Last Friday. Four star food, 1 star service. We had group of 15 with 2 toddlers. Everyone had great food & lots to drink. The service was focused on those who were drinking& food order got postponed for too long. We all paid separately. My drink order was not taken & I had to ask twice! The situation went downhill from there, one sandwich order was completely wrong & offered for free but no offer to make correct sandwich. She seemed to be over her head. Only tipped 10%. Its a good place for drinking& gaming. Too stressful for family meal.
I tried eating at this restaurant tonight, Thursday 9/30. I came in around 8pm. I saw 3 employees working: a petite girl with pink hair, a heavy set girl, and a black gentleman with dreadlocks. All 3 employees ignored me on numerous occasions. I sat at the bar for 10 minutes, and all 3 employees walked past me numerous times. No one said hello or anything. After 10 minutes I decided to try to go eat somewhere else.
I had the best experience at this sports bar. My server was the best, I think his name was cal(super friendly and honestly kinda cute too) constantly was checking on my family to make sure we were taken care of. I hardly ever go to bars anymore due to previous experiences at other places with servers but this one I will definitely be returning to! My server was very open to conversation as well, I hope every time I come he is working so I will get to have a splendid experience. He kept a smile on his face and I REALLY enjoyed the conversation and experience at this establishment. I’m so glad he was my server! If you are ever in the area definitely ask for him as your server!
Lots of TV’s and the manager will put at least one on whatever event you want to watch. Did I mention the GREAT food. Be sure to order some and they have a huge selection of beers to wash it down. Just go. You can thank me later.
Great service but the food isnt the same as 3 o4 months ago.
Fun place to eat, drink, play pool, darts or hang with friends. Food is bar style but fairly good. The wings are wet without the breaded coating which made them better finger food. The basic Classic burger was just that and was good for a bar style meal. Plan to visit again in the future.
I’ve heard of Brass Rail before but never had the time to come out and enjoy the atmosphere until recently. My friends recommended I sit in Donald’s area and boy, am I glad I did. He truly made me feel like a🤴king! I was having the worst day of my life and he completely turned it around for the better. Donald was a great listener, charismatic, respectful, understanding, always kept my drink topped off and had me laughing the whole night. Donald was also quick to get me my food & anything else I needed. If Brass Rail wants to grow its profits to the stars and beyond then every server should take a couple notes from the Donald A. playbook. BEST SERVER I’ve ever experienced. 🍽🍺🍔🎱🏀🏈⚾️🤯
We love this bar, but haven’t been in for quite a while. Had lunch today, the server was wonderful considering she had a lot of real estate to cover My husband had the fish & chips and said they were good. I opted for the burnt ends, and had it not been for the fantastic fries, I’d would have sent it back. The burnt ends were dry, tough and just not good. The sauce was ok. I’m just not one to complain, but if this had been in a regular BBQ joint, I would have without hesitation. Sad
The chef salad was amazing! This establishment is very clean and the wait staff was friendly. We will definitely be eating here again!
Love going here for games and for social outings. We spend most Chiefs games here and it’s the perfect place to enjoy the game. The food is good, tons of TVs, and the service/staff are great. All of the staff is excellent but Hailey is normally our server and she always goes above and beyond to take care of us. She makes you feel welcomed and always does whatever she can to make sure we’re happy and enjoy our time there! Service like hers makes us keep coming back.
Server was really nice. Ordered happy hour nachos and wings. My dad thinks they have bigger and better wings when its not happy hour.. cant confirm that. The nachos were okay... toppings came off as spicy, even the meat. My biggest complaint with them is a low chip to toppings ratio. I dont like the taste of KC water, normally restaurants have filters but theirs tasted like dirt... thats how I think KC water normally is. Good tea however. My dad said the coke tasted funny, he tried the diet and regular.Update - daily special chicken fried chicken is very tasty with a large portion size. I wish the mashed potato size was a little larger... bite to bite ratio is off if your like me and load the fork with each.
This is a fun sports bar/restaurant and pool hall. Quiet on Tuesday night, good place to watch a Royals game. Shrimp basket and chicken tenders are usually good but were a little overcooked this time. Also the seasoned fries were a little too spicy. Will try again another time.
So I left a negative review that I feel terrible about and I wanted to update my review based on my experience. The staff came out today and apologized for my previous experience and said they were short staffed. Everyone was awesome tonight and really went above and beyond not just for me but for all the people that came in. I have put my foot in my mouth and won’t review again until I give a place a few visits before posting. A+ service and food

