Dustin was out today for our furnace check-up. He was professional, polite, respective of our house, answered my questions, and overall provided great service. We have used Northern since 2010 when they installed our HVAC system. I would encourage you to always do research when needing a repair and negotiate. Northern does tend to be on the higher end of a repair cost, but I have found them to be reasonable when pushing back on original estimates.

Guys that come to do maintenance are always friendly, helpful, and thorough. We installed a new furnace & Dustin was *excellent* in maximizing the space in our attic and placing the duct work intelligently. He made sure it was done right and that everything was cleaned up before leaving. I cant imagine using anyone else.

I am very pleased with the installation of a water heater in my basement. The technician was professional throughout the entire process from entering my home through the clean up and explaining in detail exactly what was done.

Northern Comfort has been wonderful. They are very responsive and professional. We purchased a whole home humidifier and air purifier last fall and it has made such a difference in our home. My family’s allergies have been better and the air just seems cleaner. My son was getting nose bleeds from the dry air and he did not have a single one after getting the humidifier was installed. Joe was quick, precise, professional and experienced. He cut a clean hole in the drywall, found and diagnosed our water leak quickly, and repaired it without any fuss. Granted, it was a minor problem but I would use them again for anything major. Their prices are fair.

We were a long time customer before moving out East and then returning to Indianapolis. They installed a new furnace, AC compressor and water softener late last fall and came back to service both HVAC units. Joe is polite, professional, explains the work he did and even cleaned up after himself. A rarity for a lot of service companies. They even called ahead of time to say somebody was on their way. We would recommend them to anyone that needs service.

This company does not value or respect customers’ time. Most customers are home due to the pandemic working and teaching their children, so they do not always have the ability to answer their phone. A reputable company would give you a call ahead and still come out. A poor company like this one, tells you that if you do not call them back, they’re not coming out and they mean it. The time I spent waiting for them I could have already had a reputable, customer friendly company service my unit.This company was one of many that I contacted last year to give me an estimate on installing a new faucet in my second bathroom. I did not go with their estimate but of the three companies I contacted, once this company got my information I began to get junk mail, junk email and phone calls advertising their services and trying to sell me one of their service contracts. Unfortunately, I have not figured out a way to stop their junk mail, but I did opt out of their emails and blocked their number, so I no longer received unsolicited phone calls.Fast forward to this year, I was looking to get a tune-up on my furnace for the season. I remembered using them last year, so I called to schedule an appointment. HUGE MISTAKE!! The day of the appointment I waited all day, and no one arrived. I called when it got late in the day and the girl I spoke with told me there was a note on my account saying I need to reschedule. When I asked her why, she claimed they called and when there was no answer, they left a message and I never called back. Like most people, I screen calls, so if I do not recognize the number I do not answer. I only received one message that day and it was one second long, so I know they are lying. When I relayed this info to the girl, she told me again they did leave a message. I was not in the mood to argue but that should have been a red flag. I rescheduled the appointment for the following week and again they were a no call, no show. This time I did not mind because I had an emergency, so I was pressed for time but unprofessional none the less. I rescheduled for a third time and again no one called or showed up. At that point I was heated and decided to look for a reputable company. The following day I did actually get a call and there was a message left stating “they were ready to send someone out to me but before they do they need a call back to confirm someone was going to be home.” I was VERY heated at that point. I called the number back letting them know that they scheduled the appointment for the wrong day and I have already wasted two days waiting for someone to come out.

Michael is the reason I use Northern Hearing and Cooling. He knows he stuff and it is one less thing I have to worry about as he has it covered.Professional and Intelligent.

I had boiler pipe leaking problems. I had several companies estimated and checked, I read customer reviews, eventfully I picked Northern comfort, because they got the highest customer views and their price was not too high compared with other companies. Manager Giianee designed one of the madfildes, plumber Joe, worked so hard, repaired all the leaking pipes, they did great job! I am glad that I picked Northern comfort Systems.

I had a sewer pipe burst over a holiday weekend. They came to my Rescue and fixed the old cast iron pipe. They had to cut it out of two Block Walls in my basement. The techs also fixed a stuck water main shut off and toilet. The guys also checked out the remaining cast iron pipe making sure it was all in good shape. I will definitely be using them in the future and recommending them to others in the future.

