I have been a fan of Christopher Elbow for quite a long time. Last week was my first trip to the flagship store in downtown KC. Amazing. First of all, is there any way to put that incredible smell into a candle? I would like to breathe it in ALL DAY LONG. As always, beautiful and delicious chocolates. Took the large Halloween box to a friend in CO and she was just floored by the presentation and the taste. If you have not been before, go and treat yourself. You deserve it!

Fanciest chocolates Ive ever had, hands down. Theyre expensive but you can buy them individually so you have no excuse not to try at least one! The chocolate bars are amazing too, I recommend the Vietnamese one - it changed my mind about dark chocolate.

Cecelia and her associate were so helpful. I ordered an in-store pick up this morning and it was already waiting for us when we arrived before noon!The chocolates are exquisitely beautiful and taste as marvelous as they look.I had received C Elbow chocolates as a Mother’s Day gift and couldn’t believe how beautiful they were. Truly, they are works of art. Too beautiful to eat, but I’m glad I did because they are amazing!!

This place is heaven, I normally dont leave reviews unless Im overly impressed. I was here yesterday and was overly impressed by the customer service, the cleanliness of the store. The chocolates displayed in perfect symmetry looked just perfect, so beautifully crafted, and the taste. Definitely made with love, I will surely be going back for more and refer the business to my friends.

Fancy quality chocolates. If you get them as a gift for someone then you may end up eating all the chocolates yourself and have to buy more.The interior is very modern with seating to immediately try your purchases. The temperature is a little on the cool side to prevent the chocolates from melting.They also have candied fruit, chocolate bars of many varieties, and chocolate gift combinations.Sometimes you can see the chocolate makers building or packaging the chocolate creations in the factory.

This shop looks like a gallery. Each piece is like a new painting. They are so delicious and beautifully designed. If you want to test your pallet go for more fruit flavored ones as they taste extremely fresh! Also, the staff here is so kind! And how could they not be, they have an amazing job. Must try

So we recently received some CEC as an anniversary gift. My favorite were the Blantons chocolates! Anyway now we are hooked! I ended up ordering some more online for delivery but was a little hesitant since its like 100° outside and I didnt want chocolate soup! (Although Im sure that would be good to). Anyway I was pleasantly surprised at how well packaged it came and had ice packs inside! I will be ordering ALOT more! For myself and as gifts!!!

Im always recognized and acknowledged at some point during my visit(even w a mask on). Great, friendly people are always working. Such a locally owned vibe. Way to be the shop that you are!The only downside of shopping there now is they dont sell their bags of coffee! I have to make a second stop.

People go to New York, LA and other big cities to make a name. But Mr. Elbow chose to give KC the two most precious gifts: the chocolates here and the ice cream at Glace. You are a hero and will be a legend Mr. Elbow! I just learnt that Glace is now permanently closed. I am heart broken! Glad to hear that Fairway Creamery is serving your ice cream. I havent been there. I left town three years ago, but I still have very fond memories of both places. I have traveled many places in the country, but such brilliant artisan chocolates and the fabulous & unique flavors of ice cream are rare to find. It can give many so-called big names a run for their money. Kansas City you are lucky! Enjoy the fabulous Elbow creations! Will be definitely back some day to try again, especially the ice creams that I dearly miss!

My husband went here to get me chocolates for Valentines Day. He picked them out with the help of a staff person and I loved all of them. My favorite one that they picked out was by far the lemon one! These chocolates are always such a treat!

The chocolates and caramels taste better than they look, and they look like they should be at the Nelson. The staff is delightful, and friendly...they seem happy to be there and it extends through their customer service. Definitely a must see for locals and travelers alike.

If there were more stars, I would give more. This is just the best chocolate to be had in Kansas City and the only real hot chocolate I have found outside of Italy.

Best chocolates in probably the state. Like really delicious, fresh and mouth watering. Storefront was clean and the staff seemed sophisticated. Overpriced so I only go there about twice a year, but it is a real treat when I do. They have a reward/discount system if you provide them your info. Free parking downtown KC. I think Better Cheddar at the Country Club Plaza also sells some of their chocolate variety collections, but it may not be as fresh as this actual downtown location.

This place is the best. Its expensive. $5.95 for a two piece box I think. But one piece of chocolate here is better than a whole grocery store box. Its always worth the trip. The drinking chocolate is fantastic and the marshmallows - just wow! The workers are so kind and used to customers taking their time soaking it all in! I had them ship chocolates for a June wedding and they arrived in perfect condition (boxes bows tags and the chocolates). I cannot say enough good things.

Really friendly staff. They had hand sanitizer and a mask if you forgot yours. The chocolate is pricey, so not something Id be too eat every day, but its usually a nice gift to give. Chocolate is phenomenal and I dont think Ive anything like it from anywhere else!

If you havent received Chocolates from here then you need to do yourself a favor and get your own. The first thing about their Chocolates is they are absolutely beautiful. What to say about Christopher Elbow? Well, to start off, it is only place in town I know of that serves real hot chocolate. By that I mean, it is basically gourmet chocolate melted and poured into a cup. It is really good, but a little goes a long way. The shop is small, but well stocked with a wide assortment of fresh mouth-watering artisan chocolates. The store is easy to miss from the street, and does not offer any scenic views. However, views are not why you are coming here. Once inside you will find a very clean modern interior. The staff is very friendly and patient since you have tons of options to choose from. Also, while you are deciding, you can look through a large glass wall and see other workers creating the chocolates. There is a very limited seating capacity with metal tables and metal chairs. It is a very interesting place to go. Finally, the chocolates are simply tremendous. They are like little explosions of flavor with every bite.

Expect to spend some money, but WOW, these chocolates are a work of art and DELICIOUS. I suggest going in and hand picking your own box, so many options to choose from Ive never seen in chocolates. The line can get long around holidays, so keep that in mind when planning your trip.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone to try at least once. I know the people in the store front are always very kind and helpful as well when I’m able to go inside and buy.

After leaving two messages their representative got back to me and had created an account for me and made sure my discounts applied. Absolutely stunning. The interior design and architecture have a smooth modern minimalistic look. The inside is very clean and simple, quite pleasant to look at. The bathroom was clean, and the staff especially patient and helpful while I made my choice. They have a small coffee bar on top of the beautiful chocolate schedule. The taste of these rare gems is incomparable. Ive been here a few times, and will definitely return.
