I would have given it 5 stars but this is the 3rd time in the past 5 days that I put in the correct address and it took me to a place far from where I wanted to go. I put it in the 2nd time in all 3 and then it would finally take me to the right place.

Brought this truck that ran good, I took it to a to get look at, well they said I need upper and bottom ball joint, they want to charge me over 1000 dollars to put them in, so a friend of mine told me to go to safe haven I did and they charge me 25 dollars to look at it, they show me what was wrong was what the other place told me, they done the work for 600 dollars. I had no more problem with it. Good mechanics great service. They said they started to take it apart, but it fell apart.

Sold a car to my sister for $2,400. Told me that once he put an engine in the car it would be like new! Right away she could not put gas in the tank. Took it back and two months later she got the car back. SAME PROBLEM!!!! also, some of the doors wont lock, and some of the windows wont go down. Bad oil leak as well and sold it with three tires and a spare on it!!! My sister needs a reliable car to get to work each day and now she doesnt have the money to get another car. Dave the owner refused to take the car back. PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE UNLESS I POST A FUTURE UPDATE INFORMING EVERYONE THAT SAFE HAVEN TOOK THE CAR BACK AND GAVE MY SISTER A REFUND. Sad for my family who believed in Dave and encouraged my sister to buy a car from him. :-(

Took my wifes car to here to get fix. Needed a new Axel. Long story short the part went out again took it to another mechanic that shows me the part he used didnt fit and they stacked washers together to make it fit. I would have gladly paid for the right parts to be used but was never told anything about it. Hack mechanic at best

Took my Civic in OVER 3 MONTHS AGO to have a motor put in. NOT CHEAP! and when I get it back its having more problems than before. So, unsatisfied, I take it back and ask him to fix it. Turns out 2 if the heads in the motor are bad. So I give it back to him to replace and now its been well over 2 MONTHS and all Dave can tell me is that, We are looking for new ones, quit asking please! Ok..Well I kind of need my car? In the past week Ive gotten 3 mechanics..3!! that have heads ready to go. I have a total of 7 heads from 3 mechanics just asking for my money. Every time Ive come in in the past 3 months, they are ALWAYS working on their own vehicles that they race. So if you want someone whos going to take their time to worry about your car and not theirs, dont come here!!

Bootleg Mechanics! Dave and i agreed on a $1000 to put my motor and transmission in my 87 Monte Carlo and it took him 8 or 9 months just to do a install on a old car like that I only went for 305 to a 350 wow big difference ,paid my balance in full and gave him extra money for tips. So when he finally got done with my car the motor was tapping and he didnt bother to fix it, put clamps on my exhaust that supposed to be welded, didnt hook my accelerator cable up to my carburetor so now my transmission doesnt shift gears and they also didnt connect none of my wires back up so my whole dash do not work and played me out of a perfectly fine carburetor and gave me a old carb with all kind of missing pieces that he said he switched and didnt and this MF had the nerve to tell me i owe him another $500 for some work i couldve paid a dope fiend to do. I wouldnt recommend anybody to go there if they car broke down in front of his shop. No ASE certified mechanics and he hires anybody they say they can work on cars. Dave probably aint even ASE certified

He did a great job fixing our transmission. He found a great deal on the transmission and it only cost $400 labor, which is a really great price.

Im disappointed w my service. I wanted to be sure i was driving my car safely from Indiana to Texas. I met Dave & explained how i really dont know much about cars, told him how shops always take advantage of me & dont fix my car right. I trusted Dave to get my car ready for 1000 mile drive. I left my vehicle for an entire month. I said, please just fix & whatever else you see wrong, can you tell me, so i can have you fix that too. My concerns were making it safely on the road, driving alone, i did not want to be stranded. I paid 1800$ cash, by week 2 of the month my car was there. I know it wasnt wise to pay before done. But i just wanted to get payment out the way, because i trusted Dave would understand my frustrations of previous experiences & get me running right. I cant remember the exact repairs. I just remember my engine needed to be taken out to do something to stop the oil from leaking. I got 1 axle & ball joint done. Oil change. Filter & some other minor stuff. Im not writing this post to say i didnt get what i paid for.. although i remember hearing him say he was goin to do both axles (why only do 1?).. well when i picked up my car, i was told i needed new tires & thats why my car was vibrating. When i pulled off, i was still hearing a clicking sound underneath, there was a loud swishing sound because someone didnt put a cover back on right. Took my vehicle to a different mechanic & ended up needing something done to my tire rod & also needing uv joints (the reason it was vibrating & clicking).. & i was told that whoever worked on it previously, there was no way they could have missed me needing these repairs as well. My issue was my safety & idc how much more i needed to pay, i would have paid, i just dont understand how Dave would play w my life like that. It made me sad because i give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Im a very honest & fair person. I called 2 times & i feel like i was being ignored. So i wrote this long drawn out review. Because im the type of person who reads reviews. This is not to take away from the character . But to say. Either someone was being lazy or they just didnt care. Overall im just happy i made it safely on my move... oh, & my steering column had smoke coming from it yesterday ... i can not blame that on this business, because i had someone else work on it too, or it could be something that just happened on its own.

I blew up my engine on the Interstate and was blessed to find Dave and Save Haven who found me a rebuilt engine and a fair deal on removal and installation. Back on the road quickly.
