Great class for beginners who enjoy photography and want to get to know their cameras rather than use preset photos. This class will get you hooked to intentionally utilizing your cameras capability. A must class for every basic camera owner !!! Anthony is a great instructor.

Anthony’s Fundamentals of Photography ClassI have been wanting to take an introductory photography class for quite a while, and I’m so glad I did. Anthony was a phenomenal instructor, and the information you get in this class is going to be way more valuable than Googling things, looking up YouTube videos, etc. I will definitely be looking into more classes at Roberts in the future!

I picked up a new tripod today. The sales associate was super helpful and directed me to a very reasonably priced model that he had experience with. Im super happy with it.The only reason I cant give Roberts 5 stars is because whenever I have my film developed they mess up the delivery of my digital files. They eventually fix it though so I will continue to happily use their film lab!

Have never been to a camera store before as I am new to photography. Was greeted by someone and informed them I was new and what I was looking to purchase. After a few minutes the guy I was working with was Informed a different customer asked for him. He asked if he could help them quick. I said sure, but after about 10 minutes and no one else helping I decided to leave. My $$ matter just as much as the next customers. I work for a local shop and really wanted to support local. The store itself is great and the quantity of things is great, but I went here for help and did not receive it. Maybe I will return in the future, but right now I am quite disappointed because my hopes were high.

Horrible customer service, i politely asked her to throw a coffee away for me and i got a attitude and a side eye in return, also they uploaded pics on the usb incorrectly and i had to return to the store. i wouldnot recommend.

Roberts Camera has an amazing selection and many staff members are well-informed and willing to help, but it’s hard not to feel like a burden when you’re in the store. It feels like there’s an air of pretension and if you look like a novice, some staff members don’t really want to deal with you.I came in to get my film camera looked at and the person who helped me wouldn’t look up from his phone the entire time we were talking. He ultimately said he couldn’t help with the issue I was having. I just found it so rude that he was on his phone and not really paying attention to me.I want Roberts to be my go-to store but I feel nervous every time I have to go in, like I’m going to be looked down on or treated like my needs are irrelevant because I don’t look like a professional. We all start somewhere. Roberts employees could use some humility.

Excellent experience. I have not been to the store in almost twenty years and it was great to be there again buying camera equipment. Store looked great, possibly expanded! Plenty of choices and I got the tripod I liked. While at it, I wanted to look at several Nikon bodies and lenses---Tyler who assisted me did a great job. He was patient and clear and took the time without rushing to walk me through different lens choices and camera bodies. No pressure to buy. The macro lens was too good to pass up so i got that too. What i observed goes beyond just store appearances, for one as we switched to different parts of the store Tyler was able to quickly pull up prices from the nearest computer rather then having to run around or guess prices. Second, while waited for Tyler to bring the equipment, several other employees quickly checked in on me to ensure I was not standing there like log gawking at the lenses. Also, its great to be in the store looking at lenses then surfing on the web. I encourage you do that, whole different feel. So, great store, great people and support technology. So 5 stars.

Well let’s see, all I needed was a little help on a small easy repair on my DVC. So the USB charging port popped out of my camcorder, to me it’s a pretty simple fix for a camera repair shop. But not for these guys, the guy on the just sounded like I was an inconvenience to him. Well I was looking for a camera store to be my go to, considering all the cameras I have now!! Ive purchased things from Roberts Camera for over 30 years. They are always friendly and professional.Recently my wife and I found SEVERAL rolls of 35mm film that were probably 15-20 years old. The lab processed all of the film and put the pictures on a DVD for a lot less that sending them away.I wasnt very hopeful on what we would get, but I was pleasantly surprised. Probably 80 percent of the photos came out OK and probably half of those were great!The memories are priceless! Thanks Roberts Camera!

Good deal on a used Sony Camera. They provided detailed pictured of the body and sensor and a shutter count. They also answer questions quickly via phone and email. I would definitely buy new or used from them again.

Recently bought a used Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L USM telephoto lens from Roberts off eBay from their Used Photo Pro used department. A great experience, it was all packed and ready to go when I went in the next day and picked it up. Their grading system on used equipment is totally honest, pricing is fair. Just one of several pieces of new and used equipment I have bought from them, they have me as a permanent customer!

