I am using this shop for the past 6-7 years without any problems. The owner is very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. My latest experience is that due to my emergency I have to take my car to the shop and they repaired it within an hour at a reasonable cost and I attended my meeting in time. I was happy at their timely help and service.

Very satisfied with the service that AutoTech provided me today. I have never experienced the customer service that AutoTech provided to me on a personal level. I text the office on their Facebook page, what was my concerning issue with my vehicle and was told to bring it on in. I was in and out in no time. Problem solved. I have a GS 350 Lexus I took it to these guys for some repairs when I drop the car off the only problem was it wouldn’t start they had it for two weeks the communication was very poor I go to pick it up after they called me and told me it was ready I had to leave and come back six hours later because it was not ready piss poor communication I paid for the car being repaired got in the car and the check engine light Was very bright I walked back in the shop and notified them and their response was oh yeah I forgot to tell you it’s gonna be another $350 to get the light to go off I’ve had this car for five years and never had any issues I would never take a car back to them and if I could give a negative number I would maybe you have a better experience I would not chance it

AutoTech inspected a used vehicle i was preparing to buy and found numerous flaws in repair work done by the seller. Most of them would not be noticeable to the average driver. They saved me from buying a truck that would definitely give me problems down the road.

My good friend Rhonda J. had been telling me about this shop for years. I finally took my Ford Edge in for what I thought was a transmission issue. Thankfully it wasnt the transmission but throttle body issues. What impressed me from Stephanie at the service desk to Mr. Patel and the breakdown of what the issue was with my car and how the part had been manufactured by a new manufacturing company as the former was no longer making the part., was the wealth of knowledge this shop possess that calmed my fears upon entering the door. I’ve been coming to AutoTech of Irving for close to 15 years now, and I’ve lived in the Frisco/McKinney area for most of that time. Why do I travel all the way to Irving? I travel all the way to Irving because a great auto repair shop is so rare to find. What makes AutoTech so great is the fact that they are extremely competent in what they do, and at very fair price. More importantly to me though is that I trust them implicitly, knowing that I won’t be taken advantage of, which is very hard to find!

I have used AutoTech for past 10 years and I cant help but keep coming back to Jim either for the repair work or simply advise. I wish i had a doctor for my family as good a mechanic I have for my vehicles.Jim and team is honest, modest, empathetic and will relate to the customer pain points. Jim is extremely smart, adept and will go out of his way to explain you the details of the problem and will seldom leave you with one solution. He is the best, definitely better over any dealership nonsense.No one is perfect, but to acknowledge and be upfront, honest and always think whats best for my customer even if it means less money in my pocket - takes lot of wisdom. First time experience with AutoTech to perform some maintenance services on my BMW 535. I found the owner Jim Patel to be extremely helpful knowledgeable. Also found that the mechanics are highly trained and prices are reasonable. I will definitely use for future work.

I give them 10 STARS!!!! I have a 2001 pt cruiser that kept overheating. I took it to Goodyear I had been going to them for 10 years and they couldnt find the problem and said it was probably a blown head ($1500 job). We replaced the radiator, thermostat and radiator cap but it still overheated. So I decided to take it to the dealership thinking since they specialize in pt cruisers they would find the problem. So $140 and 1day later they tell me my whole fan assembly is out and wanted to charge double of what Auto Tech charges. I found Auto Tech online and called and spoke to Jim the owner and took my car up there the same day. Jim is the professor of mechanics and explained everything to me where it made total since. He said he wanted to run his own diagnostics test because sometimes the dealership gets it wrong and charge you more for things that dont need fixing. He called me bk and said it was only the fan module not the whole assembly. They will def get my business from here on out!!! I would def recommend Auto Tech hands down they get right to your car and have Very reasonable prices!!! I havent had any problems since they fixed it :)

AMAZING!!!! This place is fantastic!!! They take their time to make sure every part of your car is perfect! It looks just as good as when I first bought it, running better than ever. They do take awhile, but thats just because theyre taking such good care to make sure there are no imperfections. PLEASE go to them! They are SO worth it

They charge a fair price and have a friendly staff. Jim always contacts me and explains if they see anything unusual during any maintenance and doesnt oversell. He even told me that I didnt need a particular service yet after looking at my Sienna. Hard to get such honesty!

