We hired flight exterior to install 14 new windows and a new front door and screen door. This review details our experience with flight.April/May 2020- Meet with salesman who was great and decide to go with flight, they had a great price and the salesman was very good. They came out and measured windows and door and let us know it will be about 10-12 weeks to get everything in.Late June/Early July 2020- I call to schedule install of windows and door, only to find out the actual order for my windows/door was never submitted (even though I paid half) and I would need to wait another 10-12 weeks as the order was just submitted. Flight did knock a little off the price for the inconvenience.Mid-September 2020- Install date is here and installers arrive, they were excellent and seemed to do a great job installing the windows. The only issue was the door that they brought was the wrong color and one window came broken. Installers pointed this out and eventually we were forced to wait another 10-12 weeks for our new door and a replacement for the broken window to arrive. Broken window in photos. Also, in my initial order I asked for the paint code for the door so I could paint my shutters etc. to match. They could not find the paint code but because of the inconvenience they offered to bring me new shutters that are the same color as the door for no charge.Late December 2020- Installers arrive to install window/door/shutters. They are able to install the window, but they brought the wrong color door again and no shutters. Come to find out the door was not delivered yet and we would need to wait for the door and shutters, again.Late January 2020- Door arrives and is installed, however it opens the wrong direction and is too small for the opening. Because of this it opens into the stairs leading to my upstairs and is a pain in the butt. Also needed a lot of shims to fit correctly. So again, we wait another 12 weeks for a door that is hopefully the correct color, opens the correct way and is the correct size. Still no shutters. You can see how my door looked for 14 weeks in the photo below.May 2021- Door/Trim/Shutters are installed, could not get shutters that matched the door so we settled for black and we still have a few minor issues with screen door but due to the time frame it took to just fill my order I am not going to mess with it.Choose for yourself, but I would probably look elsewhere.

I waited 2 months before I posted this to make sure I was clear headed and not emotional about it. We hired Flight Exteriors to install several custom windows at our house. It was the worst experience we have ever had with a contractor. I definitely recommend you find someone else for your next window project. If you do choose to use Flight Exteriors make sure you pay them the final 50% at COMPLETION. If you are using their credit to pay for your windows, they will request the final 50% draw, without your authorization, well before the completion date. Once they have all their money, good luck ever getting them back out to finish the job. Our window project took 12 months from start to finish.

Professional estimation, options discussed, and high quality products offered. We are in the home improvement business, so we know how it can go sometimes. Aside from a delay in our window arriving (I blame COVID), the work went off without a hitch. Mark and crew did a great job installing a new huge picture window, and used our fluted trim and rosettes, so were back to good! Thanks Cody and Team for a job well done!

I had siding and gutters installed and the work was done and it was quality workmanship.Although, after doing the research, I would consider Hardy the best, I went with LP because the weight is much less, great warranty and less expensive than Hardy.I would definitely recommend the company, at least for gutters and siding, thats all I had done.I would probably have given the company 4.7 stars, but it isnt possible. No company is perfect, but they addressed all my concerns immediately! That is hard to come by and is what sets a company apart from others.I am considering them for future work as well.

We had Flight Exterior replace all of our windows and a back door. We had about 7 companies come out for quotes. First, the quote process was much easier and a way better experience with Flight than anyone else. We were never pressured into making a decision like the other companies who gave us quotes. Cody offered several suggestions to save us money while not compromising quality. Instead of trying to sell us the most windows he really tried to help us out. After all the quotes Flight Exterior was not only the best experience their cost was significantly lower than everyone else. Both Cody and Axel were on the job site at various times throughout the project. Their communication with us was excellent. The crew that came to install did great work. I have recommended them to several people already and would rate them higher if I could! The windows turned out great and overall was a great experience.

We had a new Bay Window installed in the living room of the church parsonage. Price for the window was very reasonable. Outstanding company and customer service. The process from beginning to end was simple and pleasant. Communication was excellent. Kept me informed on schedule and appointments. One of the owners Cody did the initial estimate and was very professional. Ashley in the office was very polite and courteous. And the installers were prompt and did great work, as well as being very friendly. they also cleaned up their mess which doesnt always happen with some companies. My experience with Flight Exterior was A PLUS and I highly recommend them if you are looking to replace windows.

We had two windows replaced and the process and installation was fantastic. We are looking forward to working with Flight Exterior again in the future.

