This is a great place to shop firearms. The people are very personable and knowledgeable. The prices are comparable. The have a lot of great pieces you wont find anywhere else in town. Harveys always has AMMO on hand. And the Marriage Saver layaway plan is unmatched anywhere.Plus, I just love visiting with all the cool toys.

GREAT FIRST IMPRESSION ! While in search of a SB Tactical AR pistol brace I found Harveys. Bought my AR brace at a competitive price and enjoyed talking to the folks working there. THE biggest complaint I have about local gun shops is they tend not to be friendly. I dont like feeling like I am bothering them if I ask a question. I get it. Having never been to the store as I live out of state I cant comment on that aspect. I have purchased a few firearms from them recently and they are awesome! Very friendly, quick to respond to emails, phone calls, fb messenger and any other way I have reached out to them. The explained their process for shipping/transfers and gave realistic and surprisingly quick shipping. Couldnt be happier with my experience! Will definitely continue to be a customer of theirs!!

Ive utilized their layaway program several times, Ive currently got 4 more pieces on layaway. They have also been friendly and easy to deal with, their sales are usually very good value. Ive referred a couple of of my friends to them, and those friends have sent several of their friends. Will continue to use them as long as they have the marriage saver!

It’s a good local store with Facebook auctions. Sometimes they are a little expensive. Selection seems to have been drastically reduced over time (probably due to covid). Customer service is okay, kinda rude but not enough to avoid purchasing from them.

Terrible customer service! The guy who worked there behind the shelves where the guns and weapons are held was very rude and impolite! He was very insencere and failed to answer any of my questions. He also tried to coerce me into buying a gun. Thats when I immediately left the store. I ran out the door.

This used to be a great place to get guns and ammo. Not anymore. They’re price gouging like you wouldn’t believe. I work in the firearm industry, so I know prices, and they are marking things up to 300% over retail. For example, a box of 150 Winchester 5.56mm range ammo is $74.99 (in this ammo crisis at least. Normally $53.99) from an honest dealer. Harvey’s is charging $199.99. I want to support my local businesses more than anything, but not when they are taking advantage of us like this store is.

Giving it five stars for more than one reason, but mainly the staff. Especially certain members who, despite being under a lot of stress over the past few months, have treated me with respect and fairness. I do have my favorites here, but have NEVER seen anyone treated poorly.Customer service is what really makes a business, and unless you are just one of those folks looking to be offended(because you WILL have to wait for service some times, as they are busy as hell) this place will take care of you.Thanks to the staff! I have traded with Harveys several times. I saw a few of the complaints and while I never experienced anything but good service at competitive prices, one thing I do agree with is nobody greats me when I walk in..But I think it is because they are all slammed busy taking care of people. So I dont care much about not being greeted when I walk in. What I do care about is good prices, good selection and good service during the sale. This place checks all 3 boxes in my onion and its why I make the 150 mile round trip when its time to buy a new toy...

Made my first trip to Harveys today. Very friendly and patient staff. Very informative and no pressure at all. Bought a pistol and some ammo at a great price and it took no more than 30 - 40 minutes from start to finish. I will definitely be back to purchase one for my wife in the near future.

They will provide you with options that help, aid, and assist you so to not leave with buyers remorse.Unfortunately, most pawn establishments in the Knoxville area have employees that are rude, condescending, and look to take advantage of the customer as soon as they walk through their door. Harveys is a facility where customers come first.Relative to gold, Harveys has the most wonderful lady to serve your gold sales. Martha is honest, fun to talk with, smart, and owns common sense and good reason. Nicer pieces may present point offers sometimes rather than melt. John David and Eric are great to work with. The ladies that check you out, complete your background check or collect your lay away monthly payments are awesome.

Great experience here with them. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. It feels very safe being inside as well because everyone open carries. We sold them one of our guns and they gave us an incredible deal on it. Super happy and can’t wait to come back and do business with them.

No one greeted me when i walked in the door I actually took it upon myself to say Hello. I have no issue with the selection of weapons they have to choose from its actually set up and displayed well. As far as customer service, this company will only speak with you if your only interest is spending money; when it should be finding the correct gun to fit the buyer. I would have loved to do business with Harveys Pistol & Pawn i actually had money in my pocket to purchase a weapon if i could have just gotten a little assistance.