I ate here for the first time last Friday and It was AMAZING! If you ever eat here ASK FOR HEAVEN! She got our order right the first time, even though we made a lot of substitutes and add-ons to our order. Very impressive. She was engaging and made us feel right at home.Bonus: We saw/overheard a table—that wasn’t hers—was unsatisfied with their food. Heaven noticed and stepped in to help them. We could hear them taking out their frustrations on her, but she handled it so professionally. In then end they were happy, and Heaven carried on unfazed by their rudeness. Give her a raise SERIOUSLY.We ended our evening at the bar where she continued to check in on us. She is one of the best servers I’ve ever had!
Although this place is almost always packed it is nice. The fully loaded potatoes are great. Weather going with friends just to play pool or to watch a football game. From TV fights to Celebration. The servers are fast and friendly. It is clean and fun. A nice place to enjoy friends and food.
Always have such a good time when Sarah is serving! Drinks are always filled and food comes out great.

Thank the maker!The weekend is upon us!What that means for me is that for the next three days I dont have to eat my cooking for my evening meal! So, to start this three-day Feast off I, stopped over at a place called The Brass Rail.Reading some local reviews, I see that this place has a mixed reputation. And the sad thing about it is I live so close to it and I almost never go there. Well tonight I change that! I went in after work and decided to try their Reuben sandwich with some onion rings instead of fries. I was not disappointed!I started it off with a beer from Martin City Brewery, Estrada de Terra, and with the first sip I thought to myself I need some cream and sugar to go with this coffee! A Smooth Dark beer with distinct notes of coffee that was easy to drink.Then they brought out my sandwich! On marble rye they layer freshly cut slices of corned beef. It was tender and succulent and fatty just as if they had freshly cut it off the brisket. To that they added some sauerkraut, some thousand island dressing, and some cheese. They then put the top of the sandwich on it. Walla! Culinary Heaven!For dessert I had a Cigar City dark Maduro Brown Ale, with delicious hints of chocolate it was bold yet smooth to the last drop. All in all, a very good start to the weekend!Well Done Brass Rail!Well Done Indeed!
Service was great almost all night. Out of no where bartender decided to refuse us drinks Bcus we did not leave a tip even tho we did not leave or close or tap. Manager came in and decided to help us instead and tried to fix the situation.
I,recently,went to the BRSB with some friends, for the first time,a couple of weeks ago. Great place to kick back,play some pool,catch a ball game...not to mention those fried pickles! The service was pretty amazing,too! Pretty sure the girls name was Skyler. We had great food,great conversation and an all around good experience as a result! Make sure you keep her around! One of my favorite places to go! I sit in the same area, and i usually have the same server. Its like going to your friends place to kick it. The 2.00 wells are a great incentive to get out! They dont tolerate any BS either!
The bartender with the red dyed hair was very rude to my wife. The wait staff was very inattentive. We seemed more like an inconvenience than a customer. The food was pretty good and the had a shuffleboard table which was nice. The music was awful and we had to keep flagging the waiter down to get more drinks. This place has a ton of potential with the right staff.
Came in Sunday for some great food but wasnt sure what I wanted to drink. Abby was our server and she recommended the Boulevard Quirks to us. I wasnt sure Id like it but I love the strawberry basil one. She was very sweet and knowledgeable. I now have a new favorite drink thanks to her!
I went into Brass Rails for a drink over the weekend, and I had the most amazing time. My server, Cal, took very good care of me and my table. He kept the vibe up and was super helpful with suggestions. Will definitely go again!

This place has an awesome vibe to it. Super laid back and chill and they have cheap drinks and good food. Cal was my server and this man killed it. He was on top of everything and when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING. 10/10 coming back!
Phenomenal customer service. Make sure you ask for Heaven and order the cheese dip. The cheese dip was absolutely breath-taking. I’ve sampled many a cheese dips in my time and I can truly say the BR cheesy beef dip takes the blue ribbon. I will be returning to Brass Rail soon, hungry for more.
We love Brass rail! The food was great and the service was impeccable. Our server Emily was very knowledgeable of the menu and quick to get our drinks to the table. She was very attentive and very personable would love to have her serve our table again someday.
It had been a while since Ive been here. Came in yesterday for a late lunch! We had Abby as our server and she told us all the great specials, my favorite being the $5 glasses of wine! I also had the pub mac and it was SO GOOD! Great establishment, will be back!

