Nice, well stocked store. Wasnt busy on our visit. Masks required at this time. We got help looking for strapping, think dog leash. The selection was thin for anything smaller than one inch. Spouse stayed and did well for seasonal fabrics. Well be back.

Everyone here is awesome! Very nice and very helpful people who are also knowledgeable about the products they sell. Learning how to sew and make clothes has been a bit challenging, but they have helped a ton! Decent prices also!

Shopping at Joanns can be addictive. They have so many wonderful fabrics. I would suggest that you take photos of the fabric and the barcode on the bolt. It will make it easier to track down or order for your online or instore wish I had bought list.

Finding help was quite simple. The employee recommended other stores as well, if I couldnt find what I wanted.

Had a little difficulty finding what I needed but the staff was very helpful and welcoming, I will be coming here to buy canvas for my girlfriends stepdads teepee

Great place with good prices. I only wish they had more staff available or that the staff were more knowledgeable about the various crafting traits, but I guess that last part comes in time. The staff do seem a little rushed and stressed sometimes, though they maintain a professional and welcoming attitude to guests.

Good selection, helpful folks at the cutting counter. Coupons can be weirdly hit and miss - idk why $15 off $75 wouldnt apply to an $82 purchase but $10 off $50 would but otherwise good experience.

I was a bit overwhelmed with the project I was doing, but more than one associate assisted me to ensure I had not only everything I needed, but the right quality and quantity. Just be prepared to wait if you need to have fabric cut, and make sure you take a number as they go by now serving order. And - OPEN ON SUNDAY!

Why is this place so hot!?!? And why do people feel they need to buy a flipping whole cart of fabric when there is only one person available to cut fabric? It is like a torture chamber in this place! Let alone, I couldnt find any boning in the while building!

I love joanns the staff is great however it is very irritating when there are sale signs all over the yarn or other items and when I go to purchase them they are not on sale on the computers at all and I have to make them go back and check every single time.

We love going here to get all sorts of fabrics, yarns, art and crafts supplies. The customer service has always been excellent and the store seems well maintained and clean. Also, theres aways lots of items on sale and coupons to use. We recommend going to get all your fabrics and crafts.

Pretty cool place even if you dont sew. All kinds of cool crafts. Kinda like hobby lobby.

I like Joann Fabric and Craft. The variety of items is wide & pretty complete. However, shelf sale item price markings were lacking detail & ambiguous. When I asked for clarification at the register, I was told that tag didnt go with your item. So, I was a bit disappointed and decided against purchasing some of the items. I will continue shopping here but will question before selecting items if the price is not clear.

Without a doubt, this place has a cult meeting or living in the store. Allow me to explain. At any point, the parking lot is packed. Yet, when you enter, there are never as many people inside as the parking lot indicates. I think there may be a portal under the store that transports people to a different dimension. It is this way everyday. So, visit of your looking for craft supplies, fabric, or to seek your soul to satan, which if you know people who sew, it’s pretty much the same thing. Also, grandma, if your reading this, YOUR SEWN JEANS YOU MADE FOR ME ARE NOT IDENTICAL TO LEVI 501s. IPEOPLE WILL NOT BELIEVE THEY ARE ! Geez

Usually the store is neat organized and helpful * WHEN YOU CAN SPOT A WORKER*. ...so I guess an average score #3 would be my rating.

I love coming here. They have great items and sales. But when I went today, I couldnt find anyone at all to help me find a certain item. It was a little frustrating as I didnt want to be in the store for a long time. I eventually found it by myself.I like that they have other random things. Like cooking pans, molds and such. I got these xmas sprinkles too for really great price.

Joanns always has great store deals. Especially if you have the Joann App with coupons to use or shop curbside pickup.

Joanns is one of those places I could spend hours and hours a week and still not see everything!!! The staff at this one are very nice although sometimes try to know more than they do and give out misleading information. Other than this this place is aces!!

Still trying to get used to where everything is. Its hard to go in and know where everything is so I walk around the whole store. Even ask a worker where something was and she didnt know but sent me somewhere anyways pretending that she knew. I ended up on the other side of the store when it was around where we were at the time I asked her. Products usually have good sales and make sure to download their app for coupons/deals!

