My review is to do with the attached lot. Firestone owns this lot, which is fine. However, FADED tow warning signs are unacceptable. NO tow signs on the far entrance are unacceptable. Not having the call number clearly displayed so needing to call multiple numbers to find the place? Unacceptable. There is a small barrier that makes the large lot appear separate from the small one by the building. The clear sign faces that small lot, appearing to be part of that only. The only clear sign in the large lot itself is low on the pole and easily hidden by parked vehicles. Firestone needs to clearly mark their privately owned lot.

My ex-partner brought his SUV to Firestone because there was an issue with the power steering. After nearly $3,000 and 3 separate times being fixed it was STILL not fixed. Finally he went off on them for the fact that it still wasnt fixed and I guess the 4th times a charm. I will absolutely NEVER recommend this place to ANYBODY! Not even an enemy deserves this. I wouldnt even get an oil change here after this experience. Theyll prob not put the oil pan plug in and say it wasnt there when you brought it in. Best recommendation Ive ever gotten: if you dont want to spend dealership prices, the next best is an auto shop with someones name in the title. Hope this helps!

I have enjoyed their service since I moved back in 2019, but I will have to take my business elsewhere if there is no waiting room for customers to sit in while their car is worked on. It is not feasible for me to walk back to the office in work clothes in the middle of the summer in downtown KC and I am not going to incur the cost of two ubers or burden my friends for a ride in the middle of a work day because of Firestone policy. Lamesauce.

Everything was fine till I got into my vehicle. I then noticed that my vehicle had been ransacked and my vehicle registration and insurance cards were missing. They didnt secure my vehicle. Left it outside to be ramshacked.

Whatever you do, DO NOT GO HERE! I had a flat tire punctured by a nail leaking air quickly and the attendant told me to park my car and they wouldn’t touch it until the next day. He refused to patch it or even air it up for me so I could get somewhere else to patch it in time. I was luckily able to get down the street to Wells Brothers Auto Care right as my tire had fully deflated and they helped me even though they no longer service tires. This Firestone location refused to help me in an emergency and shouldn’t be trusted to service your vehicle!

Firestone got my Missouri safety inspection done quickly and staff was friendly until I went to drive off and noticed what looked like white paint on my dash that had not been there before. I brought it to a staff members attention who said it was from a worker peeling off a sticker and then pointed out how my dash was generally sticky anyway. I mentioned that I could (thankfully) wipe off the white smudges with my finger so theres no reason they could not have wiped it up. I know occasionally things are missed and I wasnt looking for them to detail my whole car, but an offer to clean up their mess after I pointed it out would have been nice. This Firestone does the bare minimum and then dips a little below that.

Made appointment online. Moved my schedule around to accommodate time slot. Email confirmation said if the time didn’t work they would call. Never got a call, yet they didn’t have time to rotate and balance my tires. Incredibly frustrating.

Well, if you decide to come to this business i would hope you didnt have any other plans for the rest of the day. It took 4 hours for this magnificent crew of grown men to change 1 single tire. If i had a spare i could have done it in 20minutes. Very very disappointed with my experience but hey, maybe you might have better luck.

I usually never post reviews, but I recently had one of the best auto care services. I was helped by a gentlemen named Jimmie. He was awesome and make my experience pleasant. Jimmie informed me about different tires Firestone had, and also was pleasant to be around. Let me say he was also multitasking like crazy, which he did a good job of (answering 5 calls on multiple phone lines while we were on hold with the firestone CC line). He said he will be transferring to Texas soon! A great employee to be missed!

I dont even know why I made an appointment. If I could give 0 stars I would. My appointment was at 10am for an oil change. Its currently 12 and they still havent even touched my car. The guy at the front said its possible that my car wouldnt be ready until end of day. 😑😑 Worst service. Going somewhere else for an oil change next time. I do not recommend. Plus its raining and they dont let you sit inside to wait.

