No other leather company can beat its prices for the quality of leather it sells, and the variety...totally unbeatable!If you hang-around long enough, might get some tips, tidbits, and/or lessons about leather.Landwerlen Leather is a goldmine for leather crafters. When I visit, Im like a kid in a candy store.

Hands down, my favorite leather shop. I dont feel like Im getting robbed when I need a piece off leather or suppliee. Problem is, I always buy more than what I went in for.... Hard to turn down such beautiful pieces of leather!!

Had an AMAZING experience here! I was looking at leather at various other places (like Tandy, or other online stores) and saw this place in the google listings. I decided to check it out, and I was not disappointed!I had budgeted for prices that I’d seen online, and was able to get everything I needed for less than a third of that, and there was so much more! Everything is super high quality, absolutely amazing. Plus, with how they order their items, they get in a lot of really awesome niche and hard-to-find leathers.It was my first time, and the workers were so kind explaining the system, and were super helpful recommending things for my projects!10/10 would recommend, I’m so glad this store is here!

Always loved going into this store it truly is a gem to the city of Indianapolis and it has always had what my grandpa and dad have needed in their shoe repair endeavors.... big thank you for keeping it going still to this day guys. I havent found a leather supply within 100 miles with as extensive a selection, or as courteous and helpful of service.

I absolutely love Landwerlen. Its so much more than leather. Its the shop itself, the deep local history, the cobbler goods, leather tools, dyes, cleaners, sealants and loads of hardware in multiple finishes. For those willing to dig a little, theres hardware gems you wont find anywhere else. Theyre always patient despite my endless list of novice leather-crafting questions and very accommodating to me and my 2 young boys during our typical 2+ hour visits. I wont buy my supplies or leather anywhere else. About that leather, theres everything from top-shelf luxury hides to, what I like to call the Inspiration Buckets, scrap barrels full of orphaned cuts of every type, shape and shade of leather oddity one could imagine. Its usually in one of these barrels that my next project reveals itself. I dont even go there with project ideas anymore. I just hang out long enough for the projects to find me. Check the place out. You wont regret it.

If you’re tired of the retail industry standard and want to get an experience of what it’s like to have people that are knowledgeable about the craft, then this is the place for you! To be honest, I could have spent hours rummaging for leather and building my next project. Can’t remember his name, but the gent that helped us was so laid back and more helpful than any place I’ve been before. Definitely going to be my go to place! And I love the traditional feel, it made me feel like I’ve stepped back a hundred years...back before people would turn up their nose for not being a cookie cutter layout. Got my business!!!

I ripped my leather jacket and thought there was no hope left for it. Went to multiple places and said there was nothing to be done. Came here thinking they might know someplace that could repair it and instead they recommended me a product that fixed it like magic. Plus they took the time to walk me through the use of the product which was very convenient since the product didnt come with directions. I was willing to spend a lot of money for a repair when they just had the product I needed at the fantastic price of $2. Thank you for your hard work.

This is the type of place you hope will always be there. Its like stepping back into time when quality was king. The service was great and its just fun to look around and see what leather project you might want to do. And I only came in for a pair of leather laces for my shoes, going there was the best decision I could have made.

This place is great. I picked up leather working as a hobby and there is a lot of information you can find on the internet, however it can be a bit confusing due to the amount of information. Going here, you can ask questions, get advice, etc.. and they are honest and straight forward. Also, the building is pretty darn cool as well!

I live in St Louis area and have been to Landwerlen leather twice, and planning to stop again soon. They are a fantastic place to get anything leather related. The service is great and very knowledgeable and helpful. Love their scrap pile (not the tiny pieces like you see at Tandy). Prices are great.If you’re big into leather or just investigating- this is the place for you.

I came here yesterday to get some supplies for my hobby (making earrings). John was super helpful in explaining how the store was set up, recommending products and resources. Its obvious that he has a passion for leather and Ill definitely be back for more items and advice!

Ive been leather crafting for only a few months, the gentleman and the owner have been nothing but helpful whether its tools, materials, or even leather working knowledge. This place has all you need and they always guide you in the right direction. Another cool thing is, their leather selection is always changing from assortments beyond our borders. I could spend all day in this place.

I was in town for work and was lucky enough to be staying right around the corner from the store. They are great here. Awesome prices, like really awesome prices. The owner was great. I’m a beginner and he was super helpful, he’s a 3rd generation leather crafter and it’s good to be able to patronize a small family owned business. I only bought leather supplies there but I saw some of his shoe repair work and it was very impressive. Bottom line, you won’t be disappointed. Guarantee it. I live 6 hours away and I literally would make a special trip there if I needed enough stuff.

The store is a Must See if you are a craft or leather worker. Prices are good, leather quality is excellent, and you can get all your basic tooling and hardware as well. Oh, and they have great inner soles and other shoe products too.

Was in there with my Dad in February, he was buying replacement soles and heels for his cowboy boots. I went back in March for dye to fix a faded black leather jacket. They had exactly what I needed and told me about two different products, how to apply them, and what results I could expect. I was able to make an informed decision on which product to to buy. Price was right and advise was good.They have practically anything you could need to do whatever leather project youre doing or they can get it.

The best leather store in central Indiana, IMO. Awesome selection, customer service, and great prices! I LOVE going through the $4 per lb. scrap leather barrels. You can save a lot of money on small projects there!

John and Eric are always incredibly friendly and helpful, the store itself feels like stepping back in time. I could spend hours here if I only had the time. Huge selection of leather, hardware and tools, and if they dont have what youre looking for odds are really good they can find it.

Go here. They have what you need. There are hides of all sizes; they have patent leather, fleece, glove leather, sole leather, all kinds of sizes and thicknesses. They have heels for shoes and other shoe parts. They have leather dye, and polish, and waterproofing and other care products. I found the leather punch I wanted and the Fiebings dye I wanted, then I just wandered around looking. They have sinew and needles, punches and tools, and the prices are as good as youll find anywhere. Seriously, try here first and you may save yourself a trip.

Very well stocked leather supply store. Eric and John are very friendly and knowledgeable about leather use and leather supplies. Fun to shop at a store with such a large selection of supplies along with helpful advice.

If they dont have it, they can get it for you and they are happy to do it. Eric has been in the leather/shoe repair business since he was a kid and John is very personable and is a great leathercrafter.They have a great selection of leather, tools and supplies. Whether you are a novice or a professional, they are a great resource to have here in Indianapolis.

Im a novice at leather work. Landerwerlens has a great assortment of leathers and their pricing is very reasonable. The store has been around since the early 1900s and hasnt changed much. So, even if youre not into leatherwork, its a got a nostalgic atmosphere thats irresistible to any history buff.
