I bought my longboard from Ehler’s around a month ago and have already gone out on it a dozen times and am having a blast cruising up and down Huntington and Newport’s beaches. I grew up here but just never got on a board of any kind for some reason, so I was ecstatic when I picked up my first board at their shop. They had a cool variety of decks and designs to choose from and I even decided to splurge on a very groovy pineapple and flower design they had available as a grip tape option. It’s beautiful, and it rides like a dream even though I am learning how to skate for the first time. I will definitely be coming back to add to my collection once I don’t like an idiot carving and can stay on my board for longer than five minutes.

It’s the most perfect feeling board I’ve ever ridden and most assuredly the most beautiful board I’ve ever seen and I used to always buy sector 9, so I’m used to a high end ride.Coral pink blood orange sliders, coral pink reverse kingpin caliber trucks, natural wood blue toned 40” elk kick tail with flamingo grip tape. All that and when I received the board it was Purrfectly tuned to my somewhat of a loose truck preference that gives that free floating feel.Dealing with Ryan was a pleasure and I’m stoked to have found his company.

Amazing Longboard Shop. They have amazing boards for amazing prices. Ryan, the owner, was super helpful, answered all my questions and helped me with everything I needed. I Ride an old sector 9 and purchased a long board from Ehlers for my wife. She loves hers and it rode better than my board. (Amazing flex, responsive trucks, incredible wheels and bearings, super smooth and fast ride) Our two kids (9 and 12) wanted a board too so they spent their own money and loved customizing theirs online. I live in Huntington so I simply emailed Ryan, told him Id like to pick up in store and the shipping was refunded. As someone whos been boarding for over 10 years, these boards are by far the best boards you can get for your money. My son was a little disappointing in his as he got the wrong profile for his size and weight, and was discouraged thinking that you couldnt return a custom board. I emailed Ryan and he hooked us up with a lighter flexier board. My son absolutely loves it now and boasts that his deck is better than all of our boards. Im happy to support a local Huntington Beach company who produces amazing quality long boards, for almost 1/2 the price of these name brand companies. We are originally from Orange county, moved to Idaho in 2006. We were in town 4 years ago to visit family when I found the shop on google. We stopped by on the way to the beach and bought 3 complete boards.We were back the following year and bought 3 new sets of wheels.Last week, we stopped in to purchase another board after mine was stolen. I got a gorgeous, quality double kick long board from here. I always get compliments and offers But my board and I are long term. They gave me extra wheels!! Ive gotten really accustom to soft wheels so they threw some in for me. Theres so much to choose from I was upset I only brought cash for one board and gloves.

My experience with this shop was great! You wont find another place that has this quality and service anywhere else. This place is legit! I walked in thinking it was going to be another overpriced skate shop filled with teens that hate their lives and instead I got fitted like a custom shoe! They have an overwhelming selection of decks and with a little time and some trial runs on their tester boards I found exactly what I wanted at a great price. All in all they took what usually is a boring experience and left me leaving with a smile on my face. Thanks guys!! Ill spread the word.

Been going to ehlers for years. Unfortunately his boards are so well made that you wont need to go back more than once a year! I went in after not being in there for several years and now he is in a bigger location! When we purchased new boards, he gave us a sticker and booklet. On the booklet were user submitted photos and mine was on there from years ago! 10/10 go see mah boi ehler again!

I called Ehlers last week in search of a longboard. Heres my experience...Ryan was very friendly and patient on the phone. I asked him several technical questions about his decks and he seemed very happy to chat. I told him I would try to stop down the same day. He told me whatever deck I wanted he would have it ready for me right away.Upon arrival, he was helping a group of local students check out the test boards. He immediately showed me to my deck and suggested I hop on all the test boards as well. I continued to probe him for technical details and idle chit chat about the business. At first I was only going to buy the deck, but I decided at the last minute to let him built me a complete setup. Despite the fact that he had so many online orders that he wasnt going to finish them all that day (his words, not mine, and sorry if you got your board a day late because of me), he stopped and built mine right there on the spot.When I got back with the money, the board was already done and it looked good enough to eat, which I tried to do in the picture he snapped.So far, the board is fantastic. I went with the drop down slant, green stain, clear grip tape, Paris 180mm trucks, and 70mm/78a white wheels. The ride is a smooth, sure-footed dream. With the low center-of-gravity, I can ride with a lot less fatigue. the deck itself is firm and confident, but I can also get a little bounce and flex in the middle when I jump (which is really fun on a solid maple board!!). Overall, Ehlers Longboards have surpassed by beginner needs in a big way. Oh yeah, have I mentioned it is near impossible to beat his prices?!Go see Ryan Ehlers for your longboard needs, he will fix you up!

I was searching the internet for bearings and a skate key to tune-up my longboard and found the pricing to be pretty high plus shipping... so I decided to search local and lo and behold, Ehlers is spitting distance from my house with nothing but 5 star reviews! I look online and his prices are really very low so I decide to stop in and pick up my parts.This is a TINY shop/warehouse space with TONS of great inventory. Decks stacked to the ceiling, trucks, wheels, etc. A couple of guys working to fill internet orders are very nice, if very quiet welcomed me. Then Ehler himself came out to greet me and gave me a run down, and after a conversation had me trying some of his boards in the local hood.I hopped on a couple and fell in LOVE with the feel of his boards. I ended up walking out with my replacement parts and a brand new 10x40 drop deck in my favorite colors for about half the price of a big-brand board and I get compliments on it everywhere.Ive been recommending everyone I that asks me about the board right to him.Great job!

I live in the Midwest. I bought my longboard from a Texas ebay store, a new board only LandYachtz 9 two 5 for $150. The board arrived with the grip tape all curled up around the edges. I had started the return process hoping that the ebay store would give me some advice on how to fix the problem or take the board back and send me something that was really QCd - didnt want the hassle of returning the board, had the Paris trucks and Blood Orange wheels ready to mount. It was 7pm, (the shop I bought the board from took more than 24 hrs to respond to my first email) and I knew that all midwest and east coast shops were closed, so I googled Orange County Longboards and Ehlers popped up. I called and got Ryan. He was so kind to give me a solution of heating up the curled up grip tape with a blow dryer and pressing it on firmly with my thumb. One layer of skin gone on the thumb, but his proposed solution worked great. Outstanding support and I did not even buy the board from them --- I plan to guide future purchases their way just because of their outstanding customer support --- oh and they answered their phone on the second ring ---- who answers their phone any more.
