Rice is a little far from my home, but I keep going back because they have the best Service Dept. around! I am happy they have straightened out their scheduling as well. Even with the short staffing everywhere, they got me in and out in a timely manner. Teresa and Roger are very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you may have. I have been very pleased with the many services Ive had done on my car and would recommend them wholeheartedly!

We found our vehicle through the website and it was extremely easy to purchase. The vehicle was in Spring Hill at the factory and we were kept in the loop for delivery. I needed to leave TN for an out of state family emergency, and Rice was willing to offer a loaner vehicle. Luckily my vehicle came in just in time. They worked hard to apply my protective sprays & spent time going over the numerous features on the vehicle. I love my new vehicle and cant wait to purchase from Rice again!!

Needed to start the repair process for a safety recall on my Buick LaCrosse. Service writer was able to look up the VIN number, very that parts for the recall were available, & placed an order for the parts. The service department will call when the parts come in and then we can schedule a date to have the gar repaired per the recall.Other Buick/GMC dealers service department in town never answered the phone. being recent transplant from the Chicago area, I was very happy with the initial contact i made with Rice Buick/GMC.

Do not recommend. Went to buy my sister a car, asked strictly to only run my credit once though one certain bank we only deal with. They continue to run my stuff through multiple banks without asking. I wouldn’t mind normally. But when your trying to buy a house in the next couple of years it’s important. I also heard the finance guy laugh when we denied what he offered. I didn’t much care for our sales person either. I found him rude myself. Honestly, the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. Would rather take my business any where else.

As soon as I arrived I was greeted at my vehicle. The service advisor informed me that it would take approximately 2 hours for the work to be completed. I waited in the waiting room and after a hour my vehicle was ready. Fast and professional service. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I brought my truck in again concerning the 8 Speed transmission shifting and vibration issue. Service writer intake could have been better this time but they took it in and re-diagnosed it with no significant findings other than these seem to be a characteristic of the 8 Speed auto trans. The service manager did a good job of explaining that it was ok to drive and reassured me that it wasnt going to break down on me, I just need to drive it more and see how it goes, my truck only has a little over 12,000 miles on it. I dealt with Mark Beason when it was in the time before and they changed the fluid over to the synthetic fluid, and he did a good job of listening to my concerns and getting it back in for this evaluation. So far the service dept has done a great job of taking care of my truck, although sometimes it has taken a while to get an appointment but other than that Im happy with the service Ive received.

I havent been in a dealership in almost 16 years. I talked to a salesman over the phone the day before going about what I was looking for and inventory. He was knowledgeable on trucks being delivered. The next morning I was there when they opened and met with the salesman I had spoke to the previous evening. Very nice gentleman. No pushing. Answered all my questions. Within an hour I was the owner of what I wanted. It took longer to do the walkaround than to actually buy my truck. A good experience and if I ever buy/upgrade my truck Ill definitely shop at Rice again.

I only gave a 1 star because I cant give anything lower. I bought a used truck from Rice Buick GMC less than 8 months ago and both front tires have abnormal inside tire wear to the point that both tires went flat (the tires where new when I purchased the truck).The service manager, who is great, immediately said that they would cover the cost of the tires, unfortunately the used car manager declined that responsibility. I was initially told by the used car manager that they could not cover any of the cost since it was a used car and already sold. Anyone who knows anything about vehicles knows that inside tire wear of this extent is not an indicator of aggressive or bad driving, but is a direct indicator that there is an issue with the vehicle itself. After arguing for 30 minutes I was told that the owner offered to pay for one tire, but not two, once again because they cant tell how the vehicle has been driven since sold. . I do not recommend that anyone do business with this dealer as they will sell you a lemon and then blame you if something is wrong with the vehicle you purchased. Terrible management and terrible service from the used car manager.

If you make appointments with service dont plan on getting it done that day... dropped it off at 6am for oil change tire rotation and warranty work got back at 4pm to get it and they barely got the maintenance done. Of course they didnt get to the warranty work... made another appointment with them called them Friday to confirm told me theyd see me Tuesday morn get there and they told me it was supposed to be for Monday. Dont waste your time...

Had a scheduled appointment for the morning. Never heard anything from them so I called them around 2:30pm to get an update. I was told that they would find out whats going on and call me back. I called back after One hour of waiting. I was told they probably could not get to it today. I told them that I use my truck every day. I needed it and could not go two days with out it. I talked to a manager and he told me then I should have rented a truck from enterprise. So needless to say I got upset. He told me there was plenty of other companies that would service my truck. That I was not priority because I did not buy my vehicle there. I told him that I tried to buy my vehicle there. Unfortunately there was no stock to buy from there. I was mad and said somethings that I should not have said. I have never been treated by a manager like that before. I told him that the owner would like to know how he treated and talked to customers like that. He told me that he had worked for him for 25 years and the owner would believe him over me. Wow.......