Every time we do the staff in the food is spectacular! The prices match the quality, and theres plenty of space to really enjoy social distancing while still having a good time with family and friends. They have TouchTunes radio so you can eat and pick your own jams
Very busy on a Saturday night. They food was good and came from the kitchen fresh and quickly but the waitress had too much going on and had to be waved down each time someone at our table needed something. We sat close to the bar and just got in line several times but this resulted in having more than one tab open. It was a pleasant experience if we didnt want any real service.
My Server Hailey had to be the coolest gal in the bar serving that week cause I kept coming back just to see her. But not in a creepy way. She was knowledgeable about different drinks based on what I liked and I never seemed like a bother for asking for new suggestions.10/10 prob just go back to pick her Brains some more on drink options
Came here recently with a group of friends, Raina, Seymour, and Jack. We sat at the bar and had a lot of fun! I was going to get my normal drink, but Caitlyn recommended a cider I hadnt tried and Im glad she did! It was super yummy, shes an awesome bartender! Raina was even impressed, and shes super picky! Check this place out for yourself!
1st time here. Place is huge, clean, practicing the social distancing. My only gripe was the food (other than their mozzarella sticks) was tasteless... probably the most bland a meal Ive ever had (I ordered the cod)... it sucked. OH! My glass for my drink smelled like it was cleaned or wiped dry with a dirty rag...Our waitress was nice, pleasant. Unfortunately I forgot her name.All varieties of music. Lots of pool tables, nice atmosphere. NOT FOR LITTLE KIDS AFTER 9PM

Brass Rail is a good spot to play pool. Unlike most pool spots you dont rent the tables but instead you pay per game. They have a few dart boards, but the boards need updated. The drinks are reasonably priced, service is decent, and it is overall a decent spot to have a night out with friends.

Went here for the first time this past weekend. Our server Cal was very accommodating and explained everything we’ve asked about the menu clear and precisely. I ended up grabbing the fried pickles, Buffalo wings & was so excited to hear they had my favorite boulevard on tap!!

My wife and I really enjoy dropping in to eat, play pool or dart and whatever we end up doing weve never had a bad experience I personally like their hamburgers my wife is more experimental but has disliked any of her choices.
I love this place. It’s close to home for me with great drinks always has a good atmosphere and arguably the best bartender in the world. Hailey always makes sure I’m taken care of and is super easy to talk to.

We went a little early to watch royals game and play pool, all space restrictions were lifted, servers were on top of it and we just had pitchers of beer and ordered an appetizer, bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers, which were amazing!!

I highly recommend this place and the food was delicious but the number one highlight of my visit to Brass Rail was having Abby as my server!! I seriously cant gush about her enough, she was such a delight to talk to and got everything I needed in record time! Cant wait to come back.
I frequent Brass Rail and love coming for the shrimp tacos. It’s always a good time, especially for game nights. The whole staff is wonderful, but Caitlyn always goes above and beyond for our needs. Best Sports bar around!

I guess I expect servers and bartenders to be exceptionally friendly right now (Im a hairstylist so I live it every day) and I felt ignored more than anything. I get that everyone is short staffed but that shouldnt be relevant to the ones that show up.
Cal is the man. This was my first time here and he made sure I was comfortable. I recommend this place. A good place to have a small get together.

Always such a lively place with so much going on. Seems like there’s always a billiards league. Shuffleboard, tons of darts, always a fantastic rotating beer selection. And tons of TVs with pretty much anything you could ever want to watch available. A really great spot that people to come from all around.

Great place to play pool, some darts, and listen to music, with some TVs too AND they have good food. You must ask for Heaven! Shes a fun server with the best customer service. Highly recommend for a fun atmosphere!
Would be a 5, except food was lacking seasoning. Good atmosphere, plenty of pool tables and even soft tip dart boards. Overall, great experience.

Pool tables are great atmosphere is us fun but the service is the absolute worst in town. Literally waited for 30 minutes for a server. Finally went to the bar to get a brew and the later refused to serve me and said wait for a server. And she was pretty rude about it. All three times Ive been there its been the same thing. Me and my friends definitely wont be going back.

Food was fabulous! I had the chicken, avacodo, bacon sandwich and onion rings! Fried pickles were nicely breaded and still snappy! My server, Savoy, was awesome! Very attentive and knowledgeable of the food and beverages!

The bar tender was very rude we had 15 mins before the last call and she told us we can’t get drinks anymore. Very disappointed.
Just sat there for over 10 minutes and no service. Went to the bar to ask the manager or the nicest dressed person behind the counter and was sent back to my seat like a kid to wait. And $16 a burger, not for that service. I came here 10 years ago and was reminded of why its been so long.
Hailey was the best! Fantastic service. Between her and her trainee, I was blown away! Will come again and bring some of the bros!