Bought several things from here but recently had a Sig p320 in lay a way called to make a payment and was told I was late and would have to pay a ten dollar late fee ok no problem but then was told I would have to pay 2 payments since it was due again the next week. She wouldnt let me pay one then call the next week she wanted both payments that day. They got me for 50 dollars . I have something I am picking up today and then I am done with them. They lost a good customer.

I like to buy from small, local businesses when I can instead of supporting the big box stores. Nothing against places like Academy or Gander Mountain, I just find that the smaller stores offer better service, with the added benefit that my money goes back into the community. Most of the time I am willing to pay a little extra for those reasons.But Harveys consistently beats nearly every other price out there, even Academy and Buds. And I mean they do it every single time!So I get the individual attention I like from the local stores, and prices that beat the big chains. Yeah, thats win/win.Go see John, Summer, and the rest of the good folks at Harveys if youre in the market for a new firearm. Youll almost certainly spend less than you will anywhere else while also helping out local businesses.

Bought a Riley defense pak 47 brand new in box. Took it out when I got home and there was carbon build up on the gas tube and scuffs down the side. Messaged harvey on facebook and he said to bring it in and theyd help me out with it. When I took it in they said they wont do anything for me. Wont be going back in except to finish the one lay a way i have left. Started ho to crossroads on broadway, they say they get this complaint from Harveys often.

I wanna like this place I really do. But one employee there ruins it. Has ZERO care to look up firearms, to get prices and acts like I should know everything. I have wanted two rifles and walked out both times due to this guy. I asked to speak to the owner from two of the girls. They gave me his number. I tried in store and was told he wasnt there. So I called his number from my car and was placed on hold said he was on another line so infact he was there and also had no time to speak to me. So they lied. I left them my number and was told within ten minutes he would return my call. Nope, no return call. What happened to the mom & pop shops these days. Well after all this is called a pawn shop and that alone speaks for itself. Harveys you have lost a customer and I told 4 people NOT to go there. I will continue over and over and over to tell others the same.

I stopped in for first time today and was very surprised. did not expect such a big selection of guns and supplies. place was packed since close to christmas and yet staff was nice even though had like 20 people waiting for background checks and more coming in. just stopped to check it out ended up buying a s&w shield and great deal! bonus sold my used gun and david gave me a fair price and very nice. i will be back in future. family type atmosphere which is nice. thanks.

I called to pay on lay away. they told me my lay away had been foreclosed on due to missing a payment back in March. this is after I made a payment in may! they had no problem taking my money in may, but now wont in August. a courtesy call wouldve been nice before closing it out! the guy explains they have 1000s of customers & have no time to call but they have time to foreclose on a repeat customer. well, you just lost a customer out of your 1000s! bad business & even though Ive bought several Guns from Harveys Ill never buy again. Guess this is what I get for buying from a pawn shop & not just a gun store .lesson learned .

Wanted to buy a Taurus PT111 G2 saw this pistol for $269.00 at Harveys Pistol and pawn. Had business in Knoxville so I visited Harveys. I asked the young lady behind the counter about the Taurus I stated that it was $269.00 she stated no its $239.00 I bought the gun. Good service and nice personnel. I have bought a couple of high end guns there. I went in yesterday and looked at a rifle that had a tag tied to it that said 999.00, when I started to buy the weapon, I was told that it was tagged wrong and the price would be 1199.00 if I wanted to purchase it. I told the clerk that is illegal to tag something and not sell it at that price. I will be reporting them to the BBB and theyve lost a customer that may have purchased future firearms from there establishment.BUYER BEWARE

Went in looking at pistols approached asked if needing help told them i was just looking while i was looking another man was being helped asked for price difference between guns not knowing much about the gun he was asking the question about(much higher end). The younger man helping him answered his question very rudely and was getting smart with customer, then he asked me for second time and told him what i was looking for, specifically he brought up another firearm and acted as if i couldnt afford it.Needless to say i walked out but the customer beside me stayed after being insulted and bought a gun from them.why? There are many gun shops that are respectful and polite.This might have been a disgruntled employee if so i highly recommend teaching about customer service. The selection of firearms was very good although a little more lighting would help! I hope This was a one time situation thats whyIam giving 2 star if i decide to go back,and if my experience is better i will up date.

Its not illegal to accidentally tag an item wrong and then correct the price. It happens all the time. A merchant dose not have to sell it at the accidental price.You shouldnt put this store down just because you wanted a hundred dollar discount. Whoever wrote that is an idiot.
