The new owners are rude and not customer focused! I bought tap shoes for my daughter and she tried them on at her tap class. Shoes were small and she took them off. I came to the store to exchange them and was told they were used and they are not able to exchange them! What?! I asked if she was serious? My daughter did not dance in them they are small, thats why I came back to exchange them! Very rude, unprofessional and not customer focused! Never going back! What a waste of 40$! I hope they close down soon with that attitude!

I reluctantly came to this store recently. I was expecting the previous owners dance store, and was pleasantly shocked when I walked in.Their selection of leotards is stunning, beautiful, and unlike anything I have seen in Jacksonville.Gone are the bizarre (and often unprofessional) practices of the old owner, which had been the reason I was so reluctant to visit. Today, we were just getting fitted for uniform leotards, but I look forward to doing a lot more shopping here!

Called to ask if they had any of the old style of Gaynor Minden in stock, and was treated very rudely on the phone.

Today was our second fitting with Danzar and once again had a wonderful experience! This is my daughters first year on Pointe- Rosa and her team are very knowledgeable and took the time to make sure my daughter had the perfect pair of slippers giving excellent guidance along the way. Booking our appointment online was quick and easy and we will continue to come here for all our dance needs. THANK YOU!!!!

Came here based on a recommendation from the owner of my daughter’s dance school, Dance for Joy. I told them my three year old was in need if ballet shoes for her first class. They brought out a couple pairs and fit them on her feet until the right ones were found. Great customer service!

Pam and Lauren are absolutely wonderful! We have been frequenting Pams store for several years and cannot imagine going anywhere else. They consistently go out of their way to help.I do not say this lightly. We live in St Augustine and there are a number of stores much closer. It is almost an hour drive from our door to her store.Knowledge, experience and customer service is everything. Great personalities are a bonus!

Pamela is so sweet and helpful. They didnt have the exact size and style shoe my daughter needed for dance, but she was kind enough to loan a pair that would fit until the other pair I ordered came in. That is the absolute definition of customer service!

I absolutely love this store!! I am constantly In need of dance shoes and when I come to the store the ladies that work there are always so attentive, especially Rachael! I love the fact that I can pay for shoes in advance and then pick them up whenever I need them. My dance group uses the store to get our leotards and the owner always offers to bring them to the studio. I don’t get this kind of service anywhere else.

We have been shopping at Dance n Stuff for about 10 years now! Ms. Pam and her girls are so amazing. We will always shop at Dance n Stuff for all of our dance gear! ; )Nothing is better than having and expert working with your dancers for all of their needs. Dance is a big investment and Pam has saved me thousands over the years. No matter how far I move she is just a phone call away.

This dance store does not care about their customers...I took my daughter there to purchase 2 types of dance shoes, they had 1 in her size and had to order the other pair which were $85.00 tap shoes. I waited until the promised date and when they didn’t show up I called and was told they would get the issue straightened out, called 4 more times and all I got was the run around, I asked for a refund and was told by the owner that she would have to check on it with the bank?? she had my information but never would call me back, I again called 4 more times asking for a refund, could not get anywhere with these people. I called my bank but it was too late to dispute the charge since it had been more than 30 days. I never got a refund or the tap shoes. I would never treat my customers like they did me. I told other dance parents, where my daughter attends, about my experience with this business and they said they would make sure not to refer any other parents to this dance store. I can’t believe they would risk losing customers over $85. Will never do business here again!

Weve been going to Dance N Stuff for all of our dance needs for several years. Ms. Pam always makes the time to help with pointe shoe fittings. If they dont have what we need, shes always able to get it! Love, love, love the personalized service! Wouldnt consider going anywhere else!

I have been shopping at DnS for many years now and it is a pleasure doing business with Pam! I cant remember the last time Ive been to any other dance supply store in Jax. I always feel welcome and as if our needs are to be met. She will immediately order items if sizes, styles, colors, etc. are not in stock and even deliver to your studio. We are grateful for always feeling like family when we walk in the door!

Updated spring of 2020:Im going to leave the old review, below, so you can see the contrast.This shop is in the same location as a previous dance shop with a different owner (who was the one the previous review was about). My daughters school has their new uniforms through Danzar, now, and I had to go pick up a new one. I was nervous, because we only had a couple weeks until they were needed, and in the past, six months was not always enough time.I walked into the shop. It was DEFINITELY not the same... Besides the updated layout, the leotards on display? They were just gorgeous -- several steps above anything Ive seen on the racks in Jacksonville.Also, although I dont have a male dancer, they had the best selection of male dancewear Ive seen! I dont recall any boys -wear in the old shop, and the other shops in Jacksonville have a very limited selection. DANZAR has a variety of styles and sizes. Its nice to see someplace to fill that need! (Without male dancers, we dont have ballet!!)The owner, Rosa, was with a customer, so we had a few minutes to browse, and I cant wait until we can go fun shopping for non-uniform leotards! Even the plain black ones had gorgeous detail.Next, we got to the counter. She helped us quickly. We ordered one leo for this year, and one for next. (Different colors). One week later? We had the new leotards in-hand.Now, this was a customized order, so I paid in full in advance, as makes sense. But we discussed the previous owners policies (ie: pay in full, always, even for products you cant try on first, and no returns/exchanges.) I was assured that -- with standard inventory items that are simply out of stock, theyd call when it came in (like a normal store).I didnt have to listen to lectures about how badly the business was doing because of the internet, like I did every single time with the previous owner.My order was delivered to the studio promptly. I didnt have to follow up with them, or have them lie to me, like the previous owner.I came back in last night, because I needed another uniform piece, and a last-minute performance leotard.I was nervous, because I didnt see what I needed for performance out front... but I asked, and she had EXACTLY what we needed in the back. (She even pulled the right size the first time.)But wait, theres more... My ex-husband shares custody of our dancer. They keep her records on file, so he can walk in and say, I need another leotard for Dancing Girl, they look her up, and can give him exactly what she needs.DANZAR is exactly the shop I was *hoping* to find 2 years ago. This is what a dance boutique SHOULD be!!I really wanted to like this store.Unfortunately....The first time I tried to buy shoes here, they were not open (a half hour after they were supposed to be). So we went elsewhere.Recently, they became the exclusive uniform provider to The Florida Ballet. It is mid-August, classes start next week, and leotards ordered in early July are still not ready (with no word of when they will be).But it gets worse. My daughter needed new shoes.They didnt have her size. The woman insisted on ordering them... and then charged us full price for shoes we did not walk out with.Pretty much every time we try to buy shoes, she doesnt have our size, but insists on charging us anyway. I have never seen this bizarre practice before. Normally, if I order something at a store, Im not charged until I pick it up. Not here! Money, up front! No returns!From now on, the only thing we will buy here is the uniforms we cant get anywhere else. After all, there are multiple places in town to get shoes, tights, and hair-supplies.Ill go where theyre less pushy, and I can order sizes if I need to, and still look around.I just hate even pulling up to this place anymore!