If 0 stars was an option, I would want to add negative stars! We signed a contract with Flight Exterior LLC back on December 20th, 2020, for the total cost of $14,700.00 to complete the project to date we have paid $16,210.00 for them to complete a build of a sunroom on our home. It’s now October 2021 and this job has yet to be completed. We were told that after the 10–12-week order time there would be an additional 2 weeks for build time. We were hoping to have the 100% end of April beginning of May 2021. However, this has been by far the worst experience of our lives. It’s going on 10months, and this project has not been finished. Things that were agreed on in the original contract were not completed and they knew from the beginning they could not do and lied to get the contract but didnt tell us they could not do them until work was halfway over. we agreed on a wall mounted AC unit they showed up with some window vent AC unit that we refused to have installed and was charged an additional $2,600 to have the wall mount unit put in. They put in a subfloor that was wrong, so we had to hire another company to fix the issue. They had workers no show more than show throughout the whole process. They were to replace the gutter system during this process any they have yet to do so. We are to the point we are perusing legal action at this time. I would avoid this company at all cost!

OMG---if youre considering this company.... DONT!! Worse ever! I wouldnt even give them 1 STAR, but the Survey wouldnt let me POST unless I at least gave them a rating... Dont deserve 1 star!!!! Sls guy came out, Cody, who, when asked later what his position was, responded, owner! Had to pick up my jaw off the floor! Cant believe I had received the poor service I did from the OWNER!! was nice on day 1, then unresponsive from that day forward! Said hed keep me updated and I had to call him for updates from day one (January 2021) to last communication (8/10/21). Like others Ive read, in January, he tried to sell me a $10,000 front door with leaded glass which I asked for an estimate along with a necessary standard back door. When I called back 1st of March, he relayed he FORGOT TO PLACE THE ORDER! Order placed and 8-10 wks was provided as install date. Im thinking Memorial weekend would be 8 wks, no.....Was about 5 weeks later! Door came and installer informed after 6 hours of what was told would b a 2hr job, that the frame was manufacturered incorrectly and had to be reordered from factory in Ohio. Which is their new company name...no longer Flight Exterior, but is now, Window Depot. Why did it take 6 hours for him to realize it was wrong, was he trying to MAKE it work?? Day of install, 10:00 schedule and no one came or called... Cody relayed installer was ill and put me off another 5-7 days!!! Everytime installer came, he either lost or forgot tools and had to run to hardware store to get another (Nail gun, caulk gun, etc.), R U Kidding me!!? Said he had been doing this 20yrs or more!! I picked up nails from deck and even driveway. They did discount the balance but Ive NEVER dealt with a more unprofessional company in my life! The work was shotty, crooked screws, sloppy caulking, etc. that no one seemed to care about when reported. So glad they are out of my life! I also see they make putting a review on line as difficult as breaking into a Brinks truck! I know why...theyre hoping youll just give up and go away! Take my word for it and go elsewhere!!!

I am very happy with my experience working with Flight Exteriors. I worked with them on installing a new sliding patio door. The install was complicated by needing a very tight turnaround on getting and installing the door. Cody was great in conducting the consult remotely using Zoom and then following up regarding the contract and arrangements. All Flights staff was extremely responsive throughout the whole process. My door was installed by the promised date, and when a small issue needed to be addressed after the fact, Axel spent about an hour making sure that everything was fixed completely.

We had all new windows installed our 100+ year old home (14 total - triple pane). We are beyond happy with the product and our experience with Flight Exterior has been wonderful! No pushy sales, respectful and hardworking install crew, and fantastic customer service. Weve had our new windows for only two months and theyre already paying for themselves with the money were saving on our energy bills.

I have had two project completed by Flight in the last two years and severely more thing that I plan on having them complete around my house. We had some issue with manufacturing and Flight had a plan and worked through the issue. I now have an amazing all season room to enjoy.

As a long established general contractor, rehabbing and building new homes here in the Indiana area we notice both the professionalism and quality that The Flight Exterior team brings to their projects. The management team always comes through with cost savings answers to any questions that we may have. As a homeowner you would be doing yourself a disservice by not calling The Flight Exterior team to handle your door and window needs.

I will preface this by saying that Flight Exterior has never done any work at my home. The reason is they cant seem to even provide me with the estimate. They did come to my home and take measurements, then I heard nothing. After almost 2 weeks I called and they stated I should have received the estimate already and I would have it that evening. They also verified my email address. Now its been over 1 week and I still havent received it. Ive checked my spam folder... Nothing. They are a new company and I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they dont appear to have their act together yet.

The price was very good. I love my new windows They are just what I wanted. I couldnt have had better service. Would use this company again in a heatbeat.

Very professional and the quality of work is above all. They put in a storm door and a new kitchen window. The wrap job on the outside is fantastic. Everything was done as promised, plus. I would recommend then for any window and door job.

Absolute first rate from start to finish. Upon requesting a quote, I received a call from Cody and he literally came out same day. Tremendous value and quality. I not only needed a new front door, I needed the entire frame removed and rebuilt. I was amazed at how fast they did the install.
