Someone helped me find knit fabric and then she and I discussed what I needed it for and she said Id need a quarter yard. So for less than 3 dollars I got a piece of t- shirt material that made 8 pieces about 8 inches square, which I am using to mitigate some rubbing from my knee braces which normally drives me crazy in minutes.And it was pretty quiet in the store so I also got helped at the checkout counter very quickly.

Lady was very helpful in helping us pick out the right fabric. Very knowledgeable.

Please be aware that if you buy from them and you take something back you will only get a gift card back no matter how you pay for it. If you love out if town dont over buy unless you go there all the time. I will make the decision to where I spend money.

I liked the girl in the silk floral department, she was quite friendly and helpful and so was the checkout clerk.

Absolutely love going in here and getting lost in all the fun crafts and supplies they offer. They usually have great sales going on too! Got everything I needed there, to make this badboy. Ob an I had a hell of a good time doing it!

Despite being over priced, i was in this store 2 days in a row...Saturday and Sunday. Several employees are new but knowledgeable and kind at the cutting table despite the absolute madhouse it was on Saturday. I took a ticket when # 18 was called .....i was 26 so had plenty of time to witness how the owner? manager? treated her employees....HORRIFICALLY. I then had another 1/2 hour wait in the check out line and more of the same treatment ensued for her cashiers. Sunday, the store closed at 5pm when it states 7pm on their website....apparently due to LACK OF STAFF (go figure!) As I was leaving the store I said to her Have a nice evening. Her response was a glare over her mask and silence. I will not be purchasing anything in the future.

Staff are very helpful and they go out of there way to explain how to make sewing better.

Great selection of craft items and always being able to use a %off coupon helps.Dont care for the cinnamon pine cone smell at Christmas, too strong.Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.This is close to where we live so in the winter in pinch we can usually get what we need so we dont have to drive from in the ice and snow.

My daughter and I attempted to get mask kits for making face masks after hearing from my sister-in-law who is an ER nurse how badly they were needed. When I called Joanns I was told that they were out of elastic so they weren’t providing any kits. I called back and explained to them that being avid sewers my daughter and I both have sewing machines and an ample supply of proper elastic- once we were able to have the guidelines in a pattern we could make a positive impact for the community and they refused to provide us with this important information. Just repeatedly said no they’re not going to do it without elastic. How sad that some people can’t put forth even the smallest of effort in this time. 😢

Helpful, knowledgable and caring are words that come to mind after my visit there. I went in looking for parachute cloth for a new project I am working on for teaching. I left with a material that was very similar to a small piece of military flare parachute material I brought in as an example.

Fabric everywhere! A wonderful selection and anything you could need to go with it. Several other crafting supplies. Their app is full of coupons and if you dont use it things could be very pricey, they do have regular sales which is nice but like I said it is very expensive to shop here.

Jo-Anns Fabrics was one if not the only Fabric and Craft Store in the valley for a long time which gave them pretty much a monopoly on most of the goods so its probably good that we have a Michaels and Hobby Lobby and other stores to help create competitive pricing and products for consumers I havent shopped here much but I tend to think that most everything is much more than what I would want to pay if it wasnt for a coupon that I could find online or in one of their advertisements

I run to JoAnn probably once a week. Seasonal decor, quilting & sewing accessories & my favorite - embroidery thread and magazines. They even carry cross stitch magazines from the UK. The staff is very helpful and always so great to talk to. Sales and coupons always mean a good deal. Be sure to download the app for the best coupons! I wish I’d known about that one sooner haha.

I needed to find a button replacement for my seat belt. I stopped here and a sales attendant pointed me to a good solution. They pointed out those buttons that had a metal post that went into a metal backing - No sewing . It worked great for replacing the button on my seat belt strap.

I love Joannes, and am here multiple times a week for personal and business needs. I wish their collections changes a little more often when it came to popular character prints and more of a selection for sports team prints but otherwise they have never been out of things I needed and the staff is courteous and knowledgeable.

Small store but has a nice selection of items. Lots of weekly sales and there are coupon opportunities (mobile app) to get a great deal. Ive picked up everything from fabric to yarn and jewlery making items. What I dont find much (in this area of MT) is a wide selection of card stock and supplies. Typically just an isle or two around here. Half the time I go in there is just 1 person in line before me with one cashier other times I have to wait through about 8 people and still one cashier. The fabric cutting area is very popular, so there is a wait time there as well. TIP: if you need fabric cut, go there first to get you number in line and then do your shopping! Long wait times is why I had to give this 4 Stars.

It was a humongous selection of arts and crafts and supplies. They had a large closeout/discount section with a variety of items and the pricing was very reasonable.

This is my wifes favorite store. She would live here if she could. Staff is always helpful and knowledgeable, and the fabric selection is great.

Getting better and better. A few years ago we just stopped going because the site was so under stocked. Now, the staff is friendly and the shelves are stocked.

There was 4 clerks, the 1 at the cash register tried to help me, the other got mad and told her too stay at the register, 3 were helping 1 customer while I kept asking for help for someone too show me where a item was, but apparently it takes all 3 to cut fabric for 1 customer. Sounded like they all knew each other and just wanted to visit. The clerks are too laid back in their job too care about customer service, Ill try Hobby Lobby next time...

Honestly, very rude staff at the cutting table.Despite being asked I am sure a million questions a day, the rude and Intolerable behavior is uncomfortable for others not involved to hear and while the cashiers are usually friendly (Suzanne is my absolute favorite) as a regular shopper...I loathe having to ask the cutting team for assistance... in any fashion...

Have just about anything a craftsperson, or in my case, wannabe craftsperson needs. For instance, I wanted a cheap sewing machine for a project. Will probably only use a few times. They showed me a $80.00 basic machine. She took the time to explain all the features, even carried it to the register.PLUS, who can complain about their coupons.Again, I always try to buy local. Too many local stores go out of business because of the big box ones AND the internet.

I like the new layout they changed to a few years ago and I love their fabric selection. The bead selection is nice but can be frustrating. I literally spent 20 min looking for purple seed beads, which after a time made me feel delirious and made me question the entire existence of the color purple... Did I make it up? Am I crazy?... Probably. Anyways. The one thing I feel like its very lacking here- as far as I noticed- is they dont carry a very good selection of drawing and painting materials. If youre looking for alcohol based markers like copic or winsor Newton or even fine liners like faber Castle or micron, Id say youll find a better selection at Hobby Lobby and Micheals. And I dont even know what paper they carry or what paints they have because its so limited. I know the last time I looked, and I pretty much always look when Im there to see if its improved, I just remember being very disappointed. But thats honestly the only thing that I dont like about the store. Definitely my go to place for fabric, they usually have great sales and coupons if your in the mailer or have the app.

Good place good prices nice employees

Store is dirty and cheap looking. When I asked where to find an in stock item I was met with a shoulder shrug by the employees and told to dig through some messy piles of fabric because they didnt know where the fabric was. They were confused when asked them to honor the lower prices posted on their website and insisted they couldnt do that and it was too much trouble. They eventually figured things out after consulting another employee. Sadly the overall vibe from the employees is incompetence, disinterest, and rudeness.

The only reason im giving this place a 2 star is because the employees are great. However, the shelves are usually half empty or a mess. If im wandering around, then it gets a bit difficult to locate help, as there is usually only 2 or 3 employees in the store. There arent many options, other than for fabric.

Out-of-stock store. The store looked like it was going out of business. The shelves were mostly empty and the three employees we asked to help, well, they knew NOTHING about the products we were looking for (or any information about the products). Just go to Michaels across town; cleaner, friendlier and they know about the products they sell.
