OMG I’ve been craving Ice cream for weeks, but I get off work too late. But today!!! (HAPPY DANCE) I was able to get my Banana Foster/Strawberry double scoop waffle cone! ☺️💯💯💯#HAPPY

This is a small little place with a couple different counters. They serve all types of chocolate (shocking!) as well as fudge, ice cream, and specialty coffees and drinks. The service was quite slow, but the fudge and the coffee were great! An overall good experience if you are in the area.

The ice cream is good, the staff is good, but there is a huge issue. I was walking around downtown with my 5 year old son and 3 year old daughter and decided to stop for ice cream. We spent $17 for 3 people, which was a fair price and it was very good. After eating the ice cream, my 3 year old asked to use the bathroom. The cashier told us that there is no customer restroom at the location. Kind of ridiculous to sell food and drink, have indoor and outdoor seating, and offer no restrooms.

What a quaint little chocolate and coffee house right on Monument Circle! We took a short walk from our hotel trying to find something different than Starbucks and fell upon this place just by happenstance. We ordered two cafe mochas and were given chocolate covered spoons to stir in! Delicious! Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Terrible service. I waited 10 minutes in the front of the line, then when I try to order something while being ignored, they decide I’m in the “ice cream line” cmon, be better!

Where you can get the best strawberry banana smoothie youve ever had in your life ask them not to blend it completely because it is absolutely sensational with those little beads of ice Ive been drinking this smoothie for like over 10 years at this exact same place

My friend and I stopped in here for hot chocolate and it was AMAZING. She got the dark chocolate and I got the LaSalle mint. The woman who was working on Monday night was an absolute artist with that coffee machine. 100% worth the trip.

The store looks cute. A good place to stop by and take a rest when walking around downtown. But their hot chocolate is way too sweet, the sweetest I’ve ever had. And there is no sugar level option. You are basically drinking a cup of heavy cream and spoons of sugar. I couldn’t finish it and let it sit over night, the texture became as hard as cream cheese. It grossed me out.

Ice cream is always welcomed in my life. So many flavors, it was hard to choose. I was allowed to get two different flavors in one small. Totally worth the price ($4). I love chocolate! I seek it out wherever I go. This is most likely the worst Ive ever had. I tasted (free sample) a malted milk ball. It wasnt good. While this should have been a good indication, lots of places dont have good m.m. balls. I got a couple of different chocolates. The picture is a orange cream. NOT very creamy. Stale, and thats a compliment! Very dry and not even a good orange flavor. I dont know why this place has a good rating! Going back to the malted milk balls...if youre ever in the airport, go to Natalies near the American gates. Best malted milk balls Ive had in a long time! This place is waaaaay overpriced! I seriously wouldnt eat the chocolate candy if it was free! Im only here until 5 am in the morning. If I was going to be here long enough, Id go ask for a refund. The candy is literally going into the trash.

Hours posted online said that they opened at 12pm on Sunday. At 2pm, they still werent open and said they would be open in about 15 minutes. There were no hours or changes posted on the storefront to indicate this odd opening schedule. Customer service was very poor and the staff member didnt seem educated on their candies or able to describe them. Chocolate itself was fair. Not sure its worth the money, though. Unfortunate, since it seems like it would be a neat little shop. If you do go, masks are non-negotiable at this time.

I went to college in south bend so I developed a taste for this place at an early age.When I moved to Indy I was so glad to learn that this was located on the circle.I’ll be honest that I usually only come here when it’s cold, I know they have awesome ice cream but I’m just a big fan of the hot chocolate, and looking at the lights on the circle.Service is always quick, and the store is always clean, the classic bear is always decorated for the season, the displays are set up in a way that just makes you want to shop!There is a separate little room off to the side that people can sit in as well.I noticed that there is a frozen yogurt place attached, I’ll have to head back and check that out.My go to drink here is the Mexican hot chocolate, it’s chocolatey spicy goodness and prefect for cold weather!

Some darn good hot chocolate especially on cold day. And all the staff was so nice and helpful. I am sure behind the mask they were all smiling thanks for a great experience.

Love the chocolate. They have the best coconut haystacks in this city. You also have to try out their hot chocolate. Its a much needed treat for these cold, winter days.

One of the best ice cream places I have been through in the US . Love their chocolate mocha flavor . Staff is friendly and nice and I feel their ice creams are worth very single penny you spend for them 😋

Went to the circle last night to walk around & get a cup of hot chocolate at our favorite place. Their outdoor seating, always smiling staff, and cheesecake always makes it a perfect night. All the girls are so nice & give my kids samples of all the pretzels which always makes them beg to come back. We hope the Chocolate Cafe is here for years to come!

Took my wife here for Ice cream had to ask for the right kind of ice cream twice. Absolutely rude and eye rolled me three times. The refuses me service because all I had was a hundred dollar bill.. going to the ice cream shop in the square now. Wont come back!

Staff is always kind and helpful. Great ice cream, awesome location and outside seating. Just slightly expensive for what you get but my daughter loves it so we visit weekly.

