Very clean and ridiculously fully stocked with all kinds of top brands. It was hard to make a choice because so much good stuff was available. What I wanted was not at the store but the other merchandise and affordable prices definitely made up for it. Definitely would visit again.

I stopped shopping here years ago due to rude customer service and a greedy manager. I bought a can of hair mousse worth about $3 and the nozzle broke with a bottle full of product. I asked if I could exchange it and the manager refused me. I have spent hundreds of dollars easily with this company and they threw it away over a few dollars. Shop black owned and go where youre celebrated not tolerated!

Ive been a customer for years. With the new hours, please arrive no later than 15 mins before closing. At 10 til closing they will not let anyone else in. Someone with be posted at the entrance to make of sure it. This has happened to me twice.

Never have written a poor review but cannot recommend this place to anyone; manager is extremely unreasonable, rude, and will take advantage of your money. Attempted to return an item that the store rang up incorrectly, then was told it was our fault we didn’t have a correct receipt and that it wasn’t possible that they sold the item we bought on the day we bought it, though we have proof on credit. The manager wasted our time, money, and will put you in a horrible mood if you attempt to work with him. Otherwise, the rest of the staff was nice and reasonable.

Is beauty supply store is okay. It has the basic needs with regards to black hair care but when it comes to expanding out the need for colors and versatility and Brands they are lacking. The bonus is that you are able to earn points which translates into money that youre able to use off on your total purchase.

If there was a zero star rating, that’s the honest rating I could possibly give. There have been very few times where service was actually friendly, and some products were defective. Very poor communication with customers about final sales or products. To be frank, if you can go anywhere else, please do.

I could rate it a 0 I would. Y’all do not waste your time here. The workers are very rude and stare you down. I felt very uncomfortable because on the the lady workers kept following me around. I bought a 200 dollar “lace” wig wasn’t even lace and very thin and poorly made.

I suggest you update your policy on desensitizing sensors of customers personal belongs. As a paying customer, I was detained in the store after purchasing my items because of a sensor that was found on a box of Tylenol in my bag. Your employees are extremely rude and unprofessional. I’ve been here many times but I won’t be returning. The perception was that I had stolen something from the store. The man blocked the door and searched my bag multiple times and wouldn’t let me leave. They told me this was their store policy and that they had to find what was beeping even if the item did not belong to them.

Love Beauty 4 U! They have everything you could want and more. Especially the wigs. You can ask the staff for recommendations and they will always help you find what you want. Very friendly and helpful!! Highly recommend if you are looking for wigs!

Very bad experience. Not friendly at all. Always in a rush for payment. Never recommend anyone to go there. It was my first time and last time too. Please teach them some manners if you visit on my behalf.

Ups and downs with this place. Tons of hair products and hair options. Only problem I have is the wigs. Some are priced well. Others, quality varies. I bought one for 45. That one lasted 2 months. The other one was 68 and has lasted 3 weeks. Just because it looks nice, does not mean it is.

This is the closest Beauty Supply store to me which is about a 25 min drive. But its worth the drive and it always has what I need. Nit to mention they have awesome hours! I was struggling with finding a decent Beauty Supply store after moving from chicago, but this place resolved it. They weave selection they have is so great I can be whoever I want when I want. And the prices are very reasonable.

You guys think this store is big well go to where the original Beauty 4 U is (DC metropolitan) ours are k-mart size. Anyways. Its a go to store in the area. Higher than back home but honestly what isnt here. Secondly they really dont know or maybe understand products and what you ask for and you can give the product by name and they still wont understand. Youll just have to wander to find what you need or want. Hard to get assistance. Plus the wigs look cheap and I am not the one who wears weave so that goEs to tell you something. Didnt know they were open til 9 which is a plus due to they are cheaper than the only other late supply store in this city. All in all 3 stars. Learn yall products boo. Oh and maybe link with the other beauty 4 u locations for a better points program. And dont say what you think my point value is until you actually know.

This store has the best prices in town! I love getting last minute supplies here.I got hair color and it lasted me so long that I was actually waiting and begging for it to go away. Mind you.. I was taking really good care of it and using a color stay shampoo I got there and had to stop using it so the color could fade!The customer service was good, they are so sweet and helpful. They had a great sale. Not sure if its still going on. They had but one wig, get another one 1/2 off. They have a great selection on wigs and products! I was able to find a few produts that I have been looking for.