We have been using Northern Comfort System for over 6 years which included a new air conditioner, numerous boiler and plumbing repairs. Gianni, Aaron, Justin and Tom were always professional and explained the work that needed to be done. Gianni also taught me how the boiler worked. Joe came out to do a sump pump inspection and make a couple recommendations on the drainage line. While here I had him quote a couple other plumbing items. He was very willing to quote the other items and provided a VERY reasonable quote to fix the issue. Our air conditioner went out over the 4th of July not to be really noticed until Sunday. My husband called and they put us on the list. We got a call at 8:03 Monday morning. Brandon W was here before noon. After trying a new capacitor which didnt solve the problem we opted for a whole new A/C and furnace system because of its age. He gave us several different estimates. We chose one and he was here at 9:00 a.m. the next morning. He worked steadily until 6:00 p.m. at which time everything was up and cooling. He was very professional. On a follow-up call today he tested the furnace not having wanted to heat us up more at the previous service call. That was extremely thoughtful of him. Highly recommend Northerns service from the office staff to the technician and equipment.

He explains everything before hand and then after everything is done he explains what was or was not found. I like that he enjoys his work. Michael goes the extra step when he does not have to. He even labeled all my Valves for the main water, water heater and gas so that in an emergency situation when I might not be thinking straight, I can find the correct valve quickly. We were experiencing very high energy bills during the winter months. Our house has a heat pump and since this was my first experience with a heat pump I thought the high bills might be due to that system not being efficient. I called North Comfort to come out and look at our furnace to see if they could figure out why our system wasnt running efficiently. Found out that the new thermostat I installed last winter was not hooked up correctly so it was only using the aux heat source. The tech rewired the thermostat and now the heat pump is working. Northern was great. They were able to send someone out the same day I called. The tech was great and explained what he had to do and then checked to make sure everything was running. I would highly recommend Northern Comfort.

Northern has been taking care of our heating and cooling needs for several years now. Our home is older and we have had routine servicing, repair and replacement needs over the years. The office staff is always friendly and accommodating, and service technicians are on time, respectful and professional. Before we had to finally replace our system, all efforts to conservatively service / save it were made. Northern worked with us to replace with a comparable system at an affordable price. When I needed a new Rheem furnace, I couldnt qualify for enough financing to afford it at first. I thought I was really out of luck, and saidgood-bye to Michael Beffano at Northern Comfort. The next dayhe called me back with a different Rheem solution that I coulddefinitely afford! His efforts made all the difference!

TL/DR - Tries to stick it to you and their employees.My furnace needed a new igniter, I had diagnosed this problem myself. None of the supply shops had one that fit my model so I called in the pros. I was told Id needed to pay a $89 diagnostic fee in order to get the furnace fixed, I said okay have someone come out. Guy came out, looked at it( didnt touch a thing) told me that I was right, but after looking in the truck, also didnt have the part. Told me he could come back tomorrow with the part and it would cost me $390. This is a $45 dollar part and an easy install). Total of 5 minutes and no solution still cost me the $89. The guy tried to tell his boss to only charge me half or none, and the boss told him it was coming out of his paycheck if didnt charge me the full price.I paid the $89 and considered myself getting off cheap rather than doing actual business with them. Be careful if you do go through with them and make sure you are not getting ripped off for parts or labor.Any company out to make a quick buck and punish their employees for making reasonable sales calls should not be in business.

On a Friday evening Michael came out promptly to evaluate our AC. He was very professional and informed us of what to expect and clearly explained what needed to be fixed. He had it up and running in no time. It was 81 degrees in the house when he left. On Saturday morning it was backTo 72 degrees - 👍🙂thank you!

Have worked with these guys since buying home in 2013. System was installed in 2012, so just now 5 years old. We replaced evaporator coil this summer for $1500 (including refrigerant fill). System was not working right, so called for service. Was told that compressor was out, a nearly 2k repair. Called to share my concern for the cost of maintaining this system was told they could see if manufacturer would help out. Received an email from service manager to let me know that they couldnt do anything else to help and that they really should have charged us for the part and labor so they would be happy to help us out for the 2k (labor cost). Got new quotes from a different company for a better system, better financing, lower service call price and tore out their junk. Techs were always very friendly, but the service office was less than helpful and just too expensive to maintain their equipment. Would recommend looking elsewhere.

Johnnie T. came to the rescue today. Our furnace went out at 11 at night and the temperature outside was around zero. My husband left a message with Northern Comfort Systems and a few other places. Michael was the first one to return the call in the morning, and came and did an inspection about an hour later. Unfortunately it was determined that our Furnace needed replaced due to safety reasons. I feared that it would take days. But Johnnie was available to install the new furnace immediately. He was super courteous, kind and thorough with the installation. He froze his butt off in my basement for hours and kept a positive attitude the entire time. Only a few short hours later the house had heat again. And as a plus, he made sure to wipe his feet off every time he had to go out and come back into the house, and he did one hell of a job cleaning up all of the mess from the work. My husband and I have 3 kids and my husband was leaving for a business trip the next day. So when I say that he came to the rescue, I sincerely mean it! I honestly cannot thank him enough, so I will just submit this review. Great people, I highly recommend you give them a call first.
