had them write the estimate for 5,000 pounds then charged me for over 10,000 pounds) I know this cant be legal and I didnt know what to do. It was very late at night and I was in excruciating pain and needed to get to bed. I even had to have them put most of my stuff in the garage because after I was upset they banged stuff on my walls and complained loudly, the guy was coming down the ramp of the truck and fell off taking the wheeled cart with him crushing fragile things. After finding out he was ok I asked what it was and they said clothes, which confirmed their dishonesty for me. (plus they left cigarette butts on my property) and I told my daughter that I didnt want them coming in anymore because they kept damaging the property and acting like it was no big deal. After they left my daughter found many items marked fragile under heavy boxes marked books and my cherry wood full length mirror was broken beyond repair (wood in 3 places) and the glass was put in my outside garbage and the mirror was put in the garage in a fashion that we wouldnt see it until after they were gone. Many items that were supposed to be wrapped in furniture blankets were damaged. After promising my items would arrive intact, her response to the damage I saw immediately (parrot cages /playstand) I was told to claim it. This was the worst moving experience in my life. I had a moving company move me from California for less and my items were all intact. I was quoted $2,259.57 but after loading the truck, driving to my new home, they charged my credit card $4299.97 (after originally saying it $4600 but I was getting a 5% discount)

Super company with caring, professional staff. Would certainly use them again.