Great place I found out about it when my transmission went out and my Insurance towed my car here. Ive then since probably took my car there maybe 4 or 5 other times. Never had a problem with it not getting fixed. Its kinda expensive but they do a good job and so far have gotten it done right the 1st time. I would recommend/have recommended this place to my co-workers or anyone who lives in the area.

I recommend this shop. They have been checking my car and my familys ones. Their mechanics, specially Lee, are friendly, trustworthy, honest, and knowledgeable. They dont trick customers to add or replace the unnecessary part. They have been doing great jobs for a fair price.

I have gone to Autotech for my vehicle services for nearly a decade and now many family and friends have joined. Service is friendly, competent, and thorough. Jim and Le do a great job walking through the issues and explaining problems thoroughly. And youll be pleasantly surprised at the automotive knowledge of the staff working the front desk! Prices are a little higher than smaller shops but you can rest at ease at the end of the day that you have received quality work!

Ive been taking my cars here for maintenance for about 5 years now and love love love it here. Reasonable prices and everyone including the front desk staff is extremely knowledgable about cars. The customer service is impeccable. I just picked my car up from having paint and body work from a major accident and they did a great job. Ill never take my car anywhere else.

Went in after being told by battery store that I needed an alternator. Scheduled to bring my car the next day. They preordered the alternator but also a starter just in case. Went in at scheduled time and it was a starter and they were able to fix without waiting for parts.

This is a great place...they are very friendly, quick & fair. If you need a place you can count on to take care of your vehicle & you, I highly recommend them.

I regret not posting this earlier they are the most trust worthy shop by far in the area. The service is always A+ service with honest assessments of whats wrong ive never heard of anyone ( and i know a lot of people that are customers so many friends and family have been referred by me and by them in turn)getting recommended a repair that wasnt actually needed. Trust worthy shops are hard to find. The price isnt the cheapest around , but it is still very fair for what they do, and the value of know your car is fixed right is more than worth it.

Everyone here knows what theyre doing, completely honest, and always resonable pricing. I would strongly recommend this shop. Theyre also pretty quick in getting the job done. I live out of town and still come over here to these guys. Very professional.

I recently had my 1999 Ford Contour serviced here and I couldnt have been more pleased. Over the phone they gave me a quote that was at least $150-200 less than Pep Boys or Firestone. They even quoted me a wrong price (which was lower than the actual) and honored the lower original quote.Not only was the work done the same day and before the promised time, they even noticed my low coolant light was on and refilled it without charge--add to that no charge for the initial diagnostic check (something Pep Boys and Firestone wanted to charge $25 for.)I will definitely continue to take my vehicle here and I recommend you do the same.

Although I didnt get the repair done in my totaled car, the people here were still extremely helpful in the way that they handled my situation. Especially Jim the owner and Stephanie at reception. AutoTech of Irving replaced the brake pads for half the price BMW dealership quoted for my 7 series. Very friendly staff, knowledgeable techs and run by a great owner, Jim. Highly recommend.

I will never recommend anyone bring there car here. the only great thing about this establishment is the tow guy they recommend. I brought my Mercedes C240 in for just a diagnosis check. I advised the owner that my Cpu may have water and to check it. It took them 5 days to let me know the cpu had water and that they was going to dry it out and try and put it back in (ECU) I then wait another 3 days for them to tell me they couldnt get it started and the i need a new fuse box and ECU. I then ask does my fuse box work and the gentleman did not give me a clear answer. I then stated just put my car back the way I brought it in and ill pay the labor and diagnosis fee. I was then later notified the guy who works on my car was on spring break and i had to wait until he got back. I come back to get my car 3 days later and it wont start, battery guard in my back seat hood wont close and to make matters worse the guy says well we put it back together but you took so long to come pick it up the car drain the battery. How does a sitting car drain battery? I recorded our conversations and I have pictures. I use to work for a auto shop and the integrity of this place is horrible. The owner then tells me its all semantics. I was never irate or confrontational and to be treated as such is dis heartening. If you have a foreign car be careful of these places.

