Ordered a blanket, paid with my $40 jcpenney gift card and bank card. I called customer service a few minutes after placing the order to change my shipping preference. I accidentally put “ship to home for $8.95,”but wanted to change it to “pick up at store”. Customer service cancelled the order(her idea) and tried to reorder it. It wouldn’t go through because it was ordered with a gift card. She said it would be 24 hours for my money to go back on my gift card. That didn’t happen. I called again 2 days later. I was told they would send me a check by mail, that didn’t happen either. The 3rd time I called customer service the young man was extremely rude, using the Lords name in vain, cursing at me and being very unprofessional and rude toward me when I asked to speak to a supervisor. I never got a supervisor, but he transferred me to the furniture dept…? The lady there was very apologetic and nice but, she also told me there was a 4-5 day wait for my money to be put back on my card. This is day 6, no money has been returned. I’m so shocked at the actions of JCPenny. It upsets me more that they have taken my gift card money and just totally ignored my requests for a refund. It was a simple request with putting money back on a gift card or changing an order status. I would have thought that a store that sells gift cards would have a regular plan of refunding that money!! Be wary of this company! I’m out a $40 gift card from my son!

Very happy my girlfriend found a dress. Sweet! I didnt have to go to a hundred different places. It just needs a little more organization going on

The Big & Tall Section used to be so nice and complete. Its been going downhill and yesterday, it was in total disarray with very light inventory and sections empty or converted to store clearance. Even the home section was very sparse with sections just piled with odds and ends. Very disappointing! As they get ready for the holiday season, I hope they will restock and reorganize everything back into a beautiful store in order to have a chance to see more years in the future.

Amazing prices. It sucked that the elevator didnt work and I have a double stroller. They suggested that I taken the stroller on the escalator with my kiddos on it.

Id say the best place about JCPenney would be the portraits. The manager runs the place greatly even on the hollidays when she has no workers she stays strong and handles the situation like a professional I would greatly recommend this place for Holiday photos and photos in general.

Some organized but its the people who made mess all the time and i am witness. Lady was looking for tops for her daught in children clothes section throwing stuff like she is really angry.Good job done by employees

Extension rods are hard to find, but I was fortunate to find what I was looking for.

I went in this store recently and this location is looking rundown including the Sephora which never looked like that. I went to Sephora and there was only one lady helping customers. Where was the rest of the staff if there is any? There was no music playing and it didnt have the glam that it usually has. The rest of the store including the floors looks bad. This location needs to remodel and look like the one that was on Michigan Road even though it closed. Maybe this one is closing, thats why they not bothering fixing it up.

Ive always been a big shopper at JC Penneys. I was sad when their store where I normally shop closed. But I found another one. I love their store.

Very busy place. No help shelves and all fitting rooms closed and shelves empty the cashier we had was very helpful. Had to get a manger to help us find what we were looking for. Everything was scattered , another part of the store was completely empty of clothes. Etc

JC Penney is my favorite store at Castleton Square. Its has more things to choose from now and plus I order from them almost monthly. I wear a size 4x which is not usually in the store but is certainly online. I purchase 90 percent off my clothes from JC Penney plus for my grandchildren

If you shop here than you know that you are used to mediocre products and low quality service. Anything that you can buy at the store can be purchased online for a better price somewhere else.

How often are the trash cans emptied and the trash picked up at your establishment? Yesterday, August 2nd, trash cans were overflowing and apparently no one cares. Keeping the mall clean shows respect for your customers.

When I physically shop at JC PENNEY, I prefer this location. Theres variety and usually availability of displayed items.

The retail clerk provided exceptional service in assisting me with finding a small gift.

It was very hard to find black pants for my elderly dad. 90% of the mens pants had a button closure, (which is very difficult for him to do) instead of a hook-type closure. Also, the dressing rooms were a wreck with clothes thrown everywhere. The wallpaper at the entrance was all torn up (see photos). I have always liked JCP, but what is going on?

Constantly disappointed by this Jcpenney. Ordered clothes from the online store for delivery to this location. Never got an update and when I contacted JCPenney, they then decided to tell me they could not get pants. Also, their salon is a joke. Its barred off most of the time and never have openings according to the website. I could keep going but Im just disappointed.

I love my J.C. Pennys! They have a great big and tall section for men! Im 6 foot 7 inches tall and they have a great selection for me! They have regular peoples clothes as well!

Visited the Salon area to change an appointment and I found some great deals on nail polish and hair products. As a professional myself, there is a good selection of top brands of hair care for clients to maintain in between service. The stylist that cashed me out for the polish was very friendly and gave me a few pointers on childrens apparel that was on clearance. I was able to find my daughter a few pair of pants at an affordable price. This was a good visit.

I was told there was a good sale today on childrens clothes. It was disappointing to find out it was not so. And couldnt actually find childrens undergarments. Few of the nice comfortable cottons I was looking for.