Highly recommend the 4 week fundamentals class. Anthony delivered a excellent class. All the students had different makes and models of cameras. Anthony was able to guide each of us in the use of our camera. The supporting manual was very helpful, and see myself referring to it often

TERRIBLE customer service. I have dealt with this camera store TWICE now, and both times I have had an atrocious experience. I suppose the second time is technically my fault for not learning from the first time around. Most recently I spent over $3,000 on a Canon R6 with a 24-105 Lens. They shipped the camera to the wrong address, and the signature that was supposed to be acquired for the package was never received, the delivery driver just dropped it off to a little girl on a different block! It took me 24 hours to track down the package, I am lucky I ever even got it. Secondly, the lens arrived with a defect in the front optic, and the customer service department condescendingly tried telling me that ALL Canon RF lenses had a defect in the front optic... Like I dont already own 4 other RF lenses that are just fine, and defect free. After speaking with the manager, I was told that I would basically have to send my ENTIRE R6 camera kit back in and they would exchange it, but they are sold out and on back-order so I would have to wait. He wanted me to send my entire camera system back to them NOW, in hopes that within a month or so they would have another one to send back to me. I am not sure how he expects me to do my job as a professional photographer/videographer without a camera in that meantime, but other people typically dont care how you feed YOUR kids as long as their greedy mouths get fed. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT ROBERTS again and I suggest anyone who cares about quality of product and customer service to also save your money and shop elsewhere. Plenty of better camera shops online these days. I spent $5,000 there this year alone and was basically told to go screw myself.

I really wanted to like this place.. I live in the city so its close and I know a few people who claim this is the place to go so I gave em a try. Unfortunately, the first time I went to Roberts to drop off a roll of film from a trip I took, they LOST it. I waited for like 3 weeks for them to tell me it was ready and when they never did I called and figured out they lost it, which they claim almost never happens.Fast forward and I go in a few weeks ago, wanting to give them a 2nd chance. Mind you I shoot analog. The man working in the used cameras was extremely indifferent to all my questions. Kind of treated me like I was annoying him. Weird that someone could work for a camera store and show little to no interest in film. Wondering if the people that work here have a genuine passion or not. Pretty discouraging for anyone looking to learn more. Im definitely going to find somewhere new to go next time.

Always been a fan of getting film developed here. Theyve always been very quick and amazing. But over the past month they accepted my film giving me a quick turnaround time but have randomly ran out of chemistry. Completely screwed me and my client over for our deadline (and Im out of state now). Dont appreciate the false advertising on turnaround times and havent had any sense of remorse from the staff.

I was really sad when the camera store I had went to for forever in Nashville closed. I live on the road as a commercial photographer, and it was always nice to have a place with a knowledgeable, and friendly staff to help me when I need something. I was lucky to find Roberts through a friend, and they are even better than the previous store I had frequented. With them being in Indy they are in a great crossroads city for my travels, and they have already next day’d a new set of profoto B10plus+ when I was having a lighting issue. Nothing beats going into the store though super well stocked with a great staff.........I always look forward to visiting, but when my wife sees the bills she might disagree haha.Thanks Roberts keep up the great work

I shopped Best Buy & Roberts looking for a DLSR or mirrorless camera. I end up purchasing an Olympus OM-D Mark III camera from here. It fell considerably short of expectation on photo quality and it performs very poorly in even moderately low light. I took this and my IPhone 11 Pro w/a Moment Lens on vacation and can say my Iphone was significantly better for 90% of the photos I took.From a consumer experience, I would say Best Buy was superior due to how easy it was to compare pricing & features in-store and online. At BB, the rep was very patient, knowledgable and took time educate me on key features and the difference between brands and models. I definitely felt more sold here vs choosing a camera that was the right fit. I would have bought a higher quality camera and lens had I been presented any other option than the Olympus. Frustrating. 3 Stars for competitive pricing and the amount of accessories available in store, everything else fell short of expectation.