Consumer Beware:This establishment used to be reputable and worth recommending to others but during my last 3 visits I have dealt with nothing but bad service.Visit 1: I bring my car in to replace a belt, they tell me its only going to take an hour; I wait for 3. During the third hour Im told that the belt is the wrong size and I need to purchase one from NAPA next door. I tell them no problem - but the assistant manager has the nerve to tell me to hurry up.Visit 2: I bring a car in to replace a headlamp. They keep the vehicle for 4 days then finally call me to tell me that they cant replace it. They tell me that the light has moved and they dont want to be responsible for making any adjustments. Charged 50 for diagnostics.Visit 3: I bring in a car for AC Diagnostics. They keep the car for 5 days, finally call me and tell me that its my AC compressor and very labor intensive so the cost will be $1900 dollars. (AC Compressor was new). Why did it take 5 days? I decide not to move forward and am still charged 129 (which was to evacuate the system, refill and check for leaks). Why did I pay this that service was not provided and/or fulfilled.In summary each time they have call it take days to get to give you an update, once they do they provide you with a high price - if you mention that the national standard for that repair (which you can google) is much lower then what they provided.. the somehow come up with a slightly lower price. I have no idea how this place stays in business. The only good thing to say is that the receptionist is cordial, but I feel sorry for her because she likely receives a lot of flack for how this place is managed.

I was fortunate enough to find this shop about 11 years ago by just picking them out of the phone book. I have been taking my car/s there ever since as well as recommending them to anyone I can. They have always been so helpful and never look to take advantage of the situation. They are repair masters and will thoroughly explain the problem and almost always give u a couple of different options to help fit your budget. They told me once that they charge about 60% of what a dealer shop would charge & even though I had already trusted them by that point, I did call a Honda dealer just to get an estimate on something that Auto Tech had fixed for me and the dealer was indeed about 40% more than what Autotech charged me. I can not recommend them enough.

Called to get an estimate o. getting a vehivle in and they told me they would not work on it because i purchased my own parts sounds like you just wantn to charge for parts

Autotech is the best! I took my car to another shop and they told me that I had a blown head gasket. They said that I had to replace my whole engine for a cost of $4000. I found Autotech online and decided to go in for a second opinion. Jim and crew told me what I really needed was a coolant by-pass hose, a new thermostat, and an ignition coil. Total cost--$300. My BMW has never run better! They were able to fix it that same day while I waited in their beautiful office with free WiFi, flat panel TVs, cofee & donuts, and a super friendly office staff. - They have won a customer for life. I will tell everyone I know about this place. Highly recommend!

Have spent many thousands of dollars at this friendly shop. However, last three jobs have required frequent returns for work not completely done, or done incorrectly. Not much cheaper than dealer service in many cases. Although pleasant folks, I will not return.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! THEY WILL COST YOU WAY MORE THAN YOU SHOULD!!!I bought a part from a store and needed a place to install for me. They daid they would do it for a service fee of $75. The next phone call I get was a guy stating that the manifold had been stripped and whoever had touched this before had caused itThe fun thing is, nobody has touched that part ever other than GM when they built the car. I am out over $1,000 because of people that dont know the difference between turning left and right. By all rights, there should be a civil lawsuit.

These guy are actually honest people helping others out the best way they can and stand by there word. I would suggest thatanyone who has a problem with there car go to Auto Tech of Irving First.

Courteous staff, reasonable prices & excellent work!!

Took my car in because it was misfiring. I had replaced the spark plugs, wires cap and rotor. Owner said he could get to it quickly which he did. He also stated they could diagnose the problem in less than an hour and have me up and running shortly afterwards. 6 hours later they could not find the problem but, they did break a spark plug wire and leave the distributor bolt loose so the timing went haywire in a few days. Around the 5 and a half hour mark the owner sat next to me in the waiting area and said they could not diagnose the problem and said it was most likely the ECM or brain of the car. He also stated he could replace it but it would be very costly. I declined his offer and retrieved my car. After I left the auto shop I filled the gas tank and the car had no more misfiring. I went back into the auto shop and brought that fact up to the owner. He stated he noticed the gas was low but did not think it was the problem.Thanks for wasting 6 hours of my life and costing me more on repairs for new spark plug wires and to get the timing reset.P.s. The owner talks a big game but will it be worth your time to go there?