Regina was great and professional, but Nate which I had no interaction with was unprofessional with the type of language choice around customers. I have spent thousands with Firestone in independence and banister locations, but I think I will move on after this experience .

I just paid $918 to only get a TIRE and an alignment.I’ve had this car for 3 yrs..... it magically wouldn’t start, so they replaced the fuel system.NOW..... gas is POURING out of my engine, and my gas tank will not close. A light flashed on my dashboard😳.I am nervous. The vehicle needed something and my tires needed air. A lot of airRoll up to Firestone a little after six😞 they close at 7pm and the mechanics are all busy with other cars.😥🌟They were so nice. He walked towards me, looked my Chrysler over🤔 saw my situation.Solved my problem😊.💥Firestone thank you. Your man was a knight in shining armor. These are our neighborhoodcar repair 👦 guys. I am giving Firestone Complete Auto Care, at 501 E Truman Rd, two stars. They are only getting two stars because the front desk staff was friendly, but my overall experience was unacceptable. I made an appointment on Monday 3-11-2019 to get my oil changed at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday 3-12-2019. I am a very busy person and I dont have time for procrastination, or disorganization.I will admit that I was 6 minutes late, due to construction I was unaware of, but I cant believe how slow the service there was once they had my car. After dropping my car off, I walked to the Power and LIght District had lunch, and walked back to find my car sitting out front waiting. Being a cup half full type of person I though to myself Awesome my car is done! only to go inside to find out that it hadnt even moved.Im sorry, but there is something wrong with the way this garage is being managed. Again I know I was a little late, but for my car to sit for 45 minutes without even being touched, when I had an appointment, is unacceptable. I honestly would have understood if it wasnt finished yet, but to not even have been started is just not acceptable!Note* I cannot speak to the quality of the work that is done there as I had to leave without my car being worked on due to my lunch hour being almost over. However someone needs to do a serious time management assessment of this location before I will consider taking my car there again.

Got an appointment for my 2000 dodge dakota ... for lineup ... they gave it to me for saturday oct 10, 2020 at 9am ... I left my truck at eight thirty ... the manager at the accountant Said it would take an hour ... that he would call me when the lineup was done ... they told me I couldnt wait in the lobby due to covid 19 ... I just noticed a white customer was sitting in the lobby .. waiting .... I went out to the parking lot to wait .... I waited about two hours .. and my truck was still in the parking lot .... already desperate to get in. .. I commented that my appointment was at 9 am and it was already 10 minutes to 11 am ... the manager just gave me the keys ... and said absolutely nothing ... not an apology ... I do not recommend this place .... especially to the Hispanic Community ... I feel that they make differences between races .... very bad service

I used to like this place until they scratched my car (or it was scratched while in their possession). Very visible, very fresh scratches across the front and side of the car. Mechanic agreed that the scratches were fresh as paint dust was still on them. Manager tried to avoid getting in touch with me, refused to admit responsibility, and refused to tell me the name of the shops insurance company.

If i could give them no stars I would. I booked an appointment online 2 days ago for 7:30 am. I get there that morning at 7:15 am to drop off my car and they tell me that I could get my car back to me until 5 pm. 5PM! I tell them that I had a 7:30 appointment and they tell me well we have to call you to confirm the time. I chose from the list of times that YOUR website said was available and never received an call saying the contrary. I tell them I cant wait until 5 because I have a doctors appointment at 3 hence the reason I booked a 7:30 am appointment and I am supposed to drive out of town in the morning. I asked for a manager and of course he wasnt in. Never offered to compensate for the inconvenience. So I guess when you have an abundance of customers everyday and the only shop in downtown customers service is not a priority. The point of having only booking was so a customer wouldnt have to call the shop. Too much like doing the right thing I guess. SMH

