Ordered and purchased 8 outdoor lights. All went well. Took a long time to come in, but Covid times. Loved the lights and decided to replace all of our outdoor lights to match. Called and ordered 6 wall and 1 post light. Was told it would be 7 to 10 days, they were in stock.Called to check on the order after 2 weeks. Was told they had the wall lights, but the post light was in transit still. After a week of daily calls, the post light was in. We drove the hour to pick up. Oops. only the post light???? Sales woman could find no record of an order for the wall lights. She did not take any responsability for the mistake. Argued with me that no order had been placed. Tried to blame receptionist.I ended up ordering them online from their lobby from a different store for a significant savings to be delivered to my home. I will be watching for a charge on my credit card because I am pretty sure the lights I ordered are there somewhere.

Went to Stokes to look at lighting for my home. Also i was looking for lighting for a home i bought to remodel and sale. Stokes lighting has a huge variety to choose from. Moderate pricing all the way up to high end pricing. Something for every size wallet. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

My experience is with the sales counter staff, rather than the show room staff. I have been purchasing supplies from Stokes since 1995. Whenever I have had questions about products or installation the staff have been patient and helpful. I always feel like my modest, infrequent purchases are just as important as the big orders they get from full-time building professionals. I keep going back because of the quality of the customer service.

Honestly, could not recommend this place any less. We had our home custom built, picked out lighting for our bathrooms and come to find out after installation that one of the fixtures was backordered. Did they bother to tell us, the builder, the realtor etc at all? No, the realtor found out as she was walking around the house prior to inspection and saw one lightbulb sticking out, which was necessary to pass inspection. The fixture is backordered until who knows when, and they don’t even know if the fixture will come in at all... so my husband go in to have them all replaced because who wouldn’t want matching light fixtures in the bathroom? Well the lady tells us that we cannot exchange the fixtures that were installed because they “cannot be sold”. Not only that but they installed the completely wrong light kit on our fans, when we were very specific about which ones we wanted, and now we are supposed to wait until the other backordered fixtures come in for them to change a mistake that they made, which could mean several months. To top it off, nobody has returned our numerous calls, even the builder and the realtor have called and nothing, it has been two weeks. Absolutely ridiculous, stay away.