So on my first visit, I had went to have my brakes checked out and to have a recall worked on for my 2021 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali. They had told me that they didn’t have the brakes in stock and had told me to call in a week to see if they have come in. So after doing that, I get scheduled a couple weeks away. Teresa had told me that it could be done the same day and that I wouldn’t need a loaner vehicle. Today I had a 9 AM appointment and called around 12:00 to see if they had any progress on when my vehicle would be done, and they told me that their technicians are out to lunch so they would call me back in 45 min to an hour. An hour and a half to two hours goes by and never received a call back. So, I decide to call again around 2:30 and talked to Matt to see the progress to see when I can get back so I can pick up my truck. He transfers me to someone else and never get anyone to answer the phone. So I get a ride over to them to ask In person what is going on and when it’s going to be ready today, and I was told that he is going to ask a technician. Very shortly he comes back and tells me they haven’t even brought it in and that it isn’t going to be ready till tomorrow. The reason for the one star review will be the fact that I was assured it would be done today and 3:00 comes and truck has not even been inspected. I hope a lesson comes from this as to have better communication and to do as you say you are going to do. I was told the reason it wasn’t inspected is due to shortage of help. I am completely understandable of that but it doesn’t take much to pick up the phone and call the customer and tell them the situation. Especially when I live over an hour away and getting a ride isn’t very possible at this point. PLEASE WORK ON COMMUNICATION!

Absolutely terrible. I went in for a single sensor to be replaced for a recall, and when I drove my car again there is a loud buzzing sound from the exhaust. Had absolutely no problems before but now I need $475 dollars in repairs.

Called the dealership for diagnostic maintance, was told they accepted my warrenty. I drove 45 min to be told they may not accept my warrenty and it was 120/hrly dollar diagnostic fee just to look at my car. This dealership is out to take your money amd provide horrible customer service.

I was late for my appointment, but the staff was very helpful. Service was okay. Suggestion: could you open the battery compartment and check the battery on the GMC Terrains. A few weeks after the service corrosion had so damaged the cable that it had to be replace and the area cleaned. The battery was ready to replace (6 years), but we could have avoided the cost of a new cable and cleaning. To my knowledge Rice alone has serviced the vehicle.

I began my purchase experience by speaking with Brian over email. He scheduled an appointment for me and took away a lot of my anxiety about going to a dealership. I was greeted with a smile when I walked in and not a bunch of guys trying to sell me a vehicle. That was great! Purchasing a new vehicle during a pandemic was a scenario we never imagined. Rice Buick-GMC made the process easy--my husband and I looked through photos and specifications for vehicles online before contacting the dealership. We knew pretty much exactly what we wanted. Marty worked with my husband to schedule an initial visit, then a test drive, and finally, the purchase, all within about a weeks time. The dealership offered a great rebate, added a military discount for his service, and accepted our trade-in. Our family is extremely happy with our new GMC Acadia. The Sales team at Rice pointed out a way we could afford a new 2021 GMC Acadia with all the options we were looking for. I originally went to Carmax, but after being told that every car I was looking at was “reserved for test drives” I left and came to Rice GMC. Definitely was dreading going to a car dealership but I was sorely mistaken. I worked with Bobby, and everyone there was beyond friendly and not once did I feel pressured or harassed like most car dealerships make you feel. Finance guy was also super great, no high pressure sales tactics or pushy warranties and upgrade packages. I felt like I got a fair trade value on my F150 and an even better deal on my new GMC Acadia. I have always been a die hard Toyota and Ford customer, but I may be seeing a lot more GMC vehicles in my future.

Update 3/31/2021Took car back (8:00am) again because they ordered incorrect part. I ask service writer how long repair will take so I can decide if I should have my wife pick me up, she says a few hours it will be done in the afternoon so I wake wife up to come get me. An hour later as my wife is arriving she tells me car is done! No improvement original post stands.Original review:The service department at this dealer is poor at best. Everytime I take a vehicle to them they do a an incomplete job or dont complete items requested. Couple that with service writers who dont seem to know their job and you get 1 star. I started using West Chevrolet for my Acadia and the service experience is professional and complete. Yes I have talked to the managers about my past experiences but nothing seems to have changed in the last few years.

