This store does have some decent deals, but it doesnt have much stock. I purchased a pair of yoga pants that I could only wear once due to the elastic becoming twisted inside of the pants, which ive never had happened so these must be really really cheaply made. The layout of the store is strange too!

Went in for a storage box today and got these beautiful rugs - perfect for my RV this winter. So nice and cushy. Ive been searching for a solution and all of these were less than half of the LEAST expensive thing I found.On a safety note... Everyone was wearing masks and people were distanced from each other. Youll definitely feel safe coming here too :) Happy shopping

A lot of items were way overpriced. Aisles are very narrow, only room for 1 cart. One employee complained to another employee that she couldnt get things done due to helping others and she was getting upset

I like this Big Lots because it is a convenient stop along the route to places I frequent. It also has a great but limited selection of usual and unusual things I like to purchase. Friendly, but not overpowering staff. Took time to browse and see everything!

Love to shop here and get necessities for the house.. Holiday items taken down too quickly! However most furniture items are not well made.

Bit messy but great deals and great people

You can get SOME great deals, no doubt, but when it comes to housewares like furniture, furniture coverings, etc, their prices are easily beat. They do also have some unique items. Thats my favorite thing to look for a big lots and from time to time, they have very impressive sales...not usually on large items, but the smaller items. Worth a visit for sure.

Usually have things I need in stock. It is hard to find things now, with all the wonderfully entitled folks needing 60 rolls of toilet paper and 32 cans of Lysol.

Like most Big Lots, the store is a bit disorganized, but their deals are always pretty great.

Looked on big lots website online it stated that they had certain tables my wife wanted in fact it said they had 14 chairs on hand at the Madison store I went there one of the store associate said if you dont see it on the floor then its not here save my life although another lady was kind and helpful she looked on the computers stock of what the store had on hand and it said they had 16 on hand, she sent for another store associate he come out and said dont pay any attention to what the internet says for their store stock because its never right. It would be extremely helpful if big lots could correct this problem Im sure they would have a lot more happier customers.

Im glad Big Lots is right around the corner from my house! Theres one lady in there super friendly and you can tell she loves her job. I love searching the clearance and using my coupons and rewards. I think Big Lots home decor section rivals anywhere else. I like their wall art!

I was interested in purchasing some new furniture, but couldnt find everything that I was looking for at the same store. But luckily, I called the Madison St. store and they had all the pieces I wanted. They even had them discounted at a significant price than all the other stores. Plus, the salesman was extremely polite and knowledgeable. Best purchasing experience Ive ever been apart of thank you Big Lots!!!!

Ive been this Big lots about a million times but they seem to be getting their stuff together so I guess Im going to give him three stars because most of the time I hate their service their employees are ugly and as you know if my other posts I love a staff that looks good special dimmable young hot boxes run around. So I dont have to get it together staff still ugly though ☹️

Very well organized with a lot of inventory. The biggest toy selection of any Big Lots I have ever been in. Great selection in each department. Oh, the staff very upbeat, friendly, professional and helpful. They made me feel like I was important.

The manager, Shelly was extremely helpful. We had to furnish our sons new apartment and she did an outstanding job. Whole staff friendly and helpful!

The big lots on Madison Ave. is par for the course. Ive had a couple of incidents with very rude employees in the past, however, those people did not work there for long. I guess Im missing the super nice big lots in Greenwood. It closed some years back but it was a really great store. This location is just run down . Corporate should spend a bit to update and refurbish to make the store more inviting.

I spent about 20 minutes looking for an item. Finally after walking around the store looking for an employee,I found someone that was reluctant to leave their friends. I told them I was looking for an item that was on the website, that showed this store had 13 of the items I was looking for. I was taken to another that said it would be on the shelf. I was dismissed. No one even tried to go and help me look.

We purchased a couch. It was on sale, but the floor model was the last one they had. We were given a discount. A gentleman working there went above and beyond helping me carry it out, and waiting patiently while we reconfigured our van. Theyve got a little bit of EVERYTHING there. LOL

Some of the reviews about Big Lots crack us up. You do get what you pay for when it comes to items such as furniture and so on; although we gave no experience of the quality of those things from Big Lots. We are selective with our purchases from Big Lots. They have fabulous seasonal items that are in line with what you can find at Pier1 and Target for much, much better costs. That helps if you are like me and what to change out your seasonal décor year after year! Great cost, very good quality. We have also found that toys go a long way. Household goods and cleaners are found there are great costs too. Overall a good value. The store we shop is clean, never really busy anytime we’ve been shopping there. The staff is helpful and friendly. Often only one person working the register but we’ve never waited behind more than two people. As long as you know what you are buying, you’ll have no issues.

You can find some good deals and cheap stuff here but this particular one has a few bad seed employees who make unnecessary comments about customers such as talking about my wifes interesting hair color. Shes a librarian. Youre a Big Lots employee. Check yourself.

Great prices

It has been a long time since I was in the Madison Avenue Big Lots store but I am loving the way they have cleaned it up. The Isles are clear you can get down through them, shelves are stocked neatly and clean.

They had exactly the items we went to purchase. Service was fast and efficient, the employee even assisted with taking them to my car and loading them. Great experience