I spoke with two employees. Jon on the phone before appointment and Nate when I arrived. I expressed my concerns and asked questions regarding the services I was paying for. I told both employees in detail the trouble I have been experiencing, diagnostic codes I acquired from O’Reillys and what my goals were. Upon dropping my car off I spoke with Nate who seemed disinterested and distracted as if he were barely listening to me. Upon recalling our conversation he stated that I asked for services that I never mentioned nor requested. He was very rude, and I felt completely slighted. I specifically discussed what the diagnostic would entail and made sure if I purchased the inspection I would be given a full report about the condition and other issues of my vehicle with the intention of paying this Firestone to repair the issues. I was not given any report, there was no communication or concern expressed about my needs in regards to the repairs I wanted for my car. I went into this shop trusting their expertise and giving them my money in exchange for services that were not fulfilled. My tires were not aired up, or balanced. Tire pressure light still on and was told by the woman at the front that it would turn off in 20 miles?! I checked my tire pressure and they were far below required PSI. They did not show any concern about the issues I told them I wanted looked at/fixed including a leak in my evap system/gas cap, as well as the reason as to why my car felt as if it were lagging and slow to accelerate, and my gas mileage was suffering so much. My biggest concern was the issue with the evap system and they did not even check it nor include in the report or communicate what my options were to have it fixed. They did not complete the Inspection list properly almost as if they selected items on the list with a blindfold on. When I went back they lied about when the store manager would be there. When I finally made it to speak with them I was met with very rude service. When I told them AGAIN what I had asked for I was accused of being wrong that I asked for an entirely different service that I DID NOT MENTION and proceeded to be argued with as if I lied about why I was concerned and bringing my car in for repair. I know they did not completely the diagnostic properly because an oreillys diagnostic pulled the same codes as before I went to firestone. None of which were vocalized, noted in the receipts or noted on my copy of the inspection diagnostic form. They even overlooked the battery that was incorrect for my vehicle. What kind of business are these people conducting?! I feel taken advantage of, I do not feel rectified or that I accomplished the goals I had expressed. This is the absolute worst and most unprofessional experience I have ever had. I am incredibly dissatisfied and do not feel compensated for the time, energy and distress caused by this experience. My car did not get the work I would have paid for and I was met with hostility, rude and unprofessional staff. My car was in the shop almost four days. Not only do I feel disrespected, swindled, unheard or happy with the nearly $900 spent, I also lost four days of income for a poorly conducted service that barely met the needs of my vehicle issues. Let this be a warning to anyone using this shop for their vehicle repairs!!! Do not get swindled like me!!!

Was told that my oil change would include the tires being checked and put at the appropriate level as well as washer fluid filled. In addition to that when I picked up my car the driver side interior was messed up on the over head part of the door....The store manager, John, did everything he could to rectify the problem and make it right. Dropped off vehicle at 7:10a for an oil change. Told me it’ll be ready by 4p (cool). Called at 1:30 to see if it happened to be done early (nope) but still reassured it’ll be done by 4p. I get there at 5:10p, vehicle in the same exact spot untouched. They unapologetically tell me, it can be done tonight but not sure when and there that was a 5p appt ahead of me even still. How when it has been there for 10 hours already? Never will I go back.

EDIT: Took to another mechanic and he told me the things firestone recommended were bull. This place will just try to suck out $1200 repairs for things that done need fixing. Will never go again and highly recommend you get double checked if you go here.Overpriced, Had an oil change and inspection and then eventually had them replace tires and it took 3 or so hours.Went in for an oil change and they offered a 9$ rotation and checkup and so i took it. They proceeded to tell me that I needed to spend $2k on repairs pitching dire consequences. called my parents mechanic and he told me that their claims are fairly exaggerated and that he would do it for a lot cheaper. I did get my tires replaced for impact damage and wall damage and they replaced only 3 of them? I have never ever seen this before in my life, Ive only seen 2 or 4 tire replacements. Typical scam mechanics trying to charge you for everything. Giving it a three because they showed me the problems and the people were okay as far as service goes. Be wary and get a second opinion on things

I went in for a routine oil change. I never once felt hassled or taken advantage of. They provided excellent service and kindly explained to me the horrible state of my tires (I had recently driven from Florida to Colorado, to Kansas City, to Chicago and back to Colorado again) so I knew I was in desperate need of new tires. I will definitely go back there for future oil changes.

