Justin was extremely helpful in selecting flavours and styles to try. Honestly, the frozen Dragons Tail whiskey was the best taste Ive had in a while. The blend of sweet and hot with the differing flavor profiles whether frozen or room temp was delightful. Bought a bottle of it. So good! So would I come back again? The answer is Yes!

Had a blast here! Was able to walk from downtown easily. We sampled the whiskey and had a mixed drink. The bartenders were nice and let me sample something they were working on. The interior is smaller but still comfortable. I really liked the atmosphere and vibe of the place. Very fair pricing as well!

Great Location | Good Price | Average WhiskeyThis place has a superb location very close to the Knoxville downtown. I was interested in doing a whiskey tasting. Really liked the Gold Release Tennessee Whiskey - thought it was the best whiskey they had to offer. The others were pretty average. The Old City Heirloom Corn Whiskey (white whiskey) actually tasted like the spirit used for medical purposes. I don’t think they make the Rye 95 in house, but source if from Illinois.

Stopped by in the middle of the day based on a recommendation from a Facebook group. What a treat! Its a very small spot, so definitely go during off hours to get the best experience. Whitney was a blast of a bartender and really knew the ins and outs of each spirit. The flights are a great deal and everything was super tasty. Top recommendations- silver release bourbon, the orange vodka, and the coffee liqueur. Thanks for a great afternoon!

Well first let me say, they have restrictions because of covid. So they cant operate they way they would like to. With that being said, they followed all safety protocol. ASHLEY was amazing! So sweet and informative. Her male coworker was rude and could take a lesson from her. We watched him talk rudely to multiple customers. Other than that, a great experience. You have the opportunity to try all the spirits there as well as having mixed drinks. Highly recommend!

This craft distillery is the hidden gem in downtown Knoxville! My favorites are the pink gin and the coffee liqueur. (Was happy to find my local liquor store carries both). Stop in!! Friendly staff...Enjoyed the experience!!

There is a reason why this place pops up first if you google Knoxville Distillery. If Im honest, Ive only been in this place anytime Im needing a gift for someone, but this last time I did a complimentary whiskey flight- and it was delicious.

Small distillery in an old quaint building. Amanda, our friendly server, was very knowledgeable about their products as she explained the process of each one during our samplings. They produce a variety of interesting liquors...gin, rum, vodka, rye, whiskey and more.

Very nice vibe. A lot of their stuff is actually distilled in the building, which was great to see. They do only do flights (from what I experienced) so there wasnt as much explanation unless you asked for it. But the whiskey and rum were fabulous (did not try the gin and vodka) and I would definitely be back again!

Very interesting place. We did the tasting. You get thirteen 1/4 oz. pours. The staff is very knowledgeable about the distilling process and the history of the spirits. I will go back again.

A great microdistillery located in a nice historic warehouse. We chose a flight of 5 drinks made by Knox Whiskey..a maple rum, a coffee liqueur, a bourbon, a whiskey, and an award winning botanical gin. We dont know a lot about whiskeys and Tommy was super helpful answering all our questions, teaching us a little about the distilling process, and relaying some stories of his familys history in Tennessee. He poured a second round of samples for us which included a delicious honey habanero whiskey. If you purchase a bottle of any of their amazing craft spirits, they will comp the flight samples. This is a unique and interesting place to spend an hour or two while visiting Knoxville.Safe Travels

I really loved my experience here. We went for the late tour on 10/12/19, and were happy that it was a smaller tour which allowed the guide to be more personal and allowed us to ask more questions. Our guide went very deeply into each process and gave us very generous samples at the end. Since I was driving, I ended up taking much smaller sips of all 13 products. I ended up taking home a bottle of Fleur de Vie and my boyfriend took home two bottles of the Orange Vodka and DragonTail Whiskey. Some of the prices seemed slightly high, but since I saw the process, I had no problem paying the price for my bottle. I understand smaller and newer distilleries need to make their money!

Have tried numerous times to get by this place to buy something and they are literally never open..? It appears they are doing curbside ordering given the signage on the windows, but seriously- anytime I go there, there’s no one there. I have yet to try any of their stuff, but I may just give up since they never seem to be open? Stopped by a couple weeks ago about 6pm, no one there. Stopped by on a Sunday at 2 and no one was there. Anytime I go by after work, shocker- closed. Will update the review if somehow by the grace of god I can time it right, and they are open.Update: FINALLY connected- picked up some bourbon whiskey TOGO - they have a really small bar area, that appears to do cocktails and tasting; but didn’t partake. Staff was friendly. In and out very quickly. Bourbon was pretty good- wife prefers cocktails over straight bourbon, so may try to go back and check out the mixed drinks once things calm down a little.