Not great ice cream, at least the dairy free bday cake and the s’more’s flavors, worker used her gloves for both adjusting the ice cream on the cone and handling cash at the register. Workers weren’t unfriendly and we didn’t try anything else in the store, so this gets three stars.

We love South Bend Chocolate! Everything is good. Literally everything. If you havent been you can try anything and be impressed. Definitely get the hot chocolate and cherry cordials. Highly highly recommend!!

Great ice cream! The staff was very helpful and friendly. We stopped in for a late night treat and were not disappointed. Great location. I will being going back to try some of their other goodies. Prices were reasonable for the location. No complaints here.

The rude help that works there make this place uninviting. My hot chocolate was like water, white castle hot chocolate is 10 times better. Totally ruined the atmosphere of a cold Christmas outing with the family. Not clean either.

I stopped by to try their Mexican hot chocolate and it was delicious! Also, the customer service I received was outstanding. Good customer service is important to me and Alex represented the company perfectly! Alex extremely nice as soon as I walked in and was able to get me my hot chocolate quickly.

I have always been a Godiva dark chocolate kinda girl, but not anymore. Not very great service when I went (might have been a rough day for the cashier?) but the hot chocolate was BOMB. I recommend the cherry jubilee- hands down the best. If I end up downtown again anytime soon, I’ll definitely be stopping by for another!

I love coming in here and buying ice cream for me and the kids! I always get 1 cup for them to share because it is a big scoop! Definitely come in for ice cream on the off season, short or hardly any lines!

A young woman that works here was running around helping tons of customers and she was still super friendly and helpful. She explained some of the different chocolates and the different coffee roasts patiently while being really busy. I love chocolate and she made the experience so much better!

Its a fun little chocolate shop that is located in the heart of Indy. They have all sorts of confectionery items and would recommend heading in for some pastry and coffee. There is also a huge stuffed bear at the entrance to the store that you can take pictures with. Chocolate is good and lots to choose from.

Best hot chocolate Ive ever had!! We go every year on Christmas Eve to see the downtown lights and get a hot chocolate. Its become one of our family traditions. Highly recommend!!

Yummy yummy the ice cream went in my tummy. The grasshopper was great. It was a nice finishing touch after a great dinner on the town. Awesome decor and excellent staff. Recommend others to come and see this place. Nice relaxing place to enjoy a sweet treat with somebody.

Despite it being very busy (it was the day before Christmas on a beautiful evening), the staff handled it politely and professionally, even with the rush on hot chocolates! A gentleman in line asked me if they sold their hot chocolate mix and I replied, I dont think so...they make it from actual chocolate. Truly the best hot chocolate in town. All flavors are equally delicious, dark, white, regular, peppermint, cherry, etc. A family tradition for over 20 years!

Customer service NOT GOOD! Every time I come they are out of something. I’ll just stop coming and stick to Godivas for now on their customer service is always great and if they do run out of something they at least let me know when they will be restocked!👿

Treat for your sweet tooth! Great place for chocolate, ice cream and milkshakes! The service is quick but the desserts are slightly pricey. The location is a big plus as you can hang out with your loved ones after a meal and walk around downtown. Love their chocolate eruption cheesecake (I am drooling writing this!) and chocolate milkshake! Definitely recommend this place! Try for yourself and enjoy your dessert! Cheers! :D

Love, love, love this place. But I love them even more when they have SUPERMAN ice cream, since this is really the only place where I can find it.

We love coming here for a slice of cheesecake or a fondue for two! Its a nice place to sit with a fresh cup of coffee, too.

Scrumptious desserts. One of the best cheesecakes I have ever ate. Delicious ice cream flavors. You should try the Georgia Peach (🤤🤤). Although this place is very small for all the customers they have like, every day. Really good location. Suggest: improve the staff service to the customers. It’s not really heartwarming. And also needs more employees, because there’s always like 2 in the ice cream area (which is always frequented by a large queue of customers) and the service is just really slow.

I went in today and asked for a latte and I honestly have to say that if that you add enough sugar and cream itll taste like McDonald coffee not that its any good either, the latte was piping hot but it had no flavor, it was bitter a little chalky and tasted old. The atmosphere was decent and Christmassy. If you want a good coffee try out BEEs coffee.

This is one of my favorites places at downtown but,Today I had a very bad experience, the two young ladies who take my order are so rude with me and my little son , I really like this place but after today I think Ill never come back :(

Have gone in here to get ice cream multiple times. Always good and the size of the cones given are always more than expected. It is also connected to a frozen yogurt place so you have options.

1 star for not stocking lids and not making that well known BEFORE purchase. Now Im heading to my car with a open cup of hot chocolate. Other than that my drink was too sweet. Tasted like pure sugar not so much chocolate but thats just me. Some may like it that way. I wont be a repeat customer, this spot is not for me.

DisappointedThis was a 2 dip cone. I had to correct to the lady to the correct flavor on bit scoops. Very small portions. Ice cream was soupy. We were told it was just warm. Definitely not worth the 11 bucks I spent. Should have gone to steak and shake.