Dropped my car off before work and picked it up at the end of the day. Im always wary of working with an unfamiliar shop, but this was a great experience. I brought it in for new tires and knew the alignment was probably off and my brakes were on last legs. John was very pleasant, and talked me through the alignment check and the cost if the alignment needed to be done. I had forgotten to mention the brakes when I dropped it off, but when he called later in the day he told me about their condition and recommended replacement (and explained why) but wasnt at all pushy about it like other places Ive gone to. The cost was great too - tires were a great value with the sale they had at the time, and the alignment and brakes were just under the estimates I got when checking around online. I will definitely be back next time my car needs work!

BEWARE! I im a business owner and have taken my vehicle to this shop for tire repair. I received nothing but lies, as to when it will be available and a very UNPROFESSIONAL management.I have complained about the service, to management. What did they do you ask. Im very surprised to see negative reviews for this location. This is my third year taking my car for auto care here, and Ive always had above-and-beyond service. Perhaps its about being respectful and not a pain-in-the-rear type of customer. Ive had my oil changed there numerous times, bought tires at great prices, and they actually help me stay on track with maintenance. The thing that stood out most was when today I mentioned that I really needed to leave at a certain time, and the time frame estimate they gave me was cutting it close, so the guy who was running the front desk worked with me and kept me updated on the progress, and they got done before they said they would. Ive never gotten the impression theyre trying to pull a fast one and sell me stuff, because theyve actually told me that certain things I really dont need to replace yet etc. I rarely every leave reviews, but I feel like they deserve some good rep.

THEY DID NOT PERFORM THE WORK THEY SAID THEY DID.We brought our 2014 Ford Escape here on 1/22/19 to get a hole plugged after running over a bolt. Waited an hour, and were charged $20 for the plug. The work was signed off on by someone named Luis. A few days later after hearing noise from that same tire, we noticed that the bolt was STILL IN THE TIRE. They did not perform the work at all. They did nothing. And still charged us after an hour wait.We brought the vehicle back on 1/27/19 and asked to have it plugged for real. The tire manager, Derek, didnt seem very surprised or apologetic, but promised to fix it and said it would be ready in an hour and a half at the most. We returned after an hour and a half and the work had not even been started. The tire manager, Derek, then sent someone out to pull the vehicle in and start work. After another hour and 15 minutes, we were finally sent home with a plugged tire. We never received an apology in any form from anyone, but they did attempt to make several excuses about accidentally plugging another tire instead (but that tire had no holes that needed plugging, and they could now show me a spot on that tire that had been plugged).I was not offered a refund for the original $20 plug which was not performed, and will be seeking through their corporate office instead. I will never go back to that location again.EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED that they did not in any way admit fault or even attempt to apologize. We will NEVER be returning.

I am also surprise to see the negative reviews for this location. I am active duty military and I have been taking all my cars to this location since being stationed here in 2012. I am very particular about who works on my vehicles and I always demand quality work. Over the past three years I have received nothing, but excellent service from this location, from oil changes to minor repairs. A little respect and kindness goes a long way. When you go asked for John. He is one of the store manages and will treat you right.

Tried to charge me an addin product that wasnt discussed in my estimate,said they tried to contact me but they had no phone number but ieft my phone number before i left the vehicle,and slso took it somewhere else and they said i needed a front wheel alignment which that was some of the work that was supposed too be done along with wheel bearings for over $600.00 go figure.

I never bother to leave reviews but yikes. my windshield wipers weren’t working so i took my car in and after waiting 2.5 hours they said they needed a $300 part. i said i’d have to wait on it. when i went back out to my car there was a giant crack in the windshield that they caused. they didn’t even bother to tell me about it. so i went in and told them and they ended up fixing the crack. but what really bothers me is that about a week after this i had my uncle check on my car and he fixed my windshield wipers to work perfectly in about 30 minutes- no $300 part needed. i don’t know if they thought they could scam me because i’m young and naive but i definitely won’t be going back.