Do not get your inspection done here, these people are so crooked. They overcharge you ans fail your car for minor issues, then laugh about it, i dont eve know how they are in business

I came in today for something very very minor. Needed some screws to my undercage. Waited an hour and a half which was outrageous when I asked how long it would take and the person said pretty quickly. Person told me 65 then when paying it was 70. The labor was only 25 mins or so which was very annoying for the wait and the cost. Was charged 5 dollars for sales taxes? I feel very ripped off. I could have went to the dealership for that cost. I dont see myself coming back.Update:Complete garbage and FYI if you leave a negative review the owner, who is extremely unprofessional and lies, will try to make you look like an #%^. WENT TO ANOTHER SHOP AND WAS INFORMED THIS STUPID PLACE NEVER REPLACED THE SPLASHGUARD THEY JUST CHARGED FOR BOLTS LIKE THE *^%HOLES THEY ARE!! Stay away from these crooks.

You know the cliche - there are no honest mechanics! Well thats not the case at Autotech. They are not only honest, but trustworthy, friendly and very knowledgeable. The owner Jim has been very willing to answer any questions, spend time explaining, and has even recommended a few times that I not spend money with him, because a repair is either not necessary or not worth the money (Ive never had another mechanic do that!) Over 6 years, Ive taken 4 different cars there and have had approximately 12 mechanical repairs done, from minor to major. Plus we do all of our oil changes with them. Weve rarely had any issues, and in the few instances in which a small issue developed, they were quick to resolve.I will take my cars to no other place, and have referred at least 3 others to them.

Talk about answered prayers...my biggest fear next to dental work is having to contend with car repairs. Although this time it was scheduled maintenance, the BMW dealership in Grapevine wanted to take me to the proverbial cleaners. A friend referred me to AutoTech in Irving which now homes a specific EuroTech annex which SPECIALIZES in not only my Beamer, but the VWs, Mercedes, etc... (Im told finding a competent independent repair specialist for European cars is next to impossible)Anyone with a German car in the D/FW metroplex in need of scheduled maintenance or repair, do yourselves a HUGE favor and call these guys before automatically taking your car to the dealers. The AutoTech staff are ALL competent, professional, and very patient when explaining the needed services - critical if you are a layman like myself. Where AutoTech goes above and beyond is with customer service and VALUE. Conservatively I saved well over $200-$250 over the Grapevine dealership, with FACTORY parts and even FASTER promised service time.And the EuroTech bay where my car was serviced was STATE OF THE ART.Thank you Jim, Mr. Le, and staff for making this a STELLAR service experience.

Gave a huge estimate for the repairs after geting an estimate, I thought of contacting the dealerahip for second oponion and that thought was worth. The repair cst me much more cheaper than what was estmate given by Auto Tech...

I would stay away from this place...i brought my car here 48 hours later they couldnt even find my number to call me. Not only that they didnt even do the test they are supposed to run on the car. They just tell me its the coolant when the oil light comes on. I never did a review on here but I am so upset that companies get away with just by saying bs. So to help the next guy I am going to let you know stay away.

First Experience:I needed a tuneup for my Cadi, so I shopped the prices at about 10 shops in the area. These guys were first of all the nicest and the most knowledgable over the phone. They also quoted me a fair price. I got the tuneup done for half the price that the dealer quoted me, and they used oem parts. This shop is the real deal. AAAAA+++++++++Second experience:This time my a/c went out in my Caddi. I had extended warranty coverage, so I took it to the dealer. :( Guess what? Crest Cadillac did not honor it! They quoted me $2800 to replace my compressor and a few other components. I took it to Autotech for a second opinion. I did need those items, except Jim quoted me $1250 for the same stuff. I went with Autotech and I have ice cold air again. Another Highly Recommend review from me. These guys are legit.

There front office just like to get yourMoney as they can ; they charge 130 for just telling the Ac need new compressor ; just ask to charge 45 $ for checking that initial issue like I paid twice before , or even apply this unused 130 to the labor when I will bring the part the answer was ... no will not make our full profit if accept ... no care for customer satisfaction just only how he makes money from the customer
