Fantastic shop. Two stores in one !! Vintage toys, games, books, movie poster, and more. Large selection of new and used records (LPs & 45s). Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. A must vist shop if you are passing through Knoxville or you live here. Recommended 100%.

Just a heads up, this place is requiring masks again. Doesnt matter if you are vaccinated I guess. Not a very welcoming attitude. I wont visit anymore until they lift the requirement. That being said, the selection is decent, if not priced a smidge on the high side compared to a couple of the other stores in town.

Excellent selection and customer service. Records are priced fairly and in great or new condition. I appreciate how genres / themes are categorized and organized, this made finding what I was looking for easy! The hunt was SO fun, it was difficult choosing just a few. I highly recommend Raven Records & Rarities.

This place has all the music you loved all your life. Albums galore. Great place to spend a Saturday afternoon.

This place had a tremendous selection of rock and metal albums. The indie music selection was pretty vast and eclectic. The staff was knowledgeable and offered suggestions in new artists or similar artists. The organization was not the best in the not rock/pop selections. But, it was a must stop for us.

When I think of record stores, this place comes to mind. Rarities and limited edition records with classic novalities mixed in as well.It was a slow Saturday afternoon when we stopped in. We were in town from the Tricities area, on a weekend getaway.This record store has every. Single. Genre. You want. Prices are fair, majority of the records looked new, never opened originals, for the older artists. We are collectors who always look for a bargin and we found a few, and a few more we passed up due to not wanting to spend too much.The lady at the register was friendly and the atmosphere was inviting. I could have stayed much longer than the 30 minutes we were there. Parking is limited in the back, so be mindful of that at.Overall a great experience and hope to come back soon.

I always enjoy browsing here. They have a great collection of records to flip through. Their scorers and soundtracks are interesting. They have a great poster collection full of b movies and other not quite so popular selections that would be otherwise hard to find. If you need horror character merchandiser, they might have it here. They have a number of McFarlane toys and classic Universal Monster toys that are awesome.

Awesome record store well organized. Im up from Nashville to see my daughter in a play. We went 3 record stores and Raven Records blew the others away by far. I had a great experience. There is a Woman, probably the owner that was running things and she is very knowledgeable. If shes not the owner then whoever is should pay her alot more $$$$$$. Very delightful personality and very professional. I was really impressed. One of the other stores the employee talked to her mother loud so everyone could hear her and that was extremely annoying and unprofessional. The big winner of the day was Raven Records and the whole vibe. Loved my visit there my daughter and her partner and myself bought over $50 of great vinyl. Ill be back!!

Great selection of records , owner is very nice and helpful a true gem of a shop

Raven records is a hip little spot in what was described to me as the old downtown area. There seems to have been a bit or construction recently but the businesses down in this area seem like they have been there a while. The shop looks a bit dated but they have a little bit or everything. One cool thing I saw was vintage movie posters, the real deal. The vinyl records area is kind of small but well organized. The definitely lean more towards classic rock but they have a new to store section that is worth a browse. I can never seem to find anything to buy in here but Im glad its in the location it is in and I will come back on a dry day to purchase a movie poster. They also have vintage toys, vintage ephemora like magazines and some listening gear scattered throughout. If you are in the area its worth it to stop by and see what is in stock.

Absolutely wonderful place a little nook hidden away but a treasure for sure. Rather your end of vinyl records or comic posters comics figures figurines old books unique items theres a little bit of everything and a whole lot of it is great... Amazing great prices for what the store has.

Awesome store. Amazing record selection and a great selection of nostalgia items, including tons of original movie posters. The stock seems to change consistently, too, so I always find cool new stuff when I go in. Fun place and fair prices.

Raven Records has been peddling music to Knoxvillians for around 40 years. Current conditions have created a cause for making a reservation for in-store shopping, which assures a safe and comfortable environment for the shoppers and the shop owners.

They are currently open by appointment only due to Covid. You must make an appointment by calling or their book now button on their Facebook page and appointments are only available Friday, Saturday and Sunday

The owners are very friendly, every time Ive been in the store Ive heard something playing that Im unfamiliar with, asked who it is and bought the record. If they dont have something Im looking for theyll recommend another local store. One of the best record stores in east Tennessee and they always have a great selection of industrial records.

I was going to be in the area, and ahead of time, I mapped out a few well-established record shops that looked like theyd have some good prices.Im the collector that avoids newer shops because they tend to specialize in re-releases and price their used collection at what I call antique store prices. Im glad I stopped in Raven Records & Rarities! If youre looking for 70s and 80s music, like I tend to, youll like it. Well organized, and plenty of bargains. Full disclosure: I wrote almost the same exact review for two other shops in Knoxville.

One of the better record stores that have been to, and I have been to record stores all over the country. There is a good mix of genres and the records are priced very fairly for the condition. Most of the used vinyl was VG+ and those under that grade were in the cheap dollar bins. Not a huge store but has enough room. They also sell posters and some other music/movie related items.

Spend hours browsing an incredible collection of records, which are very well organized. Back issue and used comics for cheap with some real gems if youre diligent. Novelties and collectibles too. Check it out, especially if your a classic horror fan, looking for that one record, or just need a dose of music/pulp culture indulgence!

I love this store, great selection of records of youre into those. Amazing toy selection especially if you like the Universal Monsters. He also has posters, books, and Funko Pops. Great place to visit!

Hey jerks update your website. Says you open at 10am. I drove two hours to get here for your opening as I have a long trip today and the darn door says you open at noon. I dont appreciate it one bit. Folks they open at NOON not 10am. Information which would have been of great benefit to me.

I love this place they have a lot of old collectable toys and action figures. Plus a great selection of vinyls.

A great selection of rare Warren titles, 1960s - 80s toys and collectables, plus hard to find VHS, laser disc and soundtrack LPs. The selection of vinyl is excellent with a great mix of new and used rock, punk and indie. Theres so much here its a little overwhelming, but well worth your time. Not a one time only type of place, needs several visits to get the full experience!

Good prog selection, but older guy treats you like your stealing the whole time and just one of those typical crotchety old guys who make just browsing unenjoyable on top of that most of the stuff has eBay prices. I would rather WAIT for when Basement records gets in what I want for considerably less in price and great customer service.

Raven Records is such a great place to find not only classic records, but modern releases that are not easy to find. Come prepared to stay a long time because the selection is that good.

Without question my favorite record store in town. Cool atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and an absolute ocean of crates a vinyl nerd could spend an entire day flipping thru.

The store is really well set up, and I dig the oragnization. If youre an audiophile youre bound to find something that you will like. The selection is great and you will find tons of collectors treasures....however, you will pay collector price.Its a small business providing to a niche market so its hard to fault them on the pricing. On the other hand though it is equally hard to justify spending $20+ on a Vinyl that you are likely to find cheaper on the internet or at another local competitor.Either way the store has a nice location, the dude who owns it is very nice and knowledgable of his products, and every record you buy is going to be of good quality. so in the end its worth checking out atleast once.
