34000 miles on Goodyear tires with a 65000 mile warranty that they will not honor. Normal wear, frequent rotations. Tires should not have to be replaced but the tread is shot on all 4 tires. They charge a fortune for the install work ($500 for the tires, almost $1000 total price) and then won’t stand behind what they sell. I’m getting better tires with the exact same install work for $700 with nicer people elsewhere. Free Service is a ripoff and I will never go back and I will be telling everyone I know to stay away.

First and foremost the two guys at the front desk are outstanding and super friendly. My issue comes in when I realize Ive paid higher than average pricing for services that have not fixed the problems with my vehicle. I came in and paid around 400 bucks to fix some brake squeaking..issue was not resolved. Paid 125 for check engine light diag and rough idle....issue was not resolved/has returned...heres the big one....paid 800 dollars for a power steering repair...the power steering now works but its still relatively stiff. Consider other mechanics before coming here.

Absolutely incredible place to take your vehicle for repairs. Explained to Carl that I was 500 miles away from home and had absolutely no idea what was going on with my vehicle and he got me in right away. They took it for a test drive. The mechanic then took it into the shop, lifted it up in the air and noticed that my left tire was extremely loose. They tightened everything back up again and was able to get me back on the road again. Thank you so much Carl and staff!

Free Service Tire has been servicing my familys vehicles for many years. They have taken care of tires, brakes, and other service needs for 4 vehicles and I have never had any issues with the quality of the repairs and maintenance of these vehicles. Their prices are competitive and their staff is always friendly and helpful.

This is the most positive mechanic experience I’ve ever had! Normally when I go to a mechanic they tell me I have 101 things I need to change and charge me a ton but this place got me in and out for free and relieved all my worries. I went in because I thought the starter on my car was going bad but they quickly let me know what the real problem was and even gave me a suggestion as to where I could go for electrical work. So courtesy, kind, and knowledgeable 11/10!

Was on 26 and ran over something. Tire went flat in a minute. I thought the tire was shot. Nursed the car to their shop with a 12 volt pump and a can of spare tire. Carl was great and the service was straightforward and fast. Myself, my girlfriend and our two dogs were invited into the waiting area. What could have been a real pain turned out better than expected. Nice to find a friendly and honest shop!

I set up a appointment online for my 1996 truck for front tires. I get there they don’t have the tires after they said they where in stock at location. Then trying to charge me 120 dollars for a 2 wheel drive vehicle front end alignment when it should have been about 60 to 90 bucks I would been satisfied with just small adjustment if anything the alignment was bad and I need a fix it would care how true it would have been anything would be better then now

My daughters tire pressure light was on and tried checking fuse and tire pressure, nothing worked so I took her car here explained to a great guy there Garrett Hartman what was going on and after maybe 5 mins he had resolved the issue, some of the tires had been over filled by the place she got her oil changed and also there was this very particular steps you had to do when resetting it. Well I asked do I owe you anything he said No your all good. I was so grateful other places would of probably charged some diagnostic fee but not this guy. Big shout out to you Garrett you sir are awesome!!!!

Excellent customer service! Id picked up a nail in my tire and they got me in quickly to look at it. The customer waiting area is comfortable and I didnt have to wait long. Also, since the nail didnt puncture the tire they did not charge me. Just super nice workers. I highly recommend.

I replaced several suspension components myself on my F-250 and needed an alignment. I had originally scheduled an appointment somewhere else (that was not a Free Service shop) but when I showed up, I was unable to get aligned because they said their alignment guy called out for the day. They got me an appointment only a few hours after I called and they did a great job at a great price! The staff was kind and helpful, we will definitely be back! Based on our experience with them, there is no way we would go anywhere else when we have issues with our vehicle.

Five stars. The products and services were provided as described. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. Ive dealt with Garrett and Mike both before. Both of them and the rest of the staff Ive encountered have been great to deal with.That being said, from the counter perspective it seems like a sales environment, which is neither good nor bad. Theyre going to recommend other things you may need (to varying degrees of urgency) and try to (like everywhere else) sell a warranty. For that reason, the first price you hear might be more than you expect depending on the circumstances. Just ask questions line by line to understand what theyre recommending, why theyre recommending it, and how much you need/want it. Theyll kindly explain it. If you see the value in it, go for it. If not, then dont. Its simple as that.

Dropped my car off after finding of all things an allen key stuck in the tire. I ended up leaving car and walking home as they were busy. It didnt take as long before he called to let me know it was done but I fell asleep and missed the closing. Im happy to say he didnt have an issue that I didnt show up and he stored it overnight. I had a coupon for an oil change $24.00. They said my car could only take a more expensive change, which after being charged $75.72, I looked up online that my 2011, 6 cylinder camaro took the conventual oil, not the more expensive oil. The next day I decided to give them a test, and brought my 2013 Rubicon in for the same cheaper oil change, just to see if they pulled the same scam. Well after a 1 1/2 the assistant manager told me that they had broke off 2 lug nut posts, and that I had to pay for it!!!!!!!!! But it wouldnt be that much!!!!! Well again the oil change was supposed to be $24.99, I paid $70.70. This is the biggest rip off Ive ever seen. How is this my fault?

My mother recently passed and I was tied up all day with attorneys, insurance, etc and I had to call twice in the same day to change my service time, they were very understanding and very nice. I was going to Kingsport for oil change because of the service I got there...I dont think I will be needing to make that trip anymore.

Called to set an appt, I was put on hold for about fifteen minutes. I had to call back later to get an appt set. However, when I was there, the guy was very respectful, polite, he explained everything step by step. Although he did not have the smoke machine needed to find a gas leak in my vehicle, he took the time to make sure that I understood the process and what the next step was. He even helped me find another shop in the area, that maybe able to help. I would definitely return to them for service.

Honestly, its easy to be reluctant about car service businesses because some arent known for being the most honest places to deal with; thankfully this has NEVER been the case for me. Quoted me $445 for front rotors and pads change.....and thats after free pads from previous warranty and purchase from them 2 years ago.I literally went 2 miles down the road and got rotors, pads, and labor for $250.Wow.They wanted $195 more, for technically less. And stated it would take 1.5 hours.The guys at the honest shop had them on in 40 minutes, were $195 cheaper, and got a great laugh out of that quote.#ripoffreport

I have been screwed over a handful of times in the past by car dealerships and technicians. First time I went here to get an oil change, they told me I needed rear brakes. I said I’d wait on the brakes and as I left, I heard loud squeaking as I slowed down. I thought the mechanic messed with my brakes so that I’d have to spend more money since the sound started right as I left. The manager, Mike, kindly explained how it was dust build up and put the Jeep back on the lift immediately to have the mechanic rid the dust. I have been back twice and both times, Mike has been good at explaining options and prices.Only issue I have is how much I was charged for Spark Plug replacements. They charged me $203.56 - $20.89 per-plug for 4 plugs and $30x4 for labor. I understand labor costs but the plugs sell new at $4 a plug, not $20. So essentially they’re profiting 400% from the product. The average price for this service in Johnson City is about $115.I still plan on using Free Service in the future. I plan on doing more research before I make my visit, and I prefer to speak with Mike about my vehicle.

Free Service Tire was very helpful in replacing my tire. By the time I got there they had it off the tow truck (my brand new car did not include a spare 🙁) and on the lift. When I gave them the go ahead it only took a few minutes and was much more affordable than I had anticipated. We have used free tire often over the 6 years weve been here in TN. From the first time my husband returned from an oil change, he knew hed found a treasure here in Johnson City TN!