I’ve had 3 rolls of film developed at Robert’s and LOVE the quality of the scans. First off, pricing is the same as Best Buy and scAmazon (be careful what you buy on Amazon, really).Roberts Camera was helpful from start to finish, and they want to remail as such post transaction, which is good for their business and good for me.Heres what I got from them:1. Excellent e-commerce website, easy to navigate, showing a better selection of full frame cameras than best buy, and far more reliable than Amazon, which had some knock-offs listed.2. Helpful and professional staff over the phone. Great listeners, and they know their products. These people are all photographers, and this is clearly what they enjoy.3. Positive experience in-store. Sometimes it can all fall apart face to face, but that wasnt happening here. They were helpful, answered questions, and the prices were excellent. They said they would price match, but it wasnt necessary.4. This place has classes. I can call and ask the occasional question about my camera, but I can also sign up for different levels of photography classes. They even have manufacturer reps come in and do classes on specific cameras. If you want someone to keep coming back and buying photography equipment, set them up for success with that they have already. Its a great business model, similar to what music stores do, and Im looking forward to benefitting from it.

Beware Dishonests, liars and no serious company They sold me a camera Nikon D3s as a excellent condition camera with shutter count 3900 and turned out 89,345 and no excellent condition not only I had a bad time with this, I had to be in a long usps local office line waiting to return the camera risking my life because of the covid 19, waiting for a refund, no apologies no friendly communication 0% customer service, a Nightmare experienced !!

Seriously, even local camera shops in places like Taiwan know about Roberts and say good things.I decided to check it out when I got back to the US a few weeks ago. I was not disappointed. I have been going to Roberts since I got my first real camera for a film class in high school, over a decade ago. Their staff is super knowledgeable and will make sure you get the right camera, they dont ever try to upsell you. In my experience they have actually let me know what cameras are a great deal that week. They also have a used camera selection which had great cameras at price points for everyone. Lastly they also offer printing in any size you need.

Beware. Bought a printer that didnt work out for me, Literally went to return it the next day and was denied because they apparently dont return printers. Even though their website states that they do 14 days hassle free returns and no where on the website it says that if I buy this printer there were no possible refunds. Will never buy from this company again. If you ever have to buy any big merchandise make sure to buy from a bigger company that doesnt advertise a fake return policy. I have never boughten from a company that does not let you return something within days of buying it if It didnt work. Unbelievable.

Update: I have received the correct lens. The customer service was very fast in rectifying my issue and sending out the correct lens. I am amending my review to reflect this.I just got my order and I am very irritated. I ordered a Zuiko17mm 1.8 lens and received a 12mm 1:2.0 lens packaged in a box for a 17mm complete with the instruction manuals. I feel duped. Now I can’t reach anyone on the phone because they are closed. I have sunken over $400 into buying this lens so I’m really alarmed at this experience with Roberts especially for a first time buyer.

I had used them for years with a good experience. Then I ran into a clerk with little photography knowledge, wanting $500 more than most other online shops for the same camera, and offering less for trade in than the other shops. He did not seem to care or offer explanation other than they just try to get the most out of every sale regardless of the value. I would have scored them still higher, but they didnt bother to respond to my complaint. Update: I did contact them and they found my complaint in their spam folder and addressed the issues and promised to make some changes and address staff.

I had been looking for a used canon 200mm 2.8Lii lens for about 6 months. I saw one for sale from Roberts Camera online (usedphotopro). I had purchased a sigma 120-300 2.8 lens from them years ago and found them to be excellent to work with.So the one listed was in Mint condition. It certainly looked in mint condition and was listed for a very reasonable price. Came with everything including box, etc. If it wasnt for the rebate serial number being cut out of the box it could have passed for new.I ordered and received the lens in 5 days. It was as advertised. Perfect. This lens is more of a niche lens and does not have IS and is a prime, but it was exactly what I was looking for. The glass was spotless as was everything else. Even the packing was superb when I received it.The 200mm 2.8Lii lens is an old design, but still works quite nicely and for an L lenses is quite frankly a bargain as long az you dont mind a non-IS prime. And Roberts Camera...I would give them 6 stars if I could.

Wouldnt go anywhere else for camera info or purchase. The expert staff is so knowledgeable. They still sell and develop film in this digital age, and can help you with your vintage, mechanical SLR cameras.