Horrible service, Rude clerks. Dishonest. I went in to look at wigs and asked the clerk if she had a particular wig in stock. In the past I have tried on wigs decided to purchase them, and was informed by the associate that the wig I tried on was the last one available, but I could purchase that display model for 10% off. The problem with this is the wig shows signs of wear and tear quickly when you buy one that many people may have tried on. I now avoid doing this. Many beauty stores, including Beauty 4 U will sell the customer the floor/display model of the wig.This associate became angry today when I asked her if the wig was in stock. She said it was, but she lied and later admitted it was not.Boycott of these stores is the only universal language these people understand. Boycott would force them to provide better service . A Boycott of one of these Asian establishments occurred in the 1990s here in Indianapolis. The event drew media attention and many people refused to buy from a particular store.African American women are the base that support these stores economically. It would not take long for an organized Boycott to put this business under. They should undergo additional sensitivity training and be honest when asked if a item is in stock.

They always have new wigs adding to the huge selection they have. this store has the biggest variety and prettiest wigs. i love coming here and the ladies always provide friendly service!!

This place is big and has so much. The reason of why I am giving it 2 stars is because I feel like they need to change their store policy. I was in there shopping for a wig a couple days ago and it turns out that you can only try out 3 wigs no more than that. They really need to be considerate of people. For one you do not know what people may be going through for example I am going through chemo which caused me to loose my hair just like a lady who was also upset for the same reason when I was in there shopping. If people are willing to pay for the wigs then they should be able to try on as much as they want. Just think that the reason of why you are in business is because of your customers.

Nice shop! They have a good selection in styles, colors, and prices. Like every wig store, you have to buy a cap and you get 3 try ons. Staff was friendly and helpful, and not pushy. Will be back.

We got there just as they were closing. The worker was very nice and told us they would be closing in 5 min. While in line the literally shut all the lights off in the store if it werent light outside we would not have been able to see. Otherwise I was pleased with their rewards program you actually save money.

I have been coming here for over 5 years. They have always had a helpful staff. Now that they have a younger knowledgeable staff and implemented a rewards program that is actually REWARDING.

Went in there today wanted to buy a wig. I usually go in to buy hair products. But the one Asian lady that has a huge round face was rude and acted as tho she was on steroids. There was me and another lady who stood next to me in the isle. I ask the Asian lady who was the only one working in the wig area about the draw string wigs the newest product that is out. She quickly mumbled something and sped off to the back like her butt was on fire the came out and i assumed that they were out. I went to asked her another question about a wig i was going to buy but then she puts her finger for me to wait to help this other lady. The other told the Asian lady to go head and finished with me and that shes not in a hurry. At the point i then thanked the customer for noticing that the Asian lady was non even done with me and started helping someone else. I stated forget it i am not speading my money in here for a rude disrespectful person. So i walked out. I will never ever step foot in that store again. Its right around the corner from where i live. I will drive farther to the north east side to buy a wig...

This is my go-to supply store. If there is a product that you use and it seems like no one else had it ... they will! Everything is organized and it is pretty much you Walmart of beauty supply stores. If you are a wig lover they have a wig section thats not cramped in the back of everything and they always have a sale on something. They are pretty lenient on selling you something you want but the next best thing if they just dont have the product that day. :)

First time and last time. I had a pack of lashes and a pair of earrings and Im told I cant hold my items and shop. They have to hold them at the cash register. Well then they can keep them. Im not shopping at a place where everyone is viewed as a thief.