They dont upsell you too hard and are honest about what needs to be done to the car. I never feel bad telling them I dont want the extra fixes. They get my car done before, or ahead, of the time I ask for it back. Only thing I wish they did was call you back when the car is ready for pickup instead of only when they finish the original work scheduled.

These guys were amazing. Im from Topeka, and we had a bit of an accident that caused my passenger front tire to blow. My spare was in bad shape and I knew it wouldnt get us home. So I called them and asked if there was any way they could squeeze us in. It was about 1.5 hours till closing time, and I know how much of a pain that can be. They got us in, got a new tire on the car and had us going again in about half an hour. I am SO grateful to them for helping us out.

This location is VERY unprofessional. I asked to have items repaired and the tech told me if I leave my car with him he could get it done by 5pm. They call me after 4pm to inform me of what was wrong with my car , which I already knew, thats what I took it in for. There was no way they could repair my car under an hour! Ultimately my car was not repaired and I was charged a diagnostic fee for what I told them was wrong with it. I will never go back to this location! I would rather pay the dealership twice as much than to have this Firestone on Truman Rd repair it!

I showed up at 8 AM for my appointment to get my oil changed. The manager didn’t show up to the shop until 8:15 AM. At 8:30 AM I was asked why my car was not on a lift. Then I was informed I needed to complete more paperwork before work could start. I was originally quoted 1-1.5 hours. Then I was quoted 2 hours after I had been there for 30 minutes. 3 hours for an oil change is a joke especially with an appointment.

Noticed a low tire on my SOs car around 4pm on a Sunday. Took the wheel off and found a screw in the tire. I immediately went online to find a place to repair it and most of them were already closed. I found this Firestone that closes at 5pm, so I gave them a call not expecting much. Jerry answered the phone and told me to come on down and theyll take a look at it. I stopped in and walked out with a repaired tire within 15 mins. Very reasonable price as well. I will definitely come back for future repairs.

Awful, awful experience. Had a 9 am appointment on a Saturday to get 4 tires put on which I had ordered online and had delivered to their location. The appointment was a joke, they didnt even get the vehicle in for another 45 minutes. Ended up taking 2.5 hours to get 4 tires put on. Then when they went to put one of my old tires back into my vehicle without asking me they damaged my headliner. They had an utter disregard for just about everything. This was the lowest quality service and treatment I have ever experienced from any auto service center. I would NEVER take my vehicle here again for any reason, nor would I ever have tires delivered there again and have to deal with such careless fools.

I had an appointment to have my oil changed in the morning before driving out of state for a business trip. They called me at 6 pm the night before to cancel because their day is full. Cancelling when it is too late to make an appointment somewhere else is not only unreliable but also unprofessional. If I cant count on this company to even keep their scheduled appointments, Im not sure hey should be counted on for he care of cara at all. If I have problems driving across two states tomorrow because of oil, they should be expecting a law suit.

If you have our apartment at 10 itll get to your car until 11 or 12 so whats the point of making an appointment to make appointment on top of appointment then they want you to leave your car then they put other cars ahead of you

I was a repeat customer for the last 4 years having spent over $600 dollars or so on tires and alignments. Had a screw in one of my tires recently and brought it up to get removed and to have the tire patched. The employee told me that they couldnt because of the position of the screw, which was a inch or two from the center of the tread, and proceeded to quote me a new tire and alignment. I refused this quote, took my car to a local dobbs and they patched it without complaint for 25 dollars in 45 minutes. Never gonna shop here again!

First time being there and I saw some things that I didnt agree with one gentleman was making pizza and there was a trash can he took the pizza prepare and hit it on the trash can and then decided to put another piece of thing on it I thought that was trifling what does not up to code just well be my last experiencing at this place
