My children both go to this location. Everyone is very nice,and when I have to order replacement glasses for my youngest, I get them quickly! I would recommend going here to anyone.

My wife, Brenda, has Parkinsons Disease. Over the years we have had many eye test for her but never one as complete as the one she had at Volunteer Eyecare.We could tell they were truly trying to find a solution to her ongoing eye problems. Very professional. Very thorough. They made sure they sanitized everything. They schedule enough time between appointments so that they have plenty of time to spend with you, as a patient, however. May glasses were ready exactly when they said they would be and pickup literally took 5 minutes. I will definitely continue to use them.

Had my first appointment last week with Dr. V. Long and staff. The appointment was thorough, fast, and friendly.I was awarded with my first prescription for glasses. They said it would take about 2 weeks, but I had them by the end of that same work week! Excellent people!

I have had 2 eye exams there now, and is almost time to schedule this years exam. They have treated me so wonderfully, I cannot imagine going anywhere else, even tho I have now moved an hour and a half away from the Chapman Hey location.

I had been hopping from one quickie vision center to another over the past several years bc my insurance had changed and my eye doctor that i had been seeing for years did not take it. Anyway, the last few prescriptions I had gotten were just wrong and these quick vision centers just didnt care. I was tired of paying all this money every year and not being able to see clearly. So,I went on a mission to find myself a good long term eye doctor. WELL, I think Ive found her with Volunteer Eyecare on Chapman Highway. I saw Dr. Long who was awesome. She took her time, thoroughly explained things and answered all my questions. The staff was great too, courteous and kind. I am now seeing great and am very pleased with my whole experience. I would definitely recommend seeing Volunteer Eyecare for all your eyecare needs.

I am 21, and this was my first time going to an eye appointment with my own insurance through my employer. It couldn’t have gone smoother. I set up my appointment over the phone in about 5 minutes, showed up early to my appointment to fill out paperwork and was seen right away. I saw Dr. Poveromo who was very kind and knowledgeable, and the rest of the staff was extremely sweet as well.

I ran out of contacts and didnt plan ahead on my yearly appointment needed to renew my prescription. Volunteer Eyecare fit me in the same day and gave me a great consultation, along with ordering new contacts for me. Im very pleased with the service and plan to make this my primary optometrist. Dr. Hesse and her team are awesome!

As usual VOLUNTEER OPTICAL on Chapman saves the day again.. I broke my Chemistries last week while visiting a client at the Jail.. and knowing I drive a lot.. and the next day they fixed them on the spot Ive been spoiled since last January when I walked in with what had once been nice glasses but over the course of years had been reduced to what amounted to a monocle.. 3 weeks they said on my new ones.. and in 3 days I had new glasses and chemistries.. ( Highly recommend Chemistries too.. they are magnetic sunglasses and attach to your main frame without looking like those clip ons Granny used to wear .. folks are always amazed when I pull them off and they are so super convenient. Wont go anywhere else.

I was able to schedule my kids appointment for the following week. Even through the Covid crisis they were so great and helpful. Clean environment and very nice people!

These reviews must be from people with insurance that are not affected by the price. I received the bate and switch treatment. $ 100 for a pair of glasses with the diagnostic for new customers. The diagnostic was friendly and thorough. The frames and front desk not so much. In the end I ended up paying $ 350 for a single lens (low grade of frames) glasses. I was advised that I should get the progressive lens - so I trusted the recommendation and paid the extra money. Then when I couldnt handle the progressive they took those glasses back and gave me a single lens. The new glasses did the job for reading. The problem is I still need progressives. (I think). They should have not taken my progressives. Now 6 months later when feeling the need for progressive glasses in the class room they want me to start over and pay them the $ 350 for the LOWER GRADE - Limited Selection of frames glasses. Hmmm... just not feeling like this is a fair trade. Customer service does not care ! Its a shame - Good Diagnostics - Not so good in the frames and customer satisfaction area!

If you need surgery such as glaucoma lens replacement that is beyond their office practice, they will refer you to Top area surgeons, and actively follow your progress, not just hand you off.

I visited the office at Chapman Highway. The office staff were friendly and efficient. The doctor I had was excellent. He really cared about making sure I got the best prescription for my eyes. He spent probably 45 minutes just trying to figure out the correct strength for my eyes.I used to see Dr Bizers Vision World in the West Town Mall in Knoxville. No more! I will stick with Volunteer Eyecare now. They actually wanted me to have the proper care for my eyes, not just to make a sale regardless of whether the strength was right.

Smooth process from appointment, to prescription, to delivery of glasses. Had a minor issue with my prescription, and needed it adjusted, and the doc had a 15-20 minute appointment with me, just to insure that everything was exactly what I needed, and didnt charge me for the appointment.Long story short, its a good bunch of folks there.

This is the only eye care place Ive went to other than the eye vision care at walmart and i was very happy with the way they treated me, especially since I lost my brand new anti-glare glasses and they were very respectful when i called to order new ones again!! Very nice people!

The doctor I saw was very nice, competent, and explained everything. He gave me a more thorough examination than the big opthamology practice I had been seeing. The big practice had given the wrong prescription and he understood and made sure my prescription was correct. They have a large supply of frames.

Dr. Hesse provided the most thorough eye exam I have ever had, though neither it nor the contacts I purchased were any more expensive than they were at previous providers. Actually, with my my insurance and a rebate, they were less expensive than previous providers.