When I first walked in I was very impressed with the wig selection BUT the customer service was horrible. I am a proud natural and the lady told me I need to braid my hair before I try on the wig, which to me was rude, I asked for wig cap which flattens your hair out and while trying on wigs she comes over and try’s to put my wig on FOR ME if your not a cosmetologist youre NOT touching my hair she proceeds to say their trying to keep the wigs nice as if I would ruin a wig by trying it on once AS IF THE DISPLAY WAS NEW .. I would never give them a dollar. Don’t treat people like dirt n if you don’t like the community you serve choose a DIFFERENT BUSINESS

As a young (29 years now. Started experiencing hair loss 6ish years ago) female experiencing hair loss due to medical reasons, I had mixed feelings about purchasing hair. I used to have really thick beautiful brunette hair. But its falling out and there is nothing I havent tried to make it stop. So Ive decided on a wig alternative. I walked into this store as my first experience shopping for wigs. I walked in and felt intimidated by the selection and more experienced shoppers. But that quickly changed to excitement for all the options and at the thought of walking out with the beautiful hair I had been stripped of naturally.However, when I asked the clerk for guidance, she said I could try up to 3 wigs and then pay a dollar if I didnt purchase. I thought this meant Id pay a dollar for every 3 wigs if a purchase wasnt made. I didnt understand it was a one time deal. The clerk picked out 3 wigs for me, placed them on my head, and then charged me a dollar. I happily paid the dollar and asked to pick out 3 more myself. She said no and referred to the rules again. I explained I hadnt understood correctly the first time and it was my first time ever shopping for hair. It didnt matter to her.Well Im not going to spend $200 plus dollars on something I havent tried on and have no experience shopping for. They just lost a sale. I left feeling very discouraged, cheated, and frankly, very sad.

I bought a product there that did not work literally when I attempted to use it the second time. I took it back to the store for a replacement as the color is perfect. The cashier looks up my purchase history and says that I both the product in February. What does that have to do with a product that no longer works? Then the manager carefully examines the product to see how much product is in the container as if she doubts that I only used it twice. Then she says that I will need to pay a 40% refund restocking fee... Again, why does the customer need to pay anything for a product that does not work? I took my product back and told her I would never shop at their store again. Which she responded to with a smirk of arrogance.

Very disappointed. They have a nice selection but their customer service/ store policy sucks. You have to pay $1.00 for trying on wigs you can only try on 3 wigs if you dont make a selection after 3 choices you then have to pay another $1. This policy is not posted anywhere in the store. That is absurd. Sales person was insentive and opinionated. WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE😔😡!

The staff is always very nice and helpful. Their limit of 3 wigs when youre trying them on is obnoxious, but necessary. Some wigs are of poor quality, but most look fairly natural and hold up well.

When I called back, she answered, and did the regular phone greeting, but then placed me on hold before I could even respond. Needless to say, this place quite possible have good customer service, but the lady I encountered was a very poor representation!!!!

Love the wig I bought. I wear wigs 24/7 and know what I am looking for. I am on my husbands cell phone if you are wondering why a man is commenting. Well I went over to the section THAT Had THE Wigs I Was Interested In AND THE Lady Told Me those are for BLACK Women AND THAT I Was IN THE Wrong section. I told her that is the section I want to shop in and picked out my wig in 5 minutes. I know what I want and did not appreciate the lady telling me. She does not know me! I am going back to see if I can get two more of them. Hopefully I wont have to deal with the same lady.

This place is an ABSOLUTE disgrace. I called well before they closed because I was coming in out of state for a client to grab TWO items. Once I arrived, they locked the doors BEFORE closing hours in my face in the rain, then claimed they had no items on hold at all as they clutched their purses and left. I don’t know who runs this place, but you’re a disappointment. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Thanks for nothing, and I nor my client will be coming to this unprofessional establishment full of liars again.

I was never so surprise or never so disappointed....this is the most segrated place I have been in a long time. There are two area for trying on wigs. One for the women of color (its obvious which is black and which is white) and one for their white customers. The area for black customer had boxes for storage laying around, chairs was patch with duck tape.....then you go over to white area which is separated by wigs except a door opening...its nice and clean, chairs look new....day and nite difference. Havent seen this kind of racism in s long time at least not as open. Gave two stars because employees was nice.

Their hair is horrible and their employees swear they are knowledgeable and they lie and say the hair will last 3-4 months and mine looks like a birds nest after 2 weeks. I bought the genesis brand which is their expensive brand and its a hot damn mess and they will NOT give a discount on my next purchase.

Huge selection compared to places like Sallys and very low prices on little girl hair accessories such as barrettes and clips, (1-2 dollars), but the staff was quite rude.Update 2019 5 years later: i think a family runs this place front desk staff seems to be the new generation now and they are very polite.