I really enjoyed the chocolate fondue... They didnt have a great variety of dipping fruit but what they had was good quality

The worst ice cream had ever in my life

A great place for a sweet fix in the center of town. Gets really packed as the night goes on. If you want to stop with your family, I recommend later afternoon.

The products are great, but the service is seriously lacking. My coworkers and I went in for a late afternoon snack to celebrate a birthday, but were chastised for sampling the ice cream, and treated like we were a burden on their day. We all ordered small cups (2scoops) and those of us who sampled the limit of 2 flavors, were only given 1 scoop. When we asked the employees why we only received 1 while others received 2, we were told “well you had samples so you only get 1 scoop!” The experience was not worth the money spent.

My husband and I LOVE this place!! Fantastic coffee. We always stop in for a beverage and purchase whole bean coffee to take home. Theyre selection of sugar free candy is also wonderful.

I look forward to making a trip here again. So many things to choose from! I ordered a small grasshopper ice cream and my friend ordered a small chocolate covered cherry, each came with a malt ball and we paid less than $8, but a small is more than you get other places. Both were delicious!! I bought some fudge to take home, its so creamy. Very good prices.

This place literally has the best chocolate in town. The price is utterly worth it! I frequently buy their chocolates as gifts and I i have never had a disappointed recipient.A great place to buy chocolates.

If ur open until 12A u should be able to order anything on the menu and that’s not the case! We couldnt get coffee or hot chocolate and the staff is extremely rude. Definitely won’t be back!!

Went on Xmas Eve. Super long line, which is fine. But the clerk kept yelling at people for opening the door. (We had a 60 degree Xmas here, so it wasnt even cold). He was complaining the entire time about not having a coat (again, something that seems on oversite on his part). I figured it was just a bad day for him. We returned on the 26th of December, zero line, zero wait. Same clerk was still there, and was complaining about something else to one of other workers. Maybe I just caught the same guy on two seperate bad days, but he needs to realize that hes representing a company, and needs to at least try.

An Indianapolis Indiana must visit. Right on the Monument Circle where the governors mansion used to be. Get an ice cream cone and sit on the steps of the monument. Watch The motorcycles and horse-drawn carriages go around the circle. A fun very cheap afternoon. Highly highly highly recommended.

I went with my family to this place and I wanted to have desert for all of us, but because of the rude employee, I only ordered ice cream for my little son. This employee was looking down at us and she treated us very bad.I won’t be back to this place just because of that lady’s behavior

It wasnt what I expected but I liked this place. It is not a place to go and grab like a breakfast sandwich or any type of food as such, but it does sell coffee, soda, juice, and a huge variety of pretzels, chocolates, and other sweets. So if you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth this place is one to stop by.

Expensive and I personally dont think the chocolate is that great. Harry and David is better. This is unfortunate since Id like to buy from local chocolatier, but I take my chocolate calories seriously. They do have nice packages for gifts, but again, expensive and not much product in the packages.

Horrible, cold and no flavor coffee. We ask for a cappuchino that taste like dirty water. When we asked the barista for a little more coffee her response was the cost for another shot of coffee is $1,30.

Pretty standard fare and nothing too spectacular. The chocolate is all slightly dull and gray which I take to be improperly tempered or stored. I expect chocolate to be slightly shiny, with a nice snap when bit into. So I guess if you are looking to satify your sweet tooth, this will serve. As for me, I reserve the calories for something beyond mass produced.

Best chocolate in Indiana!

It seems a little pricey at first but youll quickly learn that the quality of the chocolate is just unmatched. Also this is a pretty good spot to work since they have outlets and tables.

Cozy place on the circle. Im not the biggest chocolate fanatic so the high priced fudge and chocolate was not high on my list. The logo bar was great and fairly priced

DO NOT eat their frozen yogurt!!!1. The frozen yogurt section was completely unattended. Theres a cash register in the store, but no one worked in there. There were no signs telling us to pay in the chocolate store.2. They do not have sample cups to try to flavors3. The fruit toppings were moldy. When I brought this to the workers attention, she didnt seem to care. I had to ASK her to check the other fruits, for some reason it didnt occur to her to go check on the completely unattended store.....4. The cookie topping was stale.This place doesnt even deserve one star.

Their ice cream is okay but the people working there were very unprofessional. They were on their phones on personal conversations and cussing. We waited and watched her complain about her son then when she got off the phone she asked what did we want, and then she got back on her phone when it rang without giving us a chance to say anything! She even asked me if I wanted to leave a tip. Who does that? I wont be coming back here. Plus the seating outside had homeless sleeping there.

Stopped in for breakfast while having a convention in town, and this place is very good... Great menu, omelette selections are fresh and different... Will stop in next time in town...

I dont know if its the best chocolate milk Ive ever had, but its very good. Plenty for everyone to drink, and a few snacks as well.Just note that seating is very limited inside, so be prepared to take your order to go.