Very limited inventory,, to bad used to be a great store. Now çustomers order on line only to return the item for being wrong. Customers are needed to keep people working.

At first this place was good for me and my family to come and get pictures taken, but now this has become an awful place for me and my family to come to. They rush you, insult you, and move super slow. I JUST now received my pictures since COVID and now that I have received them I am completely dissatisfied. I will not come here again, and thats disappointing.

There are alot of NEW Clothing Selections in the Juniors, Womans and Womans Plus Departments. Such a vast selections of Apparel/Clothing opposed to racks full of the same look. This is what makes JCPenney a GREAT place to shop! Variety is stocked well!

They are ALWAYS so nice even when I am not buying anything. A wonderful selection of awesome clothing, accessories, and housewares. I will be BACK very soon!

JCPenney had alot of sales and if you have rewards discounts the items are even cheaper. My daughter bought a bathing suit that was $14.99 and she had $10 in rewards she only paid $5.00 & change. Love JCPenney. Great customer service.

We went there to look for a collegiate sweatshirt for a Christmas gift. The selection was quite limited and therefore we went to another department store in the mall and found a larger selection.

Standard department store. Good selection of men’s business wear on the 2nd floor. If you’re a man looking for reasonable brands and prices this Is a great place.

Staff was wonderful, just very understaffed. If you want to remain relevant, bring on the customer service or you will go the way of Sears. Happy with the products, hire additional help and additional check outs.

I always have a good experience here. Every employee I passed today made a point to say good morning. One of my items didnt ring up the sale price and 2 employees were quick to verify the actual price and get it sorted out fast.

I always have good luck at this location. The store has been going through a remodel and it is looking refreshed. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. The parking lot is a little dark and could use more lighting, but that is on the mall owner not the store.

Store laid out well. Excellent prices if you watch sales & check clearance. Have found very good clearance items/prices here. Can be crowded on weekends but tolerable lines.

Lots of selection. Got several golf shirts, golf shorts and long golf pants here. Great sales.

I like Pennies clothing and shopped at the Iowa (class A) store almost weekly and found great deals and purchases. But this store is a class B store, very limited selection, pricy, and not very good sales. Have not made a purchase there in five years.

Found what we wanted, but the store was messy and workers were walking around on their phone. Didnt get acknowledged once until we went to the checkout counter. Im not snooty, I just used to work at JCPenney, and I know thats not how we were supposed to act.

Dark and dingy location. I f this location stays open, it needs new lighting and updating. Customer service was awful compared to Greenwood.

We have been shopping in JC Penney for the past 5+ years and we were really happy with our shopping experience so far, but just one visit to this store has completely turned it around. Something is off at this store, the pricing displays and the items around that area dont match and we discover new prices at the counter when checking out. We were really disappointed, will not be going there again

Its pretty neat! The people are really friendly and the store is always clean and presentable.

We needed a suit so we initially went to another store that deals specifically with mens suits which was too expensive. We tried here and found what we were looking for , for a third of the price we would have paid at the other place. Definitely check out the mens suit section they have bigger sizes just for men and lower down their is a slim fit section catered to young men and teenagers. No tailoring needed.

I received a call from my daughter to pick up some items she had on hold in her name. I went to the customer service desk and requested the items on hold for my daughter. The customer service rep was very nice & professional even though it was 7:30PM. She treated each customer like they were the 1st customer of the day. It was fascinating & refreshing! She disappeared to go look for the items. She returned and asked me if I could give her a description as there were too many hold items to locate mine by name. I had no ideal what was on hold so, I told her I’d text my daughter & do some shopping & return with the info. About 45 mins later I returned to the line with the necessary description for the items on hold. The line was long. I had the pleasure of watching as the two customer service reps received & assisted the customers. It was beautiful. The customer in front of me had a cute little boy who literally tried to break everything he touched. He needed to be in a cart atall times! He was treated like he was invisible. The parents had to control their child! 😂 Kudos to them for not chastising the child. Then it was my turn. She did it again, treated me like I was the first customer of the day!!! 🌞 I love good customer service but I’m ecstatic when I get great customer service this late in the day!!! Hallelujah! I gave her the description and 3mins later she was ringing up the items. I was also able to use a coupon that she assisted me in finding since I had pulled up the wrong one on my phone. I thanked her and left with my purchase. I had to go across the street but I had such a positive experience that I went back , stood in line and asked her to write her name down for me because I loved her customer service and wanted to tell others about her & my experience. If you know what I know be sure to have all of your Customer Service Reps trained by Ms. Q. Scott. Forgive me if the name is not clear as I lost the note she gave me yesterday with her name on it but, I can do you one better, she is the brightest little light on your Customer Service Team with the patience of a saint and a warm sincere approach. She is not a youngster but, I almost forgot, she has a twinkle in her eyes! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Heavenly sent for the holiday season... She needs to be valued & appreciated.
