What a neat visitor center! I think it’s the coolest one I’ve ever been to - with a performance area and a band was about to play! The gift shop had a lot of interesting and quality items. The staff was super friendly and helpful about what to see that’s within walking distance. They had a decent selection of brochures as well. This should be your first stop!

Very friendly polite, knowledgeable staff. Although, I was told that there was little to no construction in Knoxville TN, then when I showed up to the visitor center... there was construction right outside the building. The lady said (we never have construction around here, thats odd!! I ran into nothing but construction in the downtown area!! LOL!! Oh well. she was still knowledgeable and friendly in all other areas!! The Blue Plate Special Performances in the Visitor Center are awesome as well!!

My family had a great time visiting Eastern Tennessee and the Knoxville visitor center helped out. The staff inside was super helpful detailing attractions the our family would be interested in. It was a hot August day and we needed a splash area for the kids and we were directed to two of them. This space appears to be a small venue for various performances. The to hours free parking was a plus.

We made this a destination for the lunch hour live radio performance! Missed it the last time we were through - didnt want that to happen again. Two different performances - great place to start your Knoxville visit! It would be good if they coordinated a lunch truck, or lunch delivery option for the performance. Still - good destination!

Fun, fun town with a non-stuffy, blue-collar vibe. To me, university towns and railroad towns will always be intriguing, and Knoxville does not disappoint. Easy to learn the town and experience it in a weekend.

As a first time visitor to Knoxville, this place is the best place to go for information about what to do in and around Knoxville. They have a parking lot next to the building so park in that lot and go inside for a complimentary parking pass while you gather your information. The staff is very knowledgeable so dont be afraid to ask any questions you may have.

Stopped in Knoxville for the first time last week to grab dinner while passing through. Saw a parking lot with a sandwich board sign that read $2 parking 7AM-7PM and so we parked there assuming it was free after those hours (since most parking lots are) and when we returned from dinner less than an hour later we had two boots on the car. It cost $75 to remove them--which is absolutely absurd. No parking ticket but two boots. The city of Knoxville should find a better way to treat their visitors and residents instead of allowing a scammy parking company (Premier Parking Enforcement) to dissuade people from visiting or going downtown.
