A DECENT SIZED MUSEUM! For the size of Kalispell this museum is great. Its got history and youth! I met a young man who said he was the director, I thought he was trying to get my goat, but after talking to him I found him to be knowledgeable and he even gave me a personal tour and answered many of my questions. Would definitely recommend.

It was really interesting. My girlfriend and I enjoyed looking around at everything. The front desk lady’s were very kind. It was only $5 per adult. It was definitely worth it for the money.

This is a nice historical museum. It is housed in an old school building that has been converted to a museum. The first floor has a room about Frank Linderman, another about the Native Americans of the local area, a bookstore/shop and topical exhibit. The second floor has a room dedicated to logging, another on the area and what happened to the boom towns, a meeting room and another room with lots of old pictures. I would plan for about an hour. There is a small nominal fee.

This beautiful building hosts pieces and pictures from the past. One travels back in time honoring the people who lived and preserving this history for future generations.

After taking my son to this museum we both liked it. He enjoyed learning about the history of the area and Montana. We need more museums and more people to understand that we need this history. Too much is being lost and forgotten. Kalispell is a tourist city. If you are going to make a trip please take a moment to visit. It is worth the $5 to gain so much knowledge.

I have a personal love for this place. It was the building that all 7th graders in Kalispell went to school until the end of the 70s. My old classroom has been converted like all the others into exhibit rooms. The history and memorabilia of the Flathead valley are displayed very uniquely. Its always a pleasure to visit Central School museum.

Multiple levels and rooms of historical exhibits to see and read here. A couple of nice ladies up at the front desk will help direct you to exactly what you want to see if youre in a hurry. If not they give you a little overview of the whole place. The building itself is also awesome! A very Grand and beautiful old school building. Super cool that it got to retire as a museum and not get knocked down to make way for a more modern School. Im not sure what I enjoyed more the building or the exhibits LOL both are definitely worth your time if youre into history and learning. Theres also a lot of green grass to get your kids out of the car for a run or a dog but clean up your doggy doo lots of people use this area

Ther museum is interesting in itself, but we used one of their rooms for a family went as well. Its an inexpensive but quality option for small to medium sized events in a historic location.
