Food is great as always and service in general as well. My only gripe if any is the lackluster enforcement to this stark warning on the door. If the store was bigger with more space to move around it wouldnt concern me as much but given the tight closeness its hard to social distance all the time here. I continuously see people walk in when I come in without masks like its no big deal. Even see employees wear masks but have it hang below their nose, chin, or not at all. I wear masks all the time when come in there. I see someone who think is the manager even walk around with it around his chin each time there to. If not going to set an example for your customers then that note is meaningless. They see you not wearing them and think well ok its ok for me not to also.

We tried out The Little Store for the first time last week after driving by a few months ago in our new neighborhood and seeing this hidden gem, and we were not disappointed! We ordered a ravioli appetizer with a meatball sub and a chicken spiedini sandwich. The portions were HUGE and the price was on point. The taste was excellent and the food was prepared fresh after we ordered it. They even had a little cozy outdoor patio which made the experience even better.Two days later I was back to try the .99 cent pizza slices that were on Sunday special. I had a slice of pepperoni and a slice of cheese, and they were amazing. So glad we found this place. After living downtown and having access to these types of smaller unique shops that really go the extra mile, we were happy to find The Little Store in the sea of fast food up north. The staff is very friendly and were very nice answering my questions about the food and the history of the place. Looking forward to coming in for dinner for years to come.

I came in for the first time. Got the Saturday special. Chicken Spiedini sandwich with chips and a fountain drink. Got it home and opened it up. Good lord! The sandwich is huge! I cut it in half and still could barely eat one half. It was delicious though I must say. Ill be back.

Their Pizza is the best in town. High quality ingredients. I go there at least four times a week to get a slice. They also have a lot of other great food. Their chicken fettuccine is the best Ive ever had. Their pre-made dinners to go are super convenient for a high quality meal. Friendly staff and a small town family atmosphere make this place great.

All I Can Say Is WOW!Two times in the last couple of days on this forum I have seen other people post about price rite on northwest Waukomis. One of them was in regards to a meatball sub and the other was in regards to a BLT. Now I am well familiar with this place and its location because back in the 90s I drove by it every single day on my way to work at the airport. But in those days they werent serving cooked food most of it was beer and convenience store items. Not anymore!Not only do they have prepared food they also still have canned foods and beer and alcohol along with a whole lot of fresh vegetables. And to that add deli meats by the pound and a whole rack of pasta and a cooler full of other prepared food items.I ordered the Meat Ball Sub and you have no idea how glad I am that I did. As you can see by the pictures, they take about a 9 inch loaf of bread slice it down the middle, put in four meatballs, cover it with marinara sauce, pile on some cheese, and melt it all together! Incredible flavors! When you bite into the sandwich the first thing you notice is the freshness of the bread it is almost as if it was baked 5 minutes before they made the sandwich. Then you get the sweetness of the marinara and a taste off savory, light, fluffy well flavored meatball, followed by the ooey gooey cheese!The sub, a bag of ships, and a bottle of water set me back $7.99!

Great little shop with great pizza. A good selection of pre made. Sandwiches are fantastic too. Liquor, beer, and food, what more do you need!?

Family enjoyed the Friday special which was a meatball sub with chips and a drink.We also ordered garlic bread, a salad and Italian wontons. Everything was delicious, the portions were large and everything was very affordable.We are excited to try the biscuits and gravy and the pizza.This place is a gem. 💎

I have been here many times mostly on Saturdays. Me and my dad unusually come here some Saturday mornings to get breakfast burritos, and they are fantastic with the most common breakfast ingredients & I have had their biscuits and gravy too. I also like the Italian food the make here, and my most favorite Italian foods here are the Meatball Sub, Chicken Spiedini & Parmesan sandwiches. I have also had the sliced pizza and my father gets a slice sometimes and it tastes like any other pizza. It is very cool that an Italian family bought this store to make it kind of Italian themed. This is the best Italian themed convenience store ever. I hope someday to buy there take n bake dinners. I enjoy going back to this store a lot.

The Monday Special was special all right. The worst sandwich we have ever eaten. Prime rib that was tough as shoes, way overcooked. Flavorless, well done+. WE pulled it off the bun and ripped pieces off to eat. It was so bad we threw it to the birds... wasted 20 bucks

This little store is a true asset to our neighborhood. It is so nice to have a quick stop close by for some last minute grocery stops and the deli/takeout housemade food items are restaurant quality. The meatball marinara, chicken parm, mozzarella sticks, Italian wontons, chicken spedini and LASAGNA are a few of my personal favs. They are also a great spot to pick up steak to grill up at home. Love it!

We have always loved this store for its convenience and quaintness! Their pizza is delicious-They always have good deals! I just tried their turkey bacon pesto Panini today and it is amazing-way better than anything I’ve ever had from Panera!

Best Chix parm sand in the city, home of the spaghetti bucket and meatballs.Daily food specials... prices are a steal, you just cant beat it!!1/23/21 Bought Chix parm sandwhiches, something was very different. Dry, hard chicken cut into small cubes... tasted like leftovers! :( Kind of disappointed! And I bragged to family only to bring them this. Ouch! Pocket book and belly not happy. Hopefully this was just an off day. I sure do hope, cuz regularly no place in town can touch these. Bummer.