I stopped by here on my lunch break to purchase fabric for my business and there was a long line for fabric to be cut, no biggie. I attempt to purchase a brand new bundle of fabric because after waiting 20 minutes, my number was still 7 people away. The cashier refuses to let me buy it saying she can’t guarantee it would be untouched. I repeatedly asked her if I can buy it anyway as I don’t live up here. This was the biggest waste of time over a purchase that I needed, and instead of doing their jobs are too busy trying to act like a guardian. Missing a few yards off of a bundle would still save me more money than driving to a fabric store from Raytown. Mind your business.

The store management needs to make up their mind and communicate to their employees on procedures for an educators discount!! Not one of the employees I have checked out with does it the same way and it is very frustrating. I have had the following happen, 1. Discount on ALL items with just my badge, 2. Discount on ALL items with an app the management insisted I install, and finally, 3. NO Discount on sale items even tho every other employee has done it for me before. I have purposely driven out of my way to go there because of the educators discount on ALL regular and sale priced items. I will do it no more!! I will go to Michaels or H.L. where, at least I know that the expectations are consistent.

Was buying material. There were 3 cutters and one was training a new employee. WHY there would be a trainee on a day with a huge fabric sale is way beyond me.Also there is NO ONE in the cutting area that will die of a heart attack as slow as they move.I, for one, will no longer shop at Joanns. My purchases will now be made at Hobby Lobby or Walmart.I was kept waiting over an hour and there were several people who got disgusted and left so there was a lot of money lost today due to inefficiency.Above everything else there were not enough carts so maybe that should be addressed.If I could pick no stars I would.TOTALLY DISGUSTED CUSTOMER!!!!

Joann Fabrics is like a candy store, with every flavor for all..and lesson and machines....its the only place you should get your fabric. Choices a plentiful, and prices are good and they run coupons in sore and fliers....Ive carried bolts of fabric home....you gotta see this place onN BARRY Rd...

The only reason I shop here is because there arent many options in KC where I am able to find fashion fabrics. I wish this city had more places to choose from. I have never received good customer service from anyone at the cutting table, however some of the ladies that work the floor have been OK. I usually shop the Independence location, but I have also been to the Overland Park store and get the same results. Some of their fabric prices are way to expensive. Its a shame that I have to travel to San Antonio or Houston every year to stock up on fabrics. I wish there was a Fabrictopia here.

I love joanns but honestly when you have 20+ people waiting in line for fabrics and you cant serve them in an hour, thats a problem. There isnt any fabric I need thats worth a 3 hour wait. You need to change up how you do things or not allow people in your store. Thats just ridiculous. I will go to another store for fabric before I go back there.

This store is taking Covid19 more seriously than any other Ive mustered up the courage to visit. They were pretty serious about social distancing, super serious about mask enforcement, and still managed to be polite. I reccomend this one over the one in shawnee if anyone would like an opinion hahaThe fabric selection is BONKERS as well, 10/10.

Definitely dont go here for wedding items ( cake toppers) decorations gifts etc. The one isle i was shown looked like a thrift store going out of business. Few items scattered around on empty shelves. I should have taken a photoWaste of time.

I understand safety protocals but when I come in and the ticket is on #7 and I have number 49 prepare for a super long wait. Like more than an hour. I walked laps, I read chapters in my book. We prepared to hang out for a long time.

Always find what I am looking for. They are doing an amazing job of sanitizing the carts and sanitizing in between customers when they are getting fabric cut. They have an amazing assortment of yarn!

Nice store. A lot of product but half of the items dont have prices on them or are difficult to find which product goes with the price tag. I had to take items with no prices to the register with me just to see how much it was. Literally not even a scanning tag on them. Quite ridiculous to me especially when you factor in that there was only one cashier and he had to keep asking other employees prices on things; not only taking up more of my time but the customers behind me.

I love Joanns but I cant ever find anything in there. Its very easy to get lost and it seems like I always have a hard time trying to find someone to point me in the direction of whatever Im looking for.