We stopped in on our road trip and we were blown away by the phenomenal hospitality of the staff. Amanda and Eric were absolutely incredible and guided us through all the many spirits of the store. My boyfriend tends to over-share so I give them even more credit😆. The flight included so many spirits that it was hard to keep track (but I’m not complaining😆). The flight was well worth the money considering the complexity and process of the intricate craft. We particularly liked and appreciated the uniqueness of the coffee liquor and the dragon tail honey habanero whiskey. I would also add that I appreciated their safety precautions for COVID-19. We were able to experience the shop while maintaining a distance and mask-equipped due to their safe policies as per CDC recommendations. If we lived closer, we’d come to this place often!

Loved Knox Whiskey Works! We visited 6/22/19 and had a 4 oclock tour. We were in the area to fish and my friend wanted a distillery tour. I had little interest, but booked this for his enjoyment. Well, to my surprise I loved the tour and my friend loved the whiskey, with Dragon Tail being a favorite. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I highly recommend scheduling a tour or visit.

Great small spot. I took a group of co-workers here as a team building event. This ended up being one of the best tours Ive done. From the science down to the humor, truly a good time. While we were there, they got completely swamped with people. The guide/bar tender did everything he could to attend to everyone. I will be going back in the near future to buy a few more bottles and have a few drinks at their bar. Well worth the time.

We did our tour on 06/15 @ 6p. It was totally awesome!! The staff was very and the sampling was very tasty. My favorite flavor was the coffee liquor which I purchased. Thank you for great customer service and excellent customer service.

I ended up stopping here on a road trip due to a long traffic jam. I decided to stay the night in Knoxville and googled whiskey and this place came up. Wow am I glad I discovered it! Got a one on one tour of the small craft distillery, and learned quite a bit about how to make spirits from the super friendly host. The whiskey is really truly great tasting. The coffee liqueur is good too. Now this is the surprise for me. I hate gin! Well, at least I did before I tasted the Jackson Ave GIN. This stuff is delicious! I ended up buying a mixed case and shared some with some friends .... and ended up getting more orders for my trip back. I used to only be a whiskey girl, but I think Im going to have to add Knox whiskey works Jackson Avenue Gin to my regular repertoire. The herbal flavors are amazing and it makes for such unique cocktails. Please support this small business!

From the time we walked in to the time we left our experience was phenomenal! Ashley was the tour guide & Collin & (I think) Johnathon were there, also, and they were a lot of fun. They enjoyed answering the questions and were just all around hospitable. Im not a big alcohol drinker, but I tried some of the stuff, I liked the Tennessee tailgate orange vodka... even though Im a Bulldog fan, but I kept my mouth shut, ha ha. Id go back just for the entertaining employees there, they were a lot of fun! The only thing Id say is that maybe have some chairs out to sit in.

Wife and I stopped in to look around. Got a flight and two cocktails (Alaska and Sombrero). Vodka is nice and clean. Heirloom corn is great on the aroma and smooth as can be. Gin is unexpectedly excellent. Heavy on the herbal notes and would make an excellent gin and tonic. Cold brewed coffee liqueur is superb. Smooth and rich - bought a bottle as a gift (only available at the distillery). Barrel aged product in process. Cocktails rotate to showcase the alcohol available. Nice pours and the host was great. Well certainly stop back in!

Great experience! Everything I tried was great, I was really impressed with the Three Rivers Rum, I’m really more of a whiskey/bourbon guy but the Rum was great! I recommend trying their specialty cocktails - very good.

Where else can you find whiskey made from non-gmo heirloom corn gown by Tennessee farmers?You cant get much more local than this! I use their bourbon to make the best vanilla I have ever tasted.

Our experience was fantastic! My fiancé and I decided to check this place out while visiting Knoxville because...well...Tennessee and whiskey, right?They have their own parking lot which does matter for out of towners, especially those who bought tickets to a tour and showed up 3 minutes before it started.The tour price and flight prices are excellent. Best $10 ever spent. The tour itself is more like a comedic chat. You see the steel and barrels and learn a lot but you might actually walk 15 feet total.Both the tour guide (Colin) and the bartender (tall, charismatic, gin drinker) were personable and helpful. I particularly appreciated how knowledgeable the bartender was both about the products he’s serving and the area.It was fun! Great atmosphere. Smaller than I imagined but that was a plus. I’d love to go again!

During our first time to Knoxville while driving around with no plans, we pass Knox Whiskey Works. My husband said Well come back later. Being the whiskey lover he is, I was very thrown off. I convinced him to stop by, boy what a wonderful idea that was! Upon entering I knew I wanted to stay a while. The staff there was amazing, the liquor there is something alone that makes me want to move to Knoxville. This was literally our first stop in town and it couldnt have been better. I highly recommend it.

The distillery was very clean and the atmosphere was chill. However, our customer service, or rather lack thereof, was not a good experience. I guess you have to pay for the tour for the employees to be friendly and talk to you? My friends and I stopped here on our road trip and were a little disappointed by the offput air behind the counter. Despite this, we asked a couple of questions to decide what we should buy. I WILL praise the spirits distilled here.. the cold city old brew coffee liqueur is phenomenal. Sucks the experience didn’t match the product.