Went in to look at a used truck. Wasnt really planning on buying yet, but thats before I talked to Gary Dean. He was extremely nice and not pushy at all. I test drove and decided to let him see what they could do. They gave me a price including my trade. It was way over what I could do. Thats when they started working their magic. They were very willing to make a deal. We both worked together to get to a price that was acceptable. Then they went to finance, and at first, the interest rate was too high and I couldnt afford that payment. Thats when the finance manager now worked his magic, and found another bank willing to give a lower interest rate. Thank you all for your hard work. I am very happy with the entire team here. Great place to buy a vehicle.

Extremely disappointed. As a lifelong GM driver and Rice Buick GMC customer (my entire family has purchased cars, trucks, and SUVs here for 30 plus years) - sadly- today is the last time I will ever do business with this company. I have had to replace the AC compressor twice in my 2014 Chevy Silverado which has under 75,000 miles. This has cost me north of $2,000. The second compressor was installed roughly two years ago and today I had to have it replaced for a second time. That’s three... THREE... compressors on a vehicle that just turned six years old. Rice Buick GMC deflected the issue to the manufacturer whom they represent, General Motors, and ultimately refused to right the situation. Their “best solution” was to take $100 off my bill bringing it to $820. The fact that the compressor needed to be replaced a second time is outrageous, and the fact that I was only given $100 or so dollars off is insulting. Today, Rice Buick GMC lost not only one, but an entire lineage of loyal customers.

If your looking for a car out of state and expect integrity and honesty when solidifying deal once agreement is made look elsewhere. Had deal Saturday ( approved by salesman and sales manager) contingent upon pre purchase inspection. Agreement with salesman we would move forward first thing Monday morning as he was closing. Bill Francis was decent sales guy to deal with but clearly sales manager pulls all the strings behind the scenes with no moral compass. Must of gotten an offer through email Sunday from another buyer. Bill informed me a half hour before the dealership opened Monday that they have another buyer that does not require pre purchase inspection and with no hold on the car. When asked to speak to sales manager he cowardly avoided me and quickly worked deal with other buyer to sell the car within an hour after they opened. Find your vehicle elsewhere. Disappointing after choosing this dealer on customer reviews. - UPDATE To dealer response below. I was not given those options as responded by dealer below. Again, had an agreement to move forward Monday. I was not asked if I wanted to pay cash or remove the ppi (a reasonable request for buying a used vehicle) to match a new buyer. Only stated new buyer did not require ppi. Both options could of been considered. The Manager did not communicate with me to discuss as originally stated. Went for a quick sale vs. working with customer who worked with him on price. Is what it is, no worries finding a better/fair dealer. They need to cover themselves below. No moral compass. Be cautious when dealing with this dealership.

I have called twice now (separate occasions) to have my vehicle serviced and have been told both times not to bring my car in, and that the earliest appointment was 7+ days in the future. If my vehicle has an issue would you really expect me to drive around for 7+ days with said problem occurring? Horrible customer service. However, Twin City Buick GMC in Alcoa, just minutes down the road, has been able to squeeze me in the same day as calling BOTH times. I cannot stress enough how worth it is to just drive an extra 10 minutes to Alcoa. Plus, great mountain views from the lot!

Not impressed at all. The mechanics need to learn to wipe their greasy fingerprints off and to use fender protectors. My running boards and paint were literally covered in greasy prints. And the first red light I stopped at after leaving, oil smoke came boiling from beneath the hood, probably from oil spilled all over the engine. I would not recommend Rice for vehicle service at all !!

Took my diesel 2020 sierra in for oil change. During the service the technician refilled my DEF fluid. Once my truck was returned the trucks DEF sensor was showing and error poor DEF quality. This resulted in the vehicle having to be left at the dealer and returned to me 4 days later. In that time I was given a car to use and my truck was driven back to me once it had been fixed.

I made an appointment about 10 days out, to get my transmission checked and a recall item done. Upon arrival, the service rep told me they didn’t have anyone available that could help me with that. Then told me I would have to wait two or three weeks for another appointment when the right tech is on duty!Probably a blessing disguise, as I made an appointment with another nearby dealership and they have loaner cars available (unlike Rice apparently), in addition to easier appointment scheduling. I just moved from out of state and am in need of good vehicle service. I don’t want to start out like that!

So let get this straightYou buy tires here u get free tire rotation for life of tire on my other vehicle but if you buy a truck there you pay 60bucks fir rotation per 6000 miles and balance something not correct here ?

We had an appt at 9 am and we dropped it off at 9 am. They told my husband it would take an hour to run the diagnostics and then depending on what was found they Would go from there as to how long it took to fix. We did not hear from them so we went by at 1:15 pm and they had not touched the vehicle and said that they had a problem that it would be tomorrow bf they could get to our vehicle. Needless to say my husband chewed them out and took the car.I called and left two messages for the service manager and have never received a return phone call.
