Very good place to shop for records. Owner very nice.

Might very well be the best record store I’ve ever been in. One can get lost searching through the vast collection. Weekly if not more often, the shop gets new records and the owner is great about sharing the new stuff via social media. Love my local record store.

These people are vampires who will only pay the most minimal amount for good records - and then sell them for hgh prices. The seller deserves a fair offer for his records instead of the ludicrous $1.00 or $2.00 offers they make for records that are sought after and desirable. These people are dishonest and without integrity plain and simple. Will never visit their store again. Dont try to sell your records there, their offers are insulting and they are purely there for themselves and dont care about buyers or sellers.

Very pleasant experience! Brought some records in to sell and they were very quick and thorough with what I had. They didnt accept all of them but of the ones they did accept I got a decent amount of money for it. If I have anymore records to sell in the future Ill be sure to be back!

Real bummer on the quantity of actual records on record store day available. Called in advance this week to be told atleast 3 of a record my brother was interested in would be there. Showed up right before 6:30 am to be early for the day, only to be told there were no copies to sell. Also had 6 additional records on my own personal list with not a single copy available. With only a few people in front of us it was simply that they didnt have them. Walked out empty handed and disappointed.

I made my first visit today and was impressed. Prices were reasonable and they had a wide range of selection. The store was clean and orderly too. The man at the register was knowledge and helpful. I will be returning for any future record needs!

How things change in a couple of years!Out of the three decent record shops in Jacksonville , Y&T are now leading the charge in affordable good used and new vinyl. They appear to have a large selection of CD as well but I have not browsed those.Very nice and decent staff who usually cut a bit of a price deal if you purchase multiple items which is excellent.

1000% best old school record shop in town... its like a museum and a record store all in one.. Walls are covered in autographs and platinum gold albums. Rock n roll heaven.

This place is a must visit in in Jax. This store has a great wide selection. My sister and our daughters really enjoyed browsing the records and left with some great finds. Will go back if I ever find myself in that area of Jax with extra cash.

Nice and organized just alot to look thru really dont carry lots of classic R&b or gospel but guess good stuff they keep behind register and sell it at a higher price I rather use eBay or target for records more easy and labels arent confused

Lots of musical variety in all forms of physical media. Aisles are small, so not much room for social distancing. Seems like employees arent told to wear masks. If you want first dibs for rare finds you should follow their Instagram and DM the owner, hes chill.

The staff was excellent, selection great, and even the response from their Facebook page was prompt and polite. Make time to dig through the crates at this store and you will find some gems.

Found this Retro Record shop, on one of my many ventures into San Marco. This is hands down the best record shop i have been into in years. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Feels like going home, when you walk in, something you will never get in a major retailer like best buy or target. Make sure to stop by the gem, you will not regret it.

Ive known these guys for years and they are trustworthy and very knowledgeable. The selection rotates a bit and new stuff is brought in all the time. Ive found some real what the hell is this doing in a little record shop in Jacksonville gems there. Highly recommended for collectors.

Always keep them high on your list as theyve been here for decades, and they have the hard to find items.

Decent prices, most of the records are in great shape. An old building, but theyre making the best of it; its very nice inside. On the rare occasion you find something that looks warped or moderately scratched, you can give it a spin on the equipment they have set up. The owners know their stuff.

Always a great experience going there and looking for those hidden gem records. The staff there are always friendly and helpful. Probably the best place to record hunt in Jacksonville.

You will not find a more helpful staff anywhere! I bought a turntable from the store TWO YEARS AGO and its had a fair share of issues recently ranging from needle/cartridge issues to faulty rca cable, due to the age of the player. Billy graciously and for a fair trade value fixed the RCA cable and replaced the needle/cartridge. He never seemed annoyed by my lack of knowledge on repairs. Super friendly and great selection of records!

We had questions concerning complete restoration of a 60s phonograph. (motor not operating, parts corroded) Though they do needle replacement & some repairs, they helped me immensely with the info that the people who used to do the extensive work I needed, are out of business. Im so grateful to Yesterday and Today Records for saving me a lot of time searching! Friendly staff!

Very cool shop. Parking in san marco and riverside is always an issue. I parked at the library and walked over, tons of parking over there and surrounding the place. It is a vinyl wonderland inside, the aesthetics are wonderful, autographed vinyl and posters everywhere. I can see someone spending hours just looking around. I purchased Dark side of the moon for $15 and a new reissue Stone temple pilots for $22. Overall it was a great experience and some place i will continue to come in the future.

Its a magic record store and youll always find something cool something youre looking for and maybe something you werent the owners are always cool.

Went to the store for the first time on Saturday and they have a large selection of records to buy. I was about to buy a live Beatles album . But I decided to buy The Beatles Box set , I was not disappointed with my purchase . This will be my new record store to go to . I recommend this sore for anybody that wants to buy great records .

Lots of choices, and they will buy and trade records too. They don’t buy CDs from what I can tell, but they do sell CDs as well. I bought 6 albums there and they all work great, no scratches or warping.

So, called to see if they knew any information about an 80s-90s photo of the original Lennon Wall, in Prague, that I had found in my boxes of packed stuff. I figured its pretty priceless considering they painted over the wall and you cant go and see the original art.Halfway through my story the guy hung up on me.Super disappointed! I have no idea about music memorabilia and thought they would be kind enough to educate me or direct me where to go to find out more but, guess not. Thanks a lot guys.Definitely, not even worth one star.

Huge collection of vinyl and CDs.Rock, reggae, rap, jazz, folk, classical, country.Rock memorabilia, posters, collectables.Helpful pleasant staff.This is the best record store that Ive been to in Jacksonville so far.I also have heard that they can help with record player technical issues as well.Long live rock and the record store!

Place looks much bigger in the pictures. Tried to sell the cashier some hard to find 12 inch singles and the guy offered me an unbelievably low offer. The guy claimed that no one would be interested in these records, but doing research on the internet tells me otherwise. Cashier was very pretentious and claimed he knew a lot about music. I was not impressed by there personal selections of Elvis records and k-tel compilations. Complete waste of time going there. If you are a serious record collector, music producer, dj, avoid this place. You will be more lucky finding something at your local Goodwill store. Records were also in poor, beat up conditions. You could not pay me to take any records from there.

They buy old albums & My friend had slot of really good old albums-Jimi Hendrix, etc, but they didnt want to pay anything really. One album was valued at over $200 online but they would only pay $1.30! Thx but no thx!

Excellent place for crate diggers, whether your a DJ or just a collector this store has some hard to find gems, youll just have to dig around, the staff is very helpful, the prices are unbelievable, either priced too high or reasonably low, theres always a great find.

I was a frequent shopper at Yesterday and Today in the early 90s thru early 2000s, and I was very disappointed when they closed the Baymeadows store. I was glad that I found out they had reopened in San Marco all these years later. I hope it will be a similar experience from here on out.

Add a couple pinball machines and an owner who is knowledgeable and friendly and youve got a business that kicks Amazon and Best Buys asses all day, every day!
