This the second time that I have went here to get a tattoo by Ashley. She is a great artist and tattoo artist as well. I went here on a recommendation from a friend and I was not disappointed with the studio or Ashley. Here are the two that I had done at this tattoo studio. When I get the urge to get another one this is the place I will be happy to go back to.

I would definitely recommend Dale at Mythical Markings. He is always professional, understanding, and always has a clean environment. He always makes sure you are happy with your drawing before proceeding, and is understanding if you want to make changes. His tattoos always come out amazing and he always puts 100 % into every session to make sure you are happy. Great environment. Everyone that works there is amazing. They are always positive and welcoming! Highly recommended!

Amazing. This place is fantastic. Simply cannot go wrong. Jackie pierced my daith and she was so knowledgeable, comforting, and all around made the experience fantastic. I was so impressed, I had Grace pierce my cartilage the same day. Grace also went above and beyond, and she is going to make one hell of a piercer after she finishes her apprentice. All the while, my husband is getting a sleeve from Ashley, and she is fantastic. They are all clean, professional, fun, and stress free. A few friends and I went today to get lobe piercings and as soon as we walked in we felt right at home. The atmosphere there is very laid back, but they’re super professional and kind. Grace pierced my second and thirds today and oh my goodness she is fantastic. Her personality is great, made me feel so so so comfortable and welcomed, and just did a great job all together. Definitely will come back!

I called Mythical Markings on 8/8/21 on whim to get a few piercings. The lady (Grace) that answered the phone was very informative and very sweet. Due to one of the piercings that I was wanting to get, I had to speak with the piercer (Jacki) first. Jacki was very professional and informative as well. When I arrived at the shop, I was greeted by Grace and immediately felt right at home. The atmosphere at Mythical Markings is professional yet very laid back. I met with Jacki and told her what I wanted done and she accommodated me. Jacki told me to give her a few minutes to autoclave everything and while I was waiting, we talked and laughed. Jacki and Dale were both very professional during the piercings. I am beyond thrilled with all 4 of my piercings. I am so happy that I was able to find Mythical Markings. I will definitely be back for more body modification. Thank you again Mythical Markings for making me one happy lady!!!!

I went in today to get my ears pierced and had an amazing experience! Grace was very professional and ensured that both holes were even. Although I didn’t catch everyone’s name, the people I encountered were also professional and personable. We had fun talking while waiting for the jewelry to be sanitized and I never felt rushed out the door after we were done.The piercing itself was quick and pain was minimal. She made sure to go over all after care instructions with me and answered any questions before I left. I will definitely be going back for my next piercing soon and looking forward to booking some ink time too!

I had to go here after a botched piercing job at a different store. Not only was the staff here highly professional and friendly; they did their absolute best to make sure that my piercings were saved, that I wasn’t in pain, and also only charged me for the piercing jewelry. I really can’t recommend this place enough, I have never had a bad experience here and the staff is incredibly accommodating.

Absolutely amazing! The shop was very clean, and had just an overall nice appearance. I previously had my nose pierced by dale a few years back. My husband and I just had tattoos done by Christian. He was very clean and properly sanitized before, during, and after. Also the tattoos are beyond great and he was a very nice and easy person to talk to. Really enjoyed this experience and will definitely and from now on always go here :)

Jacki pierced my septum and it was one of the best experiences ive had at a tattoo shop. everyone was extremely sweet, comforting, and professional. i would most definitely come back here!!

Ive been looking for a piercing studio to go to in Knoxville for a while after being spoiled by going to an APP-certified piercer for so long, but I was not satisfied with the piercing I received. The environment and service were fine enough, and they were kind enough to allow for me to be pierced with a labret stud instead of the lobe jewelry with butterfly clips.My biggest concerns are in regards to their aftercare since many of the recommended aftercare directly contradicted what I had learned from my previous experiences going to an actual APP certified piercer for most of my prior piercings. Their aftercare recommendations are listed on their website, so I guess thats on me for not checking before going.Aside from care recommendations, my biggest issue was in regards to placement and angle of the piercing. I had my third lobes done, and the process itself was great, but there mustve been some miscommunication as to where on the dot the piercing was to be done after I had okay-ed the placement. It ended up far too close to my second lobes for me to wear the jewelry I was wanting to (I did communicate to them these plans) once it healed. Of the more than 10 piercings Ive had prior, this was the first that Ive just immediately taken out once I got home to let it heal up so I could try again. I did communicate this discontent with the owner, but all that could be offered was a discount towards future piercings.I was pierced by the apprentice, Grace, who did an amazing job and was very kind. While I was ultimately not satisfied with my piercing, its mostly in regards to the shop as a whole, which is out of your control.

Chris did this several weeks ago. I went into the shop with one idea and Chris drew something up for me. He quoted me a very reasonable price, so I set up an appointment. After sitting on the design, I wasnt sure I wanted to get it. Loved the design, but not feeling the concept I came up with. Contacted them and Chris was super easy to work with. He was cool enough to sit and design a new piece. The studio is super clean and Chris was very personable. Thanks! (And this was really affordable, significantly cheaper than the original quote).

