Had my van break down on me on the way to Miami from Albany. Was able to get it to hilltop motors and they found the issue within hours of opening the next morning and had it ready shortly after too.Fuel pump power supply went bad on my 85 westy and it’s been running beautifully since. Purchased a rebuilt engine from this guy. Leaks oil out of every gasket. He put a used (damaged) gland nut and flywheel on it. Dont buy anything from this hack.

The mechanics here are always recommending high priced services for my fathers vehicle. Every time he goes there, he ends up spending hundreds of dollars. I believe that these people take advantage of my Dad, making them just as bad as a Jiffy Lube.

My friend recently went to get some parts he didn’t know he needed for a sand rail I have been helping him with and they sold him rusty bearings for the front control arms full price ($25 each x4) and, even though he specifically asked if there was any other options, they denied it and basically dumped their old stock on him.He was trying to get it back together so he could take it home so we tried to use the bearings but they weren’t usable and got damaged on installing the controls arms due to the rust build up on the inside of the races and needles (and outside even though I sanded that).He had to stay until Monday and in that time he found out there were polyurethane bushings available to replace the outside bearings. He called hilltop just because we didn’t have any other options and asked if they had them in stock. They replied that they did and they were $15 for a four pack.So instead of telling him about the $15 bushing pack when he asked if there was another option they denied it and sold him $100 worth of crappy bearings.Won’t be going back here in the future.

Wasnt able to purchase my VW today from these guys, however they will be my go to service shop...Established, knowledgeable, friendly and not pushy sales and service.

A Complete Letdown! So I drive 40 minutes from my home to HTM because this is going to be an exciting day for me and surely I will need to talk in person. I asked the gentleman sitting at his desk if they do complete restorations. Everything from the mechanics, to electrical, and body work, I need a total restoration, and there is surely much $ to be made. He lets me know that they indeed do complete restorations as I desire, but they dont have employees to do any of the work. I was stunned that he would let me walk out the door because HTM for whatever reason neglects to hire help. I told the man that HTM was my first choice and if he wouldnt do it I would be taking it to East Coast Restorations in St. Augustine. Again he said they lost 3 workers a while back so sorry, they couldnt help me. Not what I was expecting, thought it was going to be a happy day for both myself and HTM to score a ground up restoration job. Again they just let me leave, sorry, we dont have any help. Just a suggestion to HTM, hire some help, its not that tough and it sure beats turning away work to your competition that have the simple intellect to hire help as needed. Social media can be very damaging as well as rewarding. I am simply be sharing my personal experience , which was a total letdown.

Said they would order a part for me and call me when it was in a whole lot of time passed no call I called back a week later and said they have had it in stock and they dont know why they didnt call me then proceeded to install the part only to not fix my problem tried to fix other issues thinking that it was another problem took it back to them a month later said it was broken and that if I buy a $45 part it would fix it so their solution to selling me $100 broken part was to sell me another $45 part