First time in to buy a gift certificate for my friend who goes there all the time. Thought I would try a piece of the pizza I have heard about. It was Awesome. Crisp and delicious. Will be back to buy a whole pizza soon

Price Rite is a real gem of the KC Northland. They are a great market and deli located on Waukomis in the Northland, south of Zona Rosa, and after much debate and consideration, I have come to the conclusion that they have the BEST pizza in the Northland.On the south side of the property, they have a sign that says Authentic NY Style Pizza and I, as a Philadelphia native who has spent considerable time in New Jersey & New York, will CONFIRM their claim of having Authentic NY/East Coast Style Pizza.What makes a pizza authentically NY or East Coast? Their pizza comes in 1 size, a large 16 pie cut in 8 large slices. The pizza is a flatbread, but is very soft and able to fold in half and not a soft/crunchy flatbread. The crust however is soft, fluffy, and not flat. They use the right cheese to sauce ratio, and both their cheese and sauces are very tasty/high quality. Very high quality toppings, their pepperonis are large, over-sized almost. Delicious stuff.On Fridays and Saturdays, you can get a large two-topping 16 pizza for $9.50 after tax. With how large the pizza is, you get 8 slices, and the QUALITY of the pizza...THIS IS THE BEST PIZZA DEAL IN KANSAS CITY. $9.50 for a Price Rite pizza on a FRIDAY or SATURDAY is actually fairly ridiculous. If you want a pizza on Friday or Saturday, and live within 20 minutes of Price Rite...you should be getting your Friday and Saturday pizzas from Price Rite. $9.50 for a two topping pie, especially with how good the pizza is? Absurd.They have other specials during the week, and I really want to try their sandwiches, just trying to find the time. Cozy old great place to step into. Reminds me of that old grocery store in my past that my grandmother ran. Friendly and nice. Produce and sandwiches with deli lunch meat. Warm and cold. Interesting items that are not seen in the big storees.

At one time this was the best pizza in the northland but my last three pizzas have had burnt toppings and over toasted crust . All I can say is Im disappointed in my last couple of visits. Heres hoping they get a new pizza cook!

I had an issue with a to go order last week. My husband called, girl that answered the phone was not helpful. Since then, I talked to the owner, Santo, and he could not have been nicer. He was apologetic, listened to my frustration and offered to make the situation right. We will definitely be returning to this place after speaking to Santo.

This is a small mom & pop grocery store that is locally owned. The grocery selection is limited, and the made to order food is SPECTACULAR. My family loves this place. The NY style pizza and meatball subs are out of this world. I haven’t tried anything else yet because the pizza and meatball sub is so good...can’t bring myself to order something else. If you are close, everyone should give this place a try.

Been there twice and have had 2 of the specials. The fried chicken and the meatball sandwich and have tried the tenderloin sandwich it is so good. Will definitely be trying more of the food they make there. Recommend this place to everyone. Good eats!!

Good home made food. Sandwiches, pizza, salads and the like are all made on site. You can access this place from the walking trail right behind it so anyone who walks that trail can swing by very easily.Prices are reasonable to.

I moved out to KC not too long ago from New York so when I saw the sign for New York style pizza it caught my attention. Took home one of their take and bake style pizzas and its hands down the best NY style pizza youll find anywhere in KC.

We are so glad to have these folks part of our community. This little store has been around forever, but the previous proprietors seemed to be having trouble toward the end of their tenure. The new ownership has really turned it around, adding deli, fresh pizza, fresh produce stand from local growers and many more minor improvements. Give them a shot, you will be a loyal customer soon after.

I found this place by accident and stopped in due to a sign advertising NY style pizza by the slice. As a former Jerseyite I didnt expect much and Im pretty picky about my pizza, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was really good. I also took a look at some of the ready made convenience sandwiches and couldnt help but notice they were very large and priced nicely. The friendly service was a big plus too. It reminded me of the ma & pa general stores from my small town Vermont days. All in all the place is now one of my favorites in KC.

Just went on Sunday and young lady with grey hair was rude. I got 3 pizza slices and 3 bottles of water, water rang up to 1.99 but sticker price said .99c. Nice older gentleman came up and said charge him .99c that’s our fault and she had the audacity to argue with him. And me. I stated I will still pay for it but I shouldn’t have to pay 1.99 but it’s whatever. She was so rude I left simply because of her attitude. Pizza looked good.

An off-the-beaten-path gem.

I always want to support the small businesses, but my experience here was shady. I often drive by Price-Rite while running errands and Ive stopped in from time to time. I felt like a snack today so I stopped in as I was driving by. I settled on a single serving size bag of chips. The price was the regular MSRP stamped clearly on the bag $1.69. With tax the register showed $1.78. I handed the cashier a credit card and she looked at me and coyly changed the amount to $1.98. When I think she realized I noticed what she did she was hesitant to give me the receipt.I get that there are transaction costs with a credit card. I dont get being shady. All she had to say was hey, this is a small transaction. Do you happen to have cash? Otherwise I need to charge for our CC transaction cost. I would have understood and accepted as I didnt have cash on me. I dont like the sneaky being taken for a fool though, and there is no notice clearly posted that the price is different for cash versus credit card.

Their pizza is delicious. Mondays they sell take and bake for $8. I usually stop here while on the Line Creek Trail with the family to pick up some ice cream. Extremely friendly staff.

Price Rite Market aka The Little Store aka The Lil Store aka The Gem of the Neighborhood. This store is truly epic. My friend lives in this neighborhood so I discovered it. Hand made from scratch food. Liquor. Beer. Smokes. Merica style t-shirts and tank tops. This store makes the neighborhood. Be sure to visit!

Tiny little convenience store/restaurant. Every square foot is packed with groceries, liquor and household items. The real surprise about this place is the restaurant quality hot food you can order thats all made in house, including the sauces. Its mostly Italian but they have a few other options as well. So far Ive tried the spaghetti and meat sauce, chicken parm and sloppy joe. 3 for 3. They are recently under new ownership so if youre familiar with the old store youll be pleasantly surprised by the new place.

Their pizza is like crack !!! I can’t get enough. I don’t eat crust that much but I eat it every time when i order this pizza. And it’s the best pizza to warm up later !!!