I got my nostril piercing on 10/31/2020 and I absolutely love it!! The people are very friendly and put you at ease. Isaac did a fabulous job and also helped me decide if I wanted a stud or hoop first off. I will definitely be going back to them in the future for piercings or a tattoo.

Mystical Markings is the best in Knoxville. All the staff are very friendly, laid back atmosphere and their artist are top notch. These are my wife and I tattoo all done by Chris. These are all very personal tattoos to us especially the memorial tattoo when we lost one of our puppies. He took great care in understanding what kind of tattoo(s) we wanted each time and they turned out amazing.

I just got my tattoo from Isaac yesterday. Could not wait to get to work to show it off. Every one who saw it was, just as I was, completely blown away. My experience with Mythical Markings has been great. I am a bit of an overthinker and so I am always concerned when I bring an idea to a tattoo artist. I brought my idea to Dale during my consultation and he took notes and photos diligently documenting all the details I was explaining. He drafted exactly what I had in my head and I was promptly scheduled for two sessions. He was quite booked out but that is what I needed because I have a super crazy job. The time I scheduled was approximately two-three months out. Dale made me feel comfortable and offered breaks frequently throughout my 4 hour sessions. The entire shop is hospital clean and yet creates an environment that offers warmth. The staff is friendly and accommodating. You can book with confidence here with no fear of judgement. They have very talented artists that offer many styles of art. I have no doubt that whatever idea is brought to the table they would execute flawlessly.

I really loved this place until I found out that my tattoo artist had abruptly left. Isaac is super talented and conscientious with his work but sadly, he’s no longer there. He did 5 tats for me that turned out beautifully. When I called to make another appointment with him last Friday, a young girl answered the phone but wouldn’t give me any clue of how to get ahold of him. She was rude and very unprofessional. The shop has always been clean and friendly, but something’s changed there, so I won’t be going back because of management and (in my opinion) their best artist (Isaac) is no longer working there. Luckily, I had his number, called him directly, and had my tat done at his new place and it’s awesome as usual. I trust him and know his work. They shot themselves in the foot.

Edit: reaching out to me was very professional, even if it was after I left a review and 5 days after I reached out. So, that’s appreciated, however I will not be needing further services from you. I understand running a business can be crazy during times like these, but I didn’t hear anything back, not even an update, till after I left a one star review that “unfairly” hurt your image. Nevertheless, I’ll up to 3 stars, not for the pricing, or for the time frame as to which tattoos can be touched up (3 months ?) but because you were willing to help me out eventually. Thank you

Ive had 4 session with Isaac so far. Every session has started on time, and he has worked every minute of the time I pay for. His work is flawless, and his original designs are very creative. The shop it self is extremely clean with ample parking, with a great support staff. If you are thinking about any kind of body art, you cant go wrong here.

I have over 30 tattoos. All of them except 2 have been done by Dale Johnson. He is by far the best artest I know and lucky enough to have work done by. I recommend this business to everyone almost everyday. I have been going to Mythical Markings since they were further up in Knoxville past papermill and they have only become better. I promise you you get what you pay for. You want the 20 dollar trash tattoo then go somewhere else but nothing but quality comes from this studio. You will not be disappointed. And another positive note is I dont have hepatitis, so thats great!!! Clean and professional business for sure.

Not sure why I’m just now getting to writing a review- oh well. I got a tattoo around last December. It was a quote going around my wrist, like a bracelet. The artist Isaac did it, couldn’t be happier with the result, to this day. Place is very clean, very down to earth about everything going on, and not too expensive either. I won’t bash names, but another shop straight up said my tattoo idea couldn’t be done, after consulting with Mythical, they help me better my idea into a masterpiece. Highly recommend this awesome spot.

Having a crazy work schedule, its really hard for me to make appointments, so i called to inquire about getting help with my gauge upgrade and was able to get in within the hour. The ladies up front did not rush me, answered all of my questions, and were obviously knowledgeable about my piercing issue. Julie did my gauge increase, was awesome, made sure i was comfortable throughout the whole process. not experiencing too mush pain, ect. Julie properly sanitized everything including my ear jewelry. All of the Covid-19 protocols were followed to a T. Extremely clean place (which says a lot), and I am thinking about a future tattoo, and will definitely come back for more information on the tattoo Im interested in. Thanks!

Not only was he clean and hygienic with his tools, space and canvas but he was knowledgeable, professional, exetremly friendly, and listened to what I was asking for while giving needed information. Isaac is an amazing artist with a lot of talent in his use of colors, shading, and lines which he can produce not only realistic art as well as many other types. I would definitely and plan to go back to see Isaac. I received excellent service from the start and got to speak with Chris, Dale and Teejei about my tattoo, which was my first no less. Chris ended up having some excellent ideas and was super enthusiastic to be able to work with me and ended up working with me to take a drawing I brought in and turn it into an amazing piece of art. The facility is extremely clean and the atmosphere stays calm and familial as they work on you. Chris was also extremely compassionate, making sure that I didnt feel uncomfortable at all and even explaining some of the process to me!
